Speidi aka Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are busily promoting their new book on “How to Be Famous”.

I’ve done my best to ignore them, but they keep popping up everywhere.

Whilst leaving their hotel in New York to enroute to the “Live with Regis and Kelly” studios, something caught my eye - her Miu Miu embellished socks.

These nude ribbed knee-high socks with multicoloured sequin and bead embellishment epitomized the bourgeoisie mood of the runway.

Heidi ruins that mood, by taking the socks to tackyville pairing them with a gold fur coat, a white mini knit dress and Christian Louboutin’s Mamimo pumps.

She has the opposite to the midas touch, everything she touches turns to blah.

These Fall 2009 embellished knee-high socks were on Net-A-Porter, but they have since sold-out.

Chloe Sevigny was definitely the poster girl for Miu Miu this weekend.

We saw her Spring 2010 look yesterday, this time she wore one of those plunging Miu Miu dress with a built in bra from the Fall 2009 collection.

As much as I like the dress, it’s not really working for me on Chloe.  The previous kooky look fitted her style more than this embellished dress.

Zoe Saldana opted for a colour-block dress from the same collection which doesn’t work either.

Surprisingly the only thing I like here are the berry tights.

I just wish she’d done more with her hair.  It looks very limp here.

Christina Ricci can do sassy and she can do demure.

The beautiful actress opted for a silver Prada dress with an embellished detail on the shoulder.

Ginnifer Goodwin is looks absolutely adorable in this ivory dress adorned with black rosette details.

Simple, but as always oh so chic.

We’re starting to notice a pattern forming with Jessica Alba.

Simple black - or in this case navy - dresses that neither excite, nor delight.

There is nothing wrong with going au natural, but there is a time and a place.

Note to Jessica Biel: the red carpet is not the place.

Please apply some make-up to warm you up a bit.

It bad enough that you are sucking the life out of this dress - which is your trademark - but please a bit of blusher next time.

I beg you.

November 16th, 2009

This event has got to be one of the Best Dressed events I’ve ever seen, as everyone made a magnificent effort.

I’ve never been one to go gaga over Chloe Sevigny, but I absolutely LOVE her in this Miu Miu Spring 2010 dress.

It’s something only the likes of Chloe and Zooey Deschanel could pull off without looking like a grown woman dressing childishly.

Her bejewelled turtle neck dress is so playful and dainty, plus I love her neutral accessories which complement her dress well.

*Sighs*

Kate Beckinsale blew me away at this event.

I love the way her midnight green asymmetrical Andrew GN Spring 2010 gown appears to snake around her toned body.

The draping is magnificent, the embellished belt and shoulder detail adds texture and the look is pulled together with an elegant updo.

This is one of my favourite looks from Kate, who completed the look with a black Jenny Packham Baguette clutch.

Christina Ricci wasn’t brave enough to wear the runway version of this Prada Spring 2010 cloque baby doll dress, but she settled on a forest green modified version which she accented with a silver waist band.

Christina isn’t shy at taking risks, but baring her panties at this event wouldn’t have been quite appropriate.

Is it me or does Christina change her hair colour every time she hits the red carpet?

Jessica Alba’s also opted for a Prada Spring 2010 cloque halter dress.

Looking at the closet match to the runway, I would have preferred her to have worn the runway look as it’s far more interesting.

Red satin Prada heels and a red velvet Prada Velluto Sere clutch from the Fall 2009 collection complete this rather tame look.

It looks like what we saw on the Prada and Miu Miu Spring 2010 runway’s may not be exactly what we will see in the boutique’s.

Eva Mendes’ Miu Miu Spring 2010 black and beige dress, takes the jewel embroidered detail from the runway look to perfect her sexy sheath dress.

I adore her look, especially the hair accessory which adds a bit of pizazz to her classy updo.

The edgier runway version wouldn’t have quite worked for her.

Normally I can match a dress to a celebrity the moment I see it on the runway, which also helps me memorize runway looks.

