Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jordana Brewster looked gorgeous in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon, where she attended the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 2012 Installation Luncheon.

Donning a floral print Max Mara dress, the ‘Dallas’ star hits on all of my favourite summer staples.

Simple, yet elegant sundress. Strappy Christian Louboutin ‘Viola’ sandals. Sherbet-hued accessories. Loose boho waves. Full marks all around.

I love how effortlessly put together this look is from head-to-toe. This is exactly what a summer luncheon ensemble should look like.

Fresh-faced makeup, an ela M.I.L.C.K. clutch and a dark pedicure are the perfect finishing touches.

The 2012 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.

Cobie Smulders: As one of my favourite breakout stars of 2012, I was happy to see Cobie back on the red carpet for this event. The actress wore a beautiful blush Max Mara dress with ruffle shoulders and a contrast waistband. The look was perfected with a champagne cut-crystal minaudiere, Swarovski jewels, pink glossy lips, Jimmy Choo ‘Trina’ sandals and a quiffed updo.

Viola Davis: Despite looking at least 20 years younger sporting her natural hair towards the end of awards season, Viola showcased a different do at this event. She wore a black strapless Max Mara dress with a satin side-bow detail. I wish she’d opted for something more summery like Cobie. A rich red lip colour, a studded clutch and black strappy Jimmy Choo ‘New Ontario’ sandals completed the look.

Christina Applegate: We had a shot of colour at this event courtesy of Christina. She stood out wearing a hot red Max Mara sleeveless dress with peplum detail. I wish her accessories, which included a Daniel Swarovski black iridescent snakeskin Fresh clutch with silver crystal stripe and black peep-toes, were as enticing as her dress. A braided updo and a red lip colour to match her dress provided the finishing touches.

Chloe Moretz attended the 2012 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday evening.

The young actress, who was honoured at the awards, wore a black satin MaxMara dress.

Ruffled sleeves and an off-the-shoulder neckline add a girly touch to the satin LBD.

Edgy lace-up gladiator heels accessorize the look, providing a stark contrast to the prim dress and matching black headband.

Now that the pink streaks in Chloe’s hair have faded, this look is completely colour-free, right down to her grey manicure.

Softly tousled hair and glowy makeup complete the look.

Alicia Sanz also attended the Rôses by Lancôme Party in Madrid, Spain yesterday evening.

The actress was ready for summer wearing a bi-colour MaxMara Spring 2012 short-sleeve playsuit with gold ring accents around the waist.

For the second night in a row, Alicia opts for a stand-out neon clutch. This time she selected an orange piece from Stella McCartney.

Her gold Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ heels are a tad heavy for the summer vibe of her outfit and I don’t like the way the top half of her playsuit drapes around the waist.

A Daniel Espinosa statement necklace and glossy straight brunette locks completed her look.

Anne Heche attended the NBC Upfront Presentation in New York City on Monday.

The actress went for a chic colour-blocked look, wearing MaxMara.

Dressed in a tailored peach blouse tucked into a floor-length cherry red skirt, Anne nails this tricky trend.

I’m not so sure about the matching cherry-red platforms that seem to be peeking out from under her skirt; they seem a tad heavy for the look.

A sleek blonde lob, smoky eyes and a red box clutch provide the finishing touches.

Nerea Garmendia continued to promote her latest movie, ‘The Cavernicola’, by taking to the red carpet for the premiere in Madrid yesterday.

The beautiful actress wore a MaxMara Spring 2012 dress on this occasion.

This is the first time we are seeing a look from this collection on the red carpet as it was mostly full of daywear, sporty and utilitarian pieces.

Her sand jersey dress with a leather skirt held together with gold accents was teamed with cream Herve Leger ankle boots and a black Roger Vivier clutch.

Once again, I’m not crazy about the footwear.

Whilst I love the style with the sexy frock, the colour doesn’t work for me.

I would’ve been more inclined to love the booties had they been a darker colour.

Yay or Nay on the footwear?
