Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham – May Fair Hotel

Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham - May Fair Hotel

Keira Knightley was spotted making her way to the May Fair Hotel in London on Saturday (October 11).

The actress, who you crowned best dressed last week, wore a delicate Michael Van Der Ham Spring 2015 spaghetti-strap frock comprised of a medley of fabrics giving it a striped effect.

I love how pretty the dress is, plus the underlying feel of deconstructed cool about it, which is further punctuated by the leather Burberry jacket she styled with the look.

Green pumps – when grey or black would’ve been more predictable – rounded out her look, which for once didn’t include a collar.

Diane Kruger In Michael van der Ham – ‘The Affair’ New York Series Premiere

Diane Kruger In Michael van der Ham - 'The Affair' New York Series Premiere

Diane Kruger attended ‘The Affair’ New York series premiere on Monday (October 6) in New York City.

Opting to wear black again, the German actress wore a Michael van der Ham Spring 2015 frock accented with silver floral motifs and striped detailing around the neckline.

The timeless black colour makes it the perfect choice for evening, with a cold-shoulder cut adding a touch of sensuality and embellishments adding a touch of modernity.

I love how the mood is lifted via the light layered chiffon skirt and the hot-pink Dior sandals, with the silver-plated clutch adding a distinct contrast.

Soft retro waves and a softer-pink lip rounded out her look.

Diane was joined on the red carpet by boyfriend Joshua Jackson who looked smart in his Ermenegildo Zegna suit.

When it comes to effortlessness, she is unrivalled.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham, Kate Bosworth In BOSS & Eddie Redmayne In Burberry Prorsum

Keira Knightley in Michael Van Der Ham and Kate Bosworth in BOSS were your best dressed this week.

You were swept away by the dark romance of Keira’s look – which saw her make a brief and welcome change from the expected – as much as you were blown away by Kate Bosworth’s matchy red ensemble, which was my personal favourite this week.

When it came to the gents there was no such competition, as the clear favourite was Eddie Redmayne in Burberry Prorsum. Even the suaveness of usual favourite Douglas Booth couldn’t come close to Eddie’s well-styled brightly coloured suit, which for some would be a risk, but this is standard practice for Eddie.

Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham – ‘Laggies’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham - 'Laggies' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley attended the premiere of her film ‘Laggies’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on Wednesday (September 10).

For the occasion, the star wore a gorgeous navy-colored custom Michael Van Der Ham gown with black and silver beaded applique detailing, and tulle overlay skirt.

She paired the gown with stunning diamond and pearl jewels and simple black pumps.

Keira wears both the color navy and a boatneck neckline so well, and this intricate and creative look is a fun addition to her arsenal of lovely ensembles during TIFF.

A bright red lip was the perfect makeup choice to go with this gown, and paired with gray-lined eyes and slightly purple-tinged eyeshadow, the makeup look is a total win.

Even a slightly messy, low-slong ponytail, thanks in part to an extremely windy red carpet, doesn’t detract from the lovely look.

Olga Kurylenko In Michael Van Der Ham – ‘The November Man’ LA Premiere

Olga Kurylenko In Michael Van Der Ham - 'The November Man' LA Premiere

Olga Kurylenko attended the LA premiere of her latest movie, ‘The November Man’, held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (August 13) in Hollywood, California.

It’s always a delight to see Olga on the red carpet; her style is always impeccable and never predictable.

On this occasion she wore a navy-blue dress with swirling diamanté detailing from Michael van der Ham’s Fall 2014 collection which also features an open back.

The Dutch designer is better known for his appliquéing collages, but here he shows he has more than one string to his bow.

Never one to disappoint in the footwear department, Olga donned silvery-blue strappy sandals, styling the look with a selection of subtle jewels, and a bun with her fringe and tendrils framing her gorgeous face.

Hayley Atwell In Mulberry & Michael Van der Ham – Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Hayley Atwell In Mulberry & Michael Van der Ham - Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration

British actress Hayley Atwell was at Comic-Con International 2014 this weekend in San Diego, California to promote ‘Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’.

Press Line: Hayley’s first look was a simple black Mulberry Resort 2015 crepe dress with intriguing accessories which included her Lulu Guinness ‘Chloe’ clutch with a lipstick as the clasp, tri-colour snakeskin Christian Louboutin ‘Viveka’ sandals, plus a selection of jewels from Naviya London.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: Next up was my favourite look, a patchwork top and skirt from the king of fabric collage, Michael Van der Ham. This Spring 2014 yellow, grey and black look features a floral-jacquard top with black textured-devoré inserts and a flirty A-line skirt. While her Jimmy Choo black and gold pumps and Naviya London jewels were subtle additions to the look, I love the Nathalie Trad ‘Dysdera’ mother of pearl clutch which both stands out and complements the look without overwhelming the outfit.

Sophie Turner In Michael Van Der Ham – Arqiva British Academy Television Awards

Sophie Turner In Michael Van Der Ham - Arqiva British Academy Television Awards

Joining Naomi Campbell and a host of stars, actress Sophie Turner attended last night’s Arqiva British Television Awards ceremony at London’s Theatre Royal (May 18).

Championing a British designer like she has done so many times on the red carpet, the Games of Thrones star opted for a strapless Michael Van Der Ham column dress.

While I’ve enjoyed her colourful Mary Katrantzou printed dresses in the past, it’s great to see Sophie opt for a more grown-up, paired-back palette and silhouette.

The dress is elegantly cut and the smoky eye and gunmetal clutch complement the palette and make for an altogether sexy and sultry look.

I do however think the dress deserved a more slick hair style, possibly something like a side-swept ponytail. Do you agree?

Kirsten Dunst In Michael van der Ham – ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst In Michael van der Ham - 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst attended the ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival this evening in support of her beau Garrett Hedlund.

I’m going to use this occasion to announce that I don’t really get the hoopla when it comes to Kirsten’s style.

She has had some great red carpet moments, but this should not count as one of them.

I think even Jane Fonda at 75-years-old would stay she’s too young to wear this black sheer Michael van der Ham Fall 2013 gown with black and purple velvet appliqués and white lace embroidery.

This is far too frumpy for my liking. Even for someone who is attending as a plus one.

Vanessa Kirby In Michael Van Der Ham – Jameson Empire Film Awards 2013

Vanessa Kirby In Michael Van Der Ham - Jameson Empire Film Awards 2013

London’s newest fashion IT girl is Vanessa Kirby.

She was the darling of London Fashion Week and it looks like she took plenty of notes judging by her colourful look at the Jameson Empire Awards, which took place in London on Sunday evening at Grosvenor House.

Donning an eclectic ensemble by the master of mixed prints, Michael van der Ham, the actress wore a hand-printed brushstroke blouse with an abstract floral-print skirt covered with iridescent sequins from his Spring 2013 collection.

Most stars would settle for the double dose of standout prints, but Vanessa added yet more colour and flair to her look with a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood embroidered ankle booties.

An L.K. Bennett clutch and Fiya Jewellery ring accessorized her look, with golden wavy tresses, kohl-rimmed eyes and glossy lips providing the finishing touches.

I have a feeling Solange Knowles would give this mixed-printed look the thumbs up; I certainly am.
