The 2015 Women In Film Max Mara Face Of The Future Event Celebrating Kate Mara

Max Mara x W Magazine Event 1

The Max Mara 2015 Women In Film Face Of The Future Event celebrated Kate Mara at the Chateau Marmont on Monday (June 15) in West Hollywood, California, where the woman of the hour and a host of additional Max Mara-clad lovelies made the rounds.

Kate Mara: Looking appropriately glorious, the actress was stunning in an impeccable, ruby-red Max Mara jumpsuit sleekly styled with complementary sandals and a black Max Mara clutch. I love the slight nod to femininity that the ruffle provides to the more structured, mannish lines of the ensemble.

Ashley Madewke: Showing us that monochromatic is far from dull, Ashley was the epitome of effortless elegance in an off-white Max Mara loose blouse paired with cropped trousers. The Max Mara bronze snake clutch in combination with metallic sandals and a bright red lip appropriately punctuated this perfectly minimalistic statement.

Jena Malone: She added her own unique flair to the tonal nude hues of this Max Mara houndstooth strapless dress and pearlescent Edie Parker clutch with the addition of a sporty denim jacket thrown over her shoulders for a casually chic finish.

‘Inside Out’ LA Premiere

'Inside Out' LA Premiere

The LA premiere for ‘Inside Out’ was held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California on Monday (June 8).

If the dress code was, wear blue and black, they all adhered to it.

Mindy Kaling: The actress showcased her midriff wearing a Max Mara shimmer knit top and high-low skirt which was a tad sombre by her standards. The look was lifted thanks to her mint-green Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps.

Amy Poehler: As always, Amy kept her look simple in a RVN sleeveless turtleneck dress which she paired with the Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

Rashida Jones: Perhaps my favourite of the bunch was Rashida Jones. Mostly for her Proenza Schouler Resort 2015 printed shorts and her accessories. The Anya Hindmarch ‘Yes/No’ clutch added a fun element, while the Proenza Schouler fringed sandals added an edge.

Knit tops? Turtlenecks? black and navy? Did no one tell these women that this is a summer premiere?

Christina Hendricks In Max Mara – Late Night With Seth Meyers

Christina Hendricks In Max Mara - Late Night With Seth Meyers

Christina Hendricks described the wrapping of Mad Men as a “long, emotional day” for the cast and crew, while making a guest appearance on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ to promote the final season on Monday (March 23) following the New York premiere.

Perhaps in homage to the sharply dressed series, the actress wore a pinstripe power suit by Max Mara in a chic double-breasted style.

I love this for the throwback style and the cool vibe. It seems that her stylist has hit a rich vein of form, as this is yet another great look for Christina, simply accessorized with Vhernier jewels and black pumps.

Last time out, I was bothered by Christina’s hair being down, but on this occasion I realized that what I am missing is the rich flame colour, as she has transitioned to strawberry blonde.

Jessica Alba In Max Mara – The Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs Impact Awards Dinner

Jessica Alba In Max Mara - The Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs Impact Awards Dinner

Jessica Alba attended The Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs Impact Awards Dinner, held at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on Tuesday (March 17) in Los Angeles, California where she gave her fresh lob its red carpet debut.

Continuing her chic showing, the actress wore a Max Mara dual-colour jumpsuit which gives the illusion of separates.

I’m particularly taken with the artful draping of the bodice along with the styling which included a pair of simple Jimmy Choo ‘Ari’ pumps and a Christian Louboutin ‘Mina’ clutch, which is always guaranteed to add an edge to any look.

Does this look have the potential to see Jessica up for BDOTW two weeks in a row?

PALEYFEST LA Red Carpet Roundup

PALEYFEST LA Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other looks taking to the red carpet during PALEYFEST LA this weekend.

Katie Cassidy: Stripes seem to be everywhere at the moment, and the ‘Arrow’ star fully embraces the trend here wearing a Cushnie et Ochs neoprene strapless dress from the Spring 2015 collection which of course features a signature cut-out. I perhaps would’ve been more excited about this look with a different style of shoe.

Sarah Paulson: The ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ star didn’t let me down in the shoe department opting for a striking red pointy Louis Vuitton pair which gave an instant lift to her A.L.C. ‘Noel’ black and white printed Pre-Fall 2015 frock. A Jennifer Fisher bracelet and Jimmy Choo ‘Ciggy’ clutch help round out a pitch perfect look.

Sofia Vergara: We all know that the ‘Modern Family’ actress has a gorgeous figure and the only man who has enhanced it further is Roland Mouret. Her body-con black ‘Swangrove’ dress with a refreshing – for her – high neckline sees her side step the norm. The look was styled with an Amanda Wakeley clutch and Charlotte Olympia ‘Octavia’ sandals.

Laura Dern In Roland Mouret & Max Mara – Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon & Hollywood Reporter’s Oscar Nominees Night Party

Laura Dern In Roland Mouret & Max Mara - Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon & Hollywood Reporter’s Oscar Nominees Night Party

Laura Dern attended both the 87th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon and The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Oscar Nominees Night Party in Beverly Hills, California, on Monday (February 2).

Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon: Serving up everything you expect from a luncheon look – colour, elegance and feminine flare – the actress wore a multicoloured Roland Mouret dress, classic in silhouette, style and design.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Oscar Nominees Night Party: She may have turned down the colour but not the elegant style for the party, selecting a black Max Mara jumpsuit with a ruffled neckline.

As much as I love bold colours, the second look for the design and styling is my preferred look.

Viola Davis In MaxMara – 2015 SAG Awards

Viola Davis attended Sunday’s (January 25) 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

The star, who was nominated for her TV series ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ look absolutely statuesque in custom MaxMara.

Viola joined the white gown trend of the night in halter design with an ever so sexy keyhole detail. I think she looks phenomenal, and love that she added a contrasting clutch in black with gilded studs.

The jewelry Viola chose added a bit of colour and texture to her all-white ensemble, with orange chandelier earrings and a statement cuff.

Amy Adams In Max Mara – 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Amy Adams In Max Mara - 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

Amy Adams attended the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

The face of Max Mara wore a custom piece from the Italian brand, donning a semi-matte ivory silk duchesse bustier dress, which she styled with sparkling Kurt Geiger London ‘Beverly’ sandals.

When it comes to awards season you can always rely on Amy, but unfortunately this look falls flat – way too flat.

For a custom piece the fit is surprisingly off and the black panel feels like a last ditch attempt to try to make this piece interesting – it failed.

The styling is bringing me out in hives and the hair feels juvenile.

We all have our off days, but it’s painful when it happens to one of the best.
