2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 amfAR New York Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other attendees at the 2015 amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday (February 11) in New York City.

Kendall Jenner: The model wore a striking red Romona Keveza Fall 2014 sleek asymmetrical gown styled with gold glitter Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps and working a Gigi Hadid slicked-back do. You may remember that Rachel McAdams wore this same dress last year.

Toni Garrn: I love Toni but, as beautiful as she looks here, her love for Elie Saab lace gowns is starting to get repetitive. Here she opts for white following black and green offerings in the past. This look was styled with a Rauwolf clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti Design black suede sandal with golden leaf embellishments. If I had access to Elie Saab that’s all I would wear too, but I wish she would consider some of the other dresses on offer. A printed Elie Saab dress wouldn’t go amiss.

Iman: Shutting down the red carpet, the supermodel showed the youngsters how it’s done wearing a striped colourful look from Balmain’s Spring 2015 collection. Oozing natural style of the like the aforementioned could only dream about, this was one of my favourites of the bunch.

Nicole Kidman In Mugler – 2015 Grammy Awards

Nicole Kidman In Mugler - 2015 Grammy Awards

Nicole Kidman accompanied her nominee husband Keith Urban at the 2015 Grammy Awards, hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (February 8).

The statuesque actress wore a short black, body-con dress from the Mugler Pre-Fall 2015 collection.

But this wasn’t just any LBD; this frock exuded elegant sophistication with a distinct punkish edge thanks to the exploded grommet detailing throughout.

Strappy Prabal Gurung heels completed the effortless yet effective plus-one statement.

Kim Kardashian In Mugler & J. Mendel – Paper Magazine Break The Internet Issue Release Party

Kim Kardashian In Mugler - Paper Magazine Break The Internet Issue Release Party

Kim Kardashian attended the Paper Magazine Break The Internet Issue Release Party to celebrate her cover held at 1111 Lincoln Road on Thursday (December 4) in Miami, Florida.

The reality star donned a sexy two-piece look, consisting of a Mugler bandeau and J. Mendel maxi skirt with a thigh-high slit.

Yes, it’s another belly-baring look, but here she serves up just a slice.

What struck me about this look was how effortless this look was.

For once the hair wasn’t strictly slicked back, the makeup was more neutral and didn’t feel too heavily contoured, and even the accessories were kept to a bare minimum, with just a few diamonds and gold-embellished sandals to speak of.

Effortlessly chic or bland by her standards?

Models @ The 2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

Aside from Taylor Swift’s after-party look, there wasn’t much to shout about on the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held at London’s Earls Court on Tuesday (December 2) which had a distinct black or white theme.

Karlie Kloss: Standing out for its non-revealing nature was Karlie Kloss’s look. The figure-hugging silhouette and sexy slit worked in an artful juxtaposition with the demure high neck and almost Victorian bow to the neckline of the Alexander McQueen dress, which was styled with a skull-clasp clutch.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Too tight and so tacky. That pretty much sums up my feelings about this ridiculous yet expected Balmain Spring 2015 look. A sure contender for WDOTY.

Candice Swanepoel: Also taking the revealing route was Candice, whose Zuhair Murad white floral embroidered sheer long-sleeve Spring 2015 gown left precious little to the imagination.

Jennifer Lawrence In Ulla Johnson & Mugler by David Koma – ‘Good Morning America’ & ‘The Colbert Report’

Jennifer Lawrence In Ulla Johnson & Mugler by David Koma - 'Good Morning America' & 'The Colbert Report'

Jennifer Lawrence continued to promote ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ on ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘The Colbert Report’ in New York City yesterday (November 14) ahead of its November 21 release in the US.

‘Good Morning America': The actress started her day wearing a white and grey striped Ulla Johnson Spring 2014 shirt-dress with an interesting layered knotted skirt, which was a perfectly relaxed, laidback look for morning TV. She styled the look with Aquazzura taupe ‘Viola’ sandals and Oliver Peoples Shaelie mirrored sunglasses with her wavy hair pinned back on both sides.

‘The Colbert Report': Her second look of the day came much later in the evening and was once again created by David Koma for Mugler. Her blue mini dress with a plunging neckline and matching blazer features the same stitching details we saw on her after-party gown. Adding a touch of sparkle to her look, she wore Christian Louboutin embellished black pumps, once again opting to pin her hair back.

I’m more inclined to favour the chic tailoring of the second look, but I love the youthfulness and laidback nature of the first look.

Jennifer Lawrence In Mulger by David Koma – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ After-Party

Jennifer Lawrence In Mulger by David Koma - 'The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1' After-Party

Jennifer Lawrence attended the after-party following the world premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ held at Victoria House on Monday (November 10) in London, England.

Changing out of the Dior frock into something a lot more risqué, the actress wore a white gown with a deep V neckline, an open back and metal detailing which was designed especially for her by Mugler’s creative director, David Koma.

It’s not often I get to use the words ‘Jennifer Lawrence’ and ‘sexy’ in the same sentence, but on this occasion it would be impossible not to with so much cleavage on display.

Creases aside, I love this more mature look. So far I have been impressed with the variety in Jennifer’s looks; perhaps it’s not going to be the Dior-fest I thought it was going to be after all.

Elevating the silver-toned detailing, she styled her look with matching open-toe sandals and David Webb jewels.

Many took great exception to her premiere makeup, but I don’t think much has changed in that department for the after-party so possibly the lighting was at fault for what many deemed to be a makeup malfunction.
