Marie Claire’s 5th Annual ‘Fresh Faces’ Red Carpet Roundup

Marie Claire’s 5th Annual ‘Fresh Faces’ event brought out a bevy of beauties on Friday (April 27) in Los Angeles, California. They joined Storm ReidAngela Sarafyan and Yara Shahidi.

Skai Jackson: The Disney actress looked sweet in Michael Kors Collection Spring 2018. This is not the first look I would have expected from the designer with his classic, minimalist aesthetic, but think it suits her to a tee. The white and pink tie dye print and oversized T-shirt dress design are fun and feminine. The accessories also add fashion-forward appeal.

Madelaine Petsch: Opting for coordinates, the ‘Riverdale’ actress wore a head-turning Prada Spring 2018 look. Some might crave a cleaner finish, but everything is working from the stripes to the leopard spots to the graphic print in the Prada printed blouse. It presents a sophisticated rock ‘n roll sentiment.

Katherine Langford: The ‘Marie Claire’ cover girl embraced a retro romantic mood in a Markarian custom Fall 2018 dress. While the belted silhouette might be classic, the glittery pale pink fabric with red accents brought it into modern times.

Saoirse Ronan In Michael Kors Collection – ‘The Seagull’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Saoirse Ronan had an impressive awards season run, so I was excited to see her back on the red carpet for ‘The Seagull’ Tribeca Film Festival premiere on Saturday (April 21) in New York City.

Like Lily James, Saoirse was also delivering the glories of a well-tailored suit in this Michael Kors Collection design paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

I love the polished lines presented here, but also its subtle, carefree insouciance.

Some might have discounted the beige-y nude hue immediately, citing it as one that would wash out the alabaster complexion of the blonde actress. But, on the contrary, there was an underlying luminosity to it all.

‘I Feel Pretty’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Black was certainly the colour of the night at the ‘I Feel Pretty’ LA premiere on Tuesday (April 17). Lovely ladies clad in the inky shade joined Amy Schumer, Olivia Culpo and Busy Philipps.

Michelle Williams: Many probably won’t be surprised to see the actress wearing Louis Vuitton. What is surprising is the plunging neckline and lack of embellishment on the piece. Normally when she wears darker colours, there’s some whimsical detail to brighten it up. I’m missing her ethereal charm here because the belt isn’t doing enough. It feels very washed out.

Meghan Trainor: The singer put her own twist on the dark colour palette with flared trousers and a white crop top. I love her confidence in the ensemble and how she elevated the pieces to glamorous heights with her jewels and bob. The pants might be just a hair too long.

Nicole Kidman In Michael Kors Collection – 2018 ACM Awards

It may have been the Academy of Country Music Awards held on Sunday (April 15) in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the one person I was looking forward to seeing was Nicole Kidman.

Usually she brings a touch of Hollywood to the event, but I found myself deeply disappointed by this Michael Kors Collection custom look.

Despite being drenched in sequins there was just no spark from.

Factor in how the colour washes her out; this was a hard no from me.

The only thing I would save is her Fred Leighton 1960’s gold and turquoise pendant earrings and antique gold and diamond rings.

Sofia Vergara In Michael Kors Collection – ‘Rampage’ LA Premiere

Sofia Vergara joined Naomie Harris and Malin Ackerman for the LA premiere of ‘Rampage’ on Wednesday (April 4).

I have steadily grown to fall in love with Sofia’s style again.

I’ve never had a problem with her appealing to her sexier side, but I did have a strong fatigue to the predictability of it all.

At present she is playing with a variety of styles and silhouettes which serve to highlight her beauty, much like this Michael Kors Collection Spring 2018 dress does.

Imbued with a breezy spirit of the shadow palm print, the look was styled with Chloe Gosselin and Lorraine Schwartz jewels – naturally.
