Esquire’s Annual Maverick’s Of Hollywood

Esquire’s Annual Maverick’s Of Hollywood was held on Tuesday (February 20) in LA, celebrating 23 women and men who are taking creative risks and making bold, innovative work in Hollywood.

Angela Sarafyan: Earlier in the day, Angela had us seeing red—and she continued working the striking colour here. However, the distinct lingerie mood and sheer elements of this Milly look will no doubt land as successfully as her prior entrance did. Had the skirt been lightly lined, I think we’d all be on board.

Donald Glover: I love a good statement jacket, and that was never more true than in this Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 heart motif letterman’s jacket that didn’t skimp on playfulness. I do wish he had paired it with something less formally traditional than pleated trousers.

Lydia Hearst: This Fausto Puglisi Fall 2017 look is a tough one to take off the runway, given its experimental edge. As the coat was already halfway off her shoulders, the overall ensemble may have presented as slightly less haphazard had she just removed it. Read More…

Abbie Cornish In Milly – ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ New York Premiere

Abbie Cornish was at the New York premiere of ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ on Tuesday (November 7).

Nodding to a certain western-style flair, she teamed a white bib blouse with the girlish flirtation of a Milly layered tulle, lattice skirt.

Seeing this look above the waist, with the lariat-inspired necklace, I could almost envision her opting for boots instead of the Casadei white, strappy sandals.

Despite this look being all-white, something felt a tad bit disjointed. Would you agree?

Jennifer Carpenter In Milly – ‘Brawl In Cell Block 99’ LA Premiere

Jennifer Carpenter attended the ‘Brawl In Cell Block 99’ LA premiere on Friday (September 29) looking ravishing in a textured skirt.

The former ‘Dexter’ actress opted for a Milly Fall 2017 number with a highly tactile skirt. Diagonal bands of black and champagne gold were accented with shaggy fringing. Jennifer enhanced the dark colour in the skirt with a black camisole and pointed-toe heels.

A coordinating champagne belt wrapped the look up nicely.

I understand the modifications she made with her ensemble, but I still like the light top with peek-a-boo bra the runway version presented. Which do you prefer?

harper by Harper’s BAZAAR September Issue Party

More starlets were on the guest list for the harper by Harper’s BAZAAR September Issue party on Tuesday (August 22) in West Hollywood, California, joining cover girl Nina Dobrev along with Kat Graham, Julianne Hough, and Jessica Szohr.

Victoria Justice: Bringing a party frock out to play, Victoria donned a little Milly number that was cocktail-festive with its tinsel-like, golden metallic effect. Jimmy Choo pumps were more standard-issue, but with the pared-back styling, the flirty dress took top billing.

Claire Holt: Claire kept it simple in a Zimmermann wrap dress in a rich burgundy hue that heralded in thoughts of the fall season. Beach-y waves and Stuart Weitzman black sandals ensure the mood stayed lighter, though. Some of the creases in the dress made it seem just a tad less polished than it come have been, but it still put forth an effortless, breezy vibe.

Laura Marano: Some may be slightly put off by the visible nude underlining, but I loved this mesh, figure-skimming dress for its elegant refinement and subtle allure.

Variety Power Of Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Yara Shahidi, Zendaya Coleman, and Chloe Grace Moretz, the Variety Power of Young Hollywood Party brought out plenty more PYTs to the festivities on Tuesday (August 8) in LA.

Skai Jackson: Skai can wear sweet looks with the best of them, but I loved how this H&M look combined the adorable charm of her ruffled, floral blouse with an edgier attitude in its black colourway and the addition of the patent-leather skirt. An incredible ’do topped with a few hair jewels along with Stuart Weitzman sandals completed the ensemble.

Charli XCX: Paring back the original presentation of this House of Holland Fall 2017 ensemble, the entertainer wore the PJs-inspired separates with her own rebellious fashion personality. For her, that meant tying the top to a midriff style and adding a choker and neon-orange sandals.

Kaitlyn Dever: While the sky-blue colour of this Prada tea-length, embossed frock was lovely, the fit of the bodice seemed a bit odd. I’m not sure if it was her choker and Aldo ‘Milaa’ sandals, but I was also picking up on a subtle punk vibe that made the look feel a little disjointed.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Sophie Turner and Rose Leslie, there were a number of other stars in attendance at the ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 premiere on Wednesday (July 12) in LA.

Maisie Williams: The starlet channeled mature allure in a Milly slip dress that stood out for its luscious green hue, which she reflected in her eye makeup. By styling the look with black accessories along with Maria Black jewelry, she added a tougher edge.

Kit Harington: Handsome as ever, Kit wore a monochromatic Dolce & Gabbana ensemble that had no chance of being one-note with the decoratively embossed blazer, contrast lapels, and slippers that gave the look a regal, off-duty flair.

Nathalie Emmanuel: Nathalie took the opportunity to walk a more progressive line with this Vivienne Westwood dress that was not only recognizable in the designer’s signature silhouette but also for having abstracted visions of her face printed across it. I love her choice of red lip and silver Sophia Webster ‘Lilico’ embellished shoes as they provided a bold finish without overcooking the oddity of the frock.

Angie Harmon In Milly – 3rd Annual Sports Humanitarian Of The Year

There was nothing sporty about Angie Harmon’s look at the 3rd Annual Sports Humanitarian of the Year on Tuesday (July 11) in LA.

Instead, she epitomized femininity in a Milly Spring 2017 cutout party frock that prioritized flirty allure against a colour-saturated blue-and-pink palette.

This is a case where I love the girly and playful spirit of the dress but I believe it suffered a bit at the hand of the styling.

The white pumps and mismatched blue clutch interrupted what could have been a far chicer effect.
