Karen Fairchild In Monique Lhuillier & Kimberly Schlapman In Raisa & Vanessa – 2018 Grammy Awards

Recording artists Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Down were also in attendance at the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) in New York City, alongside their male counterparts in the group Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet.

Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2018 collection took a lighter approach to the designer’s signature hyper-feminine aesthetic. That sensibility was witnessed in the feathered, floaty enchantment of Karen’s gown, rendered in pastel tones with delicate embellishment throughout.

As a result, her thick, dark waves felt a bit heavy, so I wonder if a sleek bun would have served the look better.

As for Kimberly, she opted for a pretty-in-pink Raisa & Vanessa Spring 2018 corset dress, decorated with embellishment and ruffles for a romantic effect.

I was more taken by her bouncy, beautiful blonde curls, though, which for me had just as much of a starring role here.

Both ladies carried white #TimesUp roses, as the pins would have been ill-suited to their gowns.

2018 SAG Awards Red Carpet Roundup

We always do our best to cover everyone, but a few slip through the net. Here is our final sweep of the red carpet for the 2018 SAG Awards.

Kate Nash: My first reaction to Kate in this Bora Aksu dress was, “yikes”, followed by “what on earth possessed you?” Too many frills, too prairie and too much going on; especially from the waist down. This was easily my least favourite of the night.

Niecy Nash: The actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, wore a gorgeous green-hued Julea Domani gown. As always Niecy leaves me spellbound, as she consistently picks the right looks to enhance her gorgeous figure.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Black was of course the shade of the night at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) with celebrities putting their own interpretations on the dress code.

Kelly Clarkson: The singer’s custom Christian Siriano gown will likely draw comparisons to Mary J. Blige’s Alberta Ferretti look because of the contrasting one sleeve. The dramatically full skirt on Kelly’s matched the joy of the shimmering gold fabric. The pockets were a delightful addition.

Allison Janney: The Best Supporting Actress winner’s Mario Dice dress was captivating with the sleek fluidity of the skirt contrasting the beautiful detailing of the bodice. This reinvigorated cut-outs.

The Art of Elysium presents John Legend’s HEAVEN Gala

As to be expected, there was a rush of stars at the 11th annual edition of The Art of Elysium Presents John Legend’s HEAVEN was held on Saturday (January 6) in Santa Monica, California.

Ashley Madekwe: I was a bit surprised to see Ashley donning the Rodarte Fall 2017 look that Nicole Kidman wore to the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. I will say the proportions of the glittery, ruffled look seemed a bit better suited to Ashley.

Rooney Mara: The actress looks to be continuing 2018 with her favoured colour palette of black and white with this Givenchy Spring 2018 lace-accented, asymmetrical dress.

Vanessa Hudgens: I like the enchanting sweep of this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2017 cape gown styled with an Emm Kuo clutch. What betrays the look a bit is the heavy-handed, rust-hued eye makeup, which is a bit too much in the red colour family.

Brittany Snow In Monique Lhuillier – ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ LA Premiere

Brittany Snow joined her co-star Anna Camp for the premiere of ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ on Tuesday (December 12) in Hollywood, California.

The elegance in Brittany’s Monique Lhuillier Fall 2017 gown instantly evident, but it’s the overall execution of the hair, makeup and styling that ensures this gown reached its maximum potential.

Exquisite from head-to-toe with MARLI diamond earrings, a Borgioni diamond earring, and Harry Kotlar yellow diamond ring completing her look.

Sofia Carson In Monique Lhuillier – 2017 Saks Fifth Avenue & Disney ‘Once Upon A Holiday’

Sofia Carson performed at the 2017 Saks Fifth Avenue & Disney ‘Once Upon A Holiday’ window unveiling on Monday (November 20) in New York City.

The singer and actress might be making long gloves her signature accessory as she donned a similar pair at the 2017 Person of the Year Gala.

I must admit that I did have a sense of déjà vu at her Monique Lhuillier Fall 2017 ensemble as it did possess many of the same elements as her gala look.

If I just focus on the present outfit, it still had a magical fairy tale quality from the mix of rich fabrics and long proportions. It is certainly worthy of a performance ensemble.

Had she not been moving about, I would have liked to see the tulle cape worn over her shoulders to really appreciate its sheer finish.

You may remember that Deepika Padukone wore this same gown, sans cape, to the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Pink In Monique Lhuillier – 2017 American Music Awards

Pink and tiered frothy gowns have become synonymous, and that trend continued onto the red carpet for the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA.

While we weren’t fans of her 2017 CMA Awards gown, that didn’t stop her going big again in this Monique Lhuillier Fall 2016 gown.

There’s a part of me which really wants to love this, but I would like to see something new from Pink.

The colour is pretty, but I can’t get over the been-there-done-thatness of the look.

Picking up the blue tones of her dress, the singer accessorized with Narcisa Pheres sapphire tassel earrings, plus rings from Spallanzani and Le Vian.