This Marchesa Spring 2010 embroidered black tulle gown with draped sleeves looks like it was made for Shirley Manson, despite that fact that I would never have consider her for this stunning gown.

The singer gives the gown a romantic Gothic vibe I don’t believe Georgina Chapman was going for, but Shirley really works this look.

Daisy Fuentes saw the magic which Gustavo Cadile created for Catherine Zeta-Jones last week, and created it for herself wearing one of his luscious gowns.

I love the amethyst colour of her Spring 2009 halter chiffon gown, which is slightly modified from the runway as hers has jeweled straps.

This would’ve been the reason she pulled back her hair, so we could see that stunning detail.

Last week Lady GaGa and Carine Roitfeld opted for risque looks from Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2010 collection, but Gwen Stefani opted for something less revealing.

The singer walked the red carpet with her husband wearing a white bustier with a black lace trim, paired with tapered pants from the same collection.

Sexy strappy sandals completed her look.

I keep looking at Zoe Saldana’s strapless Marchesa Spring 2010 tulle column gown with sequin detail and keep thinking that something is missing.

I think a waist band, either contrasting or the same colour of the gown would have given her more of a defined waist.

The actress carried a black Jenny Packham Lipstick clutch to complete her look.

I’m so thankful Carine Roitfeld removed all those OTT silver embellishments from her Balmain Spring 2009 as they were overkill.

The dress is much more appealing without all that bling, and I’m a girl who love a bit of bling.

Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre 120 thigh-high boots complete this effortless look.

Unlike most of the others on this red carpet, Kate Bosworth doesn’t really rock my world.

Her animal print Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 dress is nice enough, but she could’ve blown us away with much more interesting pieces from this collection.

I will always love how Rose McGowan always gives us va-va-voom.

Jessica Rabbit eat your heart own.

Rose’s red Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2009 gown is so sensual and divine.

Of course she adds a red lip to her look.

My only criticism is that she would have looked a hell of a lot better with her hair pulled back.

Fashionista Liz Goldwyn always likes to wear the unexpected.

Her fruity watermelon Sonia Rykiel Spring 2010 jumpsuit was paired with a dazzling pair of heels from the same collection.

Miuccia Prada makes her self designed Prada Spring 2010 dress more wearable, by adding a shirt dress under her chandelier-styled crystal embroidered dress.

Carey Mulligan was also wearing Prada, like so many others.

The Oscar hopeful donned a heavily embroidered Prada Spring 2010 dress paired with shoes with a clear heel from the same collection.

She just keeps getting it right. I predict hope she blows us away this coming Awards season.

One person who never lets me down on the red carpet is Marisa Tomei.

I’m just loving this burst of colour.

The actress wore a 1950s Jean Desses Haute Couture bubble-gum pink cocktail dress from Decades Inc.

Boucheron jewels and a Leiber purse complete this outstanding look.

This is one I will come back to drool over again and again.

Rachel Zoe opted for a one-shouldered Pucci gown

Ciara might have been wearing those fierce Christian Louboutin studded pigalle’s but the rest of her look is really disappointing.

When so many stepped outside the box, or wowed us with drama and colour Ciara’s look is very blah and uninspired.

Mr & Mrs Snoozeville were there also.

She was wearing Armani Prive.

Whilst in Paris I was inspired to write this post about Audrey Tautou.

She had many magnificent looks during her promotional tour of her movie “Coco Avant Chanel” which started wearing Chanel Couture in Paris, and ended wearing Chanel Couture in New York.

Many of you were happy that Audrey mixed things up a bit and didn’t stick to just wearing Chanel, but I thought her best moment came when she wore Chanel.

First and last are my joint favourites with the Lanvin as runner up.

Fan Bingbing joined her cast mates at the premiere of her new film “Wheat” last week, which opened in cinemas yesterday.

Many of you know I have a massive girl crush on the beautiful Fan.

She always looks so amazing on the red carpet, and admire the fact that she doesn’t stick to the same formula.

