2013 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards

The 2013 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California, where once again the majority of the celebs were decked out in Max Mara or Sportmax.

Hailee Steinfeld: The young actress was feeling very blue, wearing a Sportmax blue suede-and-leather sleeveless dress featuring a pleated skirt, which is a 100% upgrade from yesterday’s look. On this occasion, she styled her look with a blue Max Mara ‘Hollywood II’ clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Kalan’ ankle-strap peep-toes. Pops of pink via her nails, kohl-rimmed eyes, and flawless makeup completed her look. Which look do you prefer: the grey from yesterday or today’s vivid blue?

Kiernan Shipka: Hailee’s fellow teen actress, who often finds herself on best-dressed lists, wore a Max Mara black above-the-knee dress featuring perforated details etched into pretty stars. Keeping her makeup very minimal and opting for wavy tresses, the ‘Mad Men’ actress styled her look with a Christian Louboutin ‘Sweet Charity’ bag with a gold bow accent and Christian Louboutin ‘Pigaresille’ pumps.

Stana Katic: The ‘Castle’ actress has a pair of the best pins in Hollywood; however, she loves to wear pants, much like her onscreen character. Like at the Billboard Awards, Stana opted for a jumpsuit. The scarlet one-shoulder Max Mara jumpsuit was styled with a Jennifer Behr headband placed on top of her updo. I can’t say I’m crazy about the headband; I guess she was inspired by all the tiaras we saw this weekend at the royal wedding. Kohl-rimmed eyes, nude glossy lips and Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals completed her look. Are you digging the headband?

Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Awards Honouring Hailee Steinfeld

On Tuesday evening, Max Mara hosted an evening in conjunction with W Magazine to honour Hailee Steinfeld as the Women In Film’s 2013 Face of the Future award winner. The attendees either wore Max Mara or Sportmax.

Hailee Steinfeld: The woman, or should I say girl, of the hour wore a Sportmax grey cotton-and-neoprene sleeveless dress, which she styled with a black clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Myth’ black-and-yellow sandals. For an honorary guest, the dress doesn’t stand out enough for my liking. Thankfully, the accessories – a red lip colour and youthful side-swept wavy ponytail – save the look.

Jordana Brewster: While I don’t like Jordana’s accessories, when I saw her Sportmax ‘Azulene’ white-and-orange floral-print sleeveless dress my reaction was “this is more like it”. The looks stands out; it’s fresh, colourful and perfect for the current season.

Olivia Munn: The ‘Magic Mike’ actress also grabbed by attention in her Max Mara red-and-black velvet floral-printed dress featuring a black waistband, asymmetrical peplum and side slit. What it lacks in season appropriateness (who wears velvet in summer?), it makes up in vibrancy and ultra femininity. Like Jordana, the styling is way off track. The gold clutch gets a pass, but the grey Saint Laurent ‘Tribtoo’ heels get a hell no: mostly because of the colour, but I thought we had finally seen the back of these pumps.

Olivia Wilde In MaxMara - Whitney Museum Art Party

Olivia Wilde attended the Whitney Museum Art Party held at Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City on Wednesday evening.

The actress wore a Max Mara printed silk-chiffon long-sleeved green dress, which she styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Latenite’ sandals, a House of Lavande vintage necklace, Iwona Ludyga earrings and an Anya Hindmarch ‘Duchess’ clutch.

Her look was perfectly styled with standout accessories including her necklace and her structured clutch, which had a printed silk-screen image of a duchess, a shagreen front detail and a gold trim.

Both are great conversation starters at these kinds of parties.

Centre-parted wavy ombre locks, kohl-rimmed eyes and nude glossy lips put the finishing touches to her look.

Nina Dobrev In Max Mara - 2nd Annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon

Continuing her chic streak, Nina Dobrev strutted out a trendsetting statement at the second annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon on Wednesday in California, hosted by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ and Jimmy Choo.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ starlet attended the event with her stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, who also looks after Bradley Cooper, Jason Clarke, Armie Hammer, Krysten Ritter, Chris Evans, Ian Somerhalder and Joel Edgerton.

The actress was red-haute in her Max Mara one-shoulder jumpsuit. The colour was chosen in honor of Ilaria and Nina’s first outfit together—that jaw-dropping red Donna Karan gown from the 2011 Emmy Awards, which really put Nina on the fashion map.

Those Jimmy Choo ‘Biel’ wedges also had a golden moment, bringing a shot of metallic shine to this ensemble as did her Devi Kroell clutch.

This time, a red lippie didn’t come out to play. In keeping with the more casual, daytime vibe, Nina went for a lighter, nude pout and straight, side-parted locks.

Via twitter Ilaria said that she picked this red look in honour of her first look together with Nina.  This was the red Donna Karan Atelier gown which is in the RCFA Hall of Fame.

Drew Barrymore In Max Mara - BVLGARI Celebration of Elizabeth Taylor's collection of BVLGARI Jewelry

Drew Barrymore showed off her post-baby figure on the red carpet at the BVLGARI celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of BVLGARI jewelry at the BVLGARI Beverly Hills boutique in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

The actress/producer wore a Max Mara Resort 2013 jumpsuit from the brand’s Elegante collection.

I love the elegant draping on the top of her bi-colour ivory-and-black look, which is so figure flattering.

Injecting her effervescent personality into the look, she carried a Givenchy ‘Rottweiler’ clutch, which sports an eye-catching image of a ferocious canine, showcasing her rock n’ roll attitude.

Gold Stuart Weitzman ‘Naughty’ pumps and a colourful Bvlgari necklace accessorized her look, with a further injection of fieriness via her fuchsia-pink lip colour completing her sophisticated look with an edge.
