Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Diageo recently launched a global multimedia campaign for its Captain Morgan spiced rum brand.

Yesterday they named Mena Suvari as the face of the campaign at a press conference which was held at the W Hotel in Polanco, Mexico yesterday.

When I first saw this picture I did some research because I thought it might have been an old picture the agency had bumped.

This is because Mena is wearing a Matthew Williamson dress from the Spring 2008 Native American themed collection which seems like a lifetime ago now.

It’s rare that celebs go back so many seasons.

We are now so used to them wearing Resort 2012; some are even jumping the gun and wearing Spring 2012 now.

Her cool tribal print dress with bold colours and frilly details was paired with gold platform shoes.

I love the dress, but I’m obsessed with her hair.

Not many can pull-off a bowl cut, but Mena does with perfection here.

Sienna Miller supported her designer pal Matthew Williamson at his book launch party which was held at Somerset House in London yesterday.

The Brit actress hosted the event and wrote the forward for the book.

She of course wore a Matthew Williamson dress fresh from the Spring 2011 runway.

I love the electric blue dress on the runway, but I feel the dress slightly overwhelms Sienna tiny frame.

As the host I get she wanted something more dramatic and different from her usual look, but it’s not really working for me.

Does it work for you?

Blake Lively looked beautiful as always at “The Town” Boston Premiere last night wearing an Antonio Berardi crepe pencil dress from the Fall 2010 collection.

You know Blake’s my girl, so I was super excited to see her wearing one of my top 5 Fall 2010 dresses.

Her sexy chic look was paired with Elizabeth and James pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewelery.

I was really disappointed when this dress was worn by Ashley Greene in ivory a few months ago, so I’m glad Blake oozed her sassy self into this LBD.

Blake wore a lot of Berardi in her Marie Claire UK October editorial.

A lot of you said she was perfect for the designers sexy style of dresses.

I guess she agrees.

Before the premiere, Blake visited ‘Regis and Kelly’ in New York wearing a Matthew Williamson Spring 2010 ensemble.

The look included a heavily embellished cropped jacket with a blue leather pencil skirt which is back to front.

This is a clever play on textures which results in this cool chic look.

I adore this look on Blake and give her kudos for not over-complicating look with too many accessories.

Pale yellow Louboutin’s complete her look.

The countdown to Sunday nights Emmy Awards kicked off yesterday evening as Audi & Chopard hosted a party to celebrate the much anticipated first major red carpet event of Awards Season.

Jessica Lowndes attended the “Emmy Week Kick-Off Party” in LA wearing a Matthew Williamson Resort 2011 plunging dress with a pleated skirt.

Her brown and gold printed dress almost has an LV luggage type feel to it.

What I really like about this look is the orange belt which adds a nice finishing touch.

I loved her chocolate coloured Stuart Weitzman ‘Lillie’ peep-toes, but the clutch doesn’t work for me. It almost ruins this look in my eyes.

A small clutch matching her belt or heels would’ve been preferred.

Whitney Port looked very colourful on the red carpet at MTV’s “The Hills” Live: A Hollywood Ending Finale, which was held at the Roosevelt Hotel in LA last night.

When it comes to colour Whitney never lets me down.

The reality star wore a mini dress from Matthew Williamson’s Spring 2010 collection, and not Whitney Eve.

This would’ve been yet another perfect occasion to show off her designs, but she opted for yet another designer.

Her kaleidoscopic summery dress was paired with Jimmy Choo Quito snakeskin shoe boots.

I love everything about this look from her dress to her flowing blonde hair, but those heels are killing me. Stone dead.

From the ankles up, she’s gorgeous.

I’ll be switching between the World Cup and Wimbledon next week as the annual tennis championship takes place in London.

In order to celebrate the tournament, a party was held at Rooftop Gardens in London last night.

“90210″ actress Jessica Lowndes was one of the attendees.

She looked gorgeous wearing a sleeveless Matthew Williamson Fall 2010 dress.

Her azure blue dress with an interesting pleated skirt was accessorized with gold heels and a gold clutch.

She opted out of wearing the runway belt.

It would’ve been nice had she added a thin gold belt, but maybe she felt she had enough gold in her look.

Tousled waves and pink lips completed the look.
