Fan Bingbing in Monse – ‘Sky Hunter’ Beijing Premiere

Fan Bingbing was back on the red carpet for the ‘Sky Hunter’ Beijing premiere on Thursday (September 21) in China.

The actress has been stepping outside the box of her billowy gowns and ultra platforms, and I couldn’t be more happy to see her explore other dimensions of her style.

This Monse Resort 2018 combined menswear inspiration with flowy femininity for an intriguing effect.

While I preferred the fit of the jacket on the model, Fan worked this outfit to her advantage.

And, again, she gets bonus points for her footwear with single-sole booties a perfect choice instead of hooves.

Andrea Riseborough In Monse – ‘Battle Of The Sexes’ Special Anniversary Screening

Shining in golden yellow, Andrea Riseborough attended the ‘Battle Of The Sexes’ Special Anniversary Screening on Tuesday (September 19) in New York.

I’m still adjusting to seeing the ‘W.E.’ star’s peroxide crop in comparison to the long, raven locks she had during her first red carpet appearances, but this direction is intriguing.

After playing about with a Saint Laurent one-shouldered, cognac leather mini at the ‘Battle Of The Sexes’ Toronto premiere, she chose a softer look with this golden Monse Fall 2017 gown.

The peek-a-boo shoulder cutout was a refreshing take on the staple detail and the dress’s golden colour was enhanced by Andrea’s red lip.

The surprise blue shoes were another pleasing addition so I would have liked to see the gown shortened a few inches so they could be seen better.

The one earring look is something that has graced many runways of late, but I would like to see it removed here as I don’t think it adds anything or balances out the exposed shoulder.

E!, ELLE & IMG’s NYFW Kickoff Party Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Tracee Ellis Ross, Kate Bosworth, and Gabrielle Union, a number of other lovelies showed up to the E!, ELLE & IMG’s NYFW Kickoff Party—A Celebration of Personal Style—on Wednesday (September 6) in New York City.

Nadine Leopold: The pyjama effect was not lost on Nadine, as she wore the loungewear-as-outerwear trend in this Alberta Ferretti Resort 2018 foliage-patterned ensemble. The effect came across as polished, thanks to her sleek styling that included Jenny Bird earrings and pointy pumps.

Hailey Baldwin: We’ve seen a few interpretations of boxy, mannish inspiration take hold in womenswear on the red carpet, and Hailey’s Toga Fall 2017 plaid suiting can be added to the list. But, leave it to Hailey to bring sexy appeal to the boxy look with her powder-blue Lonely ‘Lulu’ underwire bra. Even so, the brightness of her white pumps kept my gaze directed downwards; they were such an odd choice of footwear.

Olivia Culpo: The epidemic of the blinding white pumps continued in Olivia’s look, whereby they shouldn’t have appeared anywhere near this Carmen March Fall 2017 frilly polka-dot dress. Ankles up, it was such a fun, flirty look, so it’s a shame about the shoes.

Ana de Armas In Monse – Tiffany & Co. Fragrance Launch Event

Ana de Armas joined Riley Keough on the red carpet for the Tiffany & Co. Fragrance Launch on Wednesday (September 6) in New York City.

While we have seen some beautiful duck-blue looks at Tiffany events in the past – Kate Hudson and Haley Bennett immediately spring to mind – Ana opted for electric blue.

Her Monse Fall 2017 look had a ‘IT’ girl cool vibe about it; marrying contemporary sophistication with utilitarianism.

Wearing the cowl neckline off the shoulder, she was able to allow her Tiffany & Co. necklace to shine.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Monse & Bottega Veneta – The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Maggie Gyllenhaal gave us a double dose of sophisticated looks whilst making an appearance on ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ to promote her new series, ‘The Deuce,’ on Tuesday (September 5) in New York City.

Entrance: While heading into the ‘Late Show’ set, she wore a Monse Resort 2018 black dress that was no ordinary black dress. I was crushing on its nod to edginess in the unzipped cutouts at the shoulders and thigh juxtaposed with the feminine flutter hem. Rust-hued velvet pumps proved an interesting step towards fall.

‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’
: With the velvet heels still in play, Maggie changed into a Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 dress for the show and its aftermath. The look had an alluring, languid ladylikeness that wasn’t shy in boasting its vintage sensibility.

She was two for two as far as I’m concerned. What say you?