As you can see from these two looks she can go from quirky a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 look with YSL heels, to a stunning Valentino gown paired with an exquisite diamond necklace.

You may remember that Rachel Weisz wore this same gown during Cannes Film Festival.

In promoting her new film, Fan has appeared on two major magazine covers.

The first was the September 2009 issue of InStyle China.

She is an absolute knock-out on the cover wearing a embellished wool crepe two-tone dress.

Hair, make-up and accessories are all working together to make this a stunning cover.

Her second cover is the October 2009 issue of L’Officiel China magazine, where she wears a Chanel Fall 2009 look which includes the runway white hat.

My first thought was there’s a lot of black at this premiere.

But considering 2 funerals took place in LA yesterday, I think it’s fitting that some of the stars wore black as a mark of respect.

Rumer was a shoe in for Best Dressed this week with her Zac Posen dress, but her Stella McCartney ensemble has trumped that look.

I have been rooting for Rumer for a very long while, and for the second time she gives me red carpet head-to-toe perfection.

The lace jacket hints at nudity without being tacky, whilst the black pants completes the sleek silhouette.

Her deep brunette hair is swept to the side, with jewels kept to a minimum.

If you are feeling a touch of de ja vu with this look, it’s because Stella McCartney wore the jumpsuit version of this lace look to the 2009 Costume Institute Gala.

For once Rumer isn’t upstage by her mother…

…who btw looked stunning wearing a black Oscar de la Renta Resort 2010 dress with black satin Brian Atwood pumps.

Demi Moore’s dress had a large rosette detail on the neckline, from which large ruffles cascade down the front of her dress.

So ladylike, so chic, so Demi, so glad she wore the runway belt. I’m not sure the dress would’ve worked without it.

Audrina Patridge has walked the red carpet a few times without her favourite Alexander McQueen bow clutch, but it was back last night.

The actress wore a black strapless textured See by Chloe dress, with a tie to the waist and a tulip skirt, with Alexander McQueen strappy sandals.

I know blondes are meant to have more fun, but I hope Audrina returns to the darker locks soon.  The blonde was cute a first, but it’s starting to lose it’s original spark.

Jamie Chung looked sassy wearing a rubbery LBD by Giorgio Armani paired with Brian Atwood heels.

The dress is interesting with those sharp details cascading from the shoulder, but what I love here is her flawless make-up.

Margo Harshman opted for a creamy Gustavo Cadile Fall 2009 strapless gown.

I love the ruched bodice and the gold band on the empire-waist, she really looks so elegant in this stunning gown.

A gold clutch and her hair swept up completes this beautiful look.

I didn’t expect to see this ivory Miu Miu Spring 2008 mini dress on the red carpet again, but Jasmine Dustin gave it another outing.

It’s still such a stunning dress, but it really deserved better shoes.

Whilst everyone opted for something youthful, I think the black satin gown Briana Evigan wore was a bit of a safe option.

Caroline D’Amore wore a sexy Dolce & Gabbana trademark strapless bustier dress with a eyelet skirt.

She paired her dress with silver strappy Jimmy Choo’s and a matching clutch.

TV personality Casey Reinhardt wore a Alice + Olivia taupe dress with leg lengthening nude heels.

Sorority Row hits theaters across the US next Friday, September 11, but in the UK it comes out on September 9.

I’m sure many of you will see these pictures of Lauren Conrad matching her tan Miu Miu Double Cross platform sandals with her Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Remy Handbag, and think of two items in your closet that you constant match.

I always match my tan Chloe heels to a tan vintage bag, and my taupe H&M bag with my taupe Nine West open-toe heels. Some things just work well together like Batman and Robin.

Lauren has paired this combo whilst wearing a Kimchi Blue floral playsuit whilst shopping at Barney’s with BFF Lo Bosworth.

She went for a very sophisticated look wearing an ivory blouse and navy skirt whilst headed to Mr. Chow’s for lunch.

And my favourite look was her cute French Connection floral dress worn with her combo whilst strolling in Beverly Hills.
