3rd Annual InStyle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 3rd Annual InStyle Awards on Monday (October 23) in Los Angeles, California brought out numerous stylish ladies donning their most head-turning ensembles.

Angela Sarafyan: The ‘Westworld’ actress put a darker twist on a princess silhouette in a Georges Chakra Fall 2017 Couture gown. The black trim and the darker tulle layers lent an edginess to the full skirt. An Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch and Chloe Gosselin ‘Narcissus’ sandals played up the moody vibe.

Demi Lovato: Bringing a sultry elegance to a lavender Alice + Olivia Spring 2018 gown, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer toughened up the slip dress with a white studded belt and Leticia Linton ring. If I have to nitpick, I would have liked to see the dress a few inches shorter and a more formal belt.

Danai Gurira In Mary Katrantzou – ‘The Walking Dead’ 100th Episode Premiere

While Danai Gurira’s white Gabriela Hearst look is still my favourite look from her this year, I do love the actress in colour.

And it was bold colour she was serving up for ‘The Walking Dead’ 100th episode premiere and party on Sunday (October 22) in LA wearing Mary Katrantzou.

As a master of modern print, Katrantzou drew inspiration from the surreal world of Walt Disney for her Fall 2017 collection.

I love how this dreamscape Mulan print – showcasing a surreal lily pond – was accented with feathers and 3D flowers to bring this fantasy to life.

I am missing the delicate fringe layer and I prefer the below the knee length as presented on the runway, but Danai looks stunning nonetheless.

Ana de Armas In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Madrid Photocall

While co-star Sylvia Hoeks was in Rome, Ana de Armas was in Madrid on Tuesday (September 19) at the ‘Blade Runner 2049’ photocall alongside Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.

The Cuban actress donned a Mary Katrantzou Fall 2017 dress. The exaggerated shoulders, pleated peplum detail and layered look had futuristic leanings but the designer’s signature prints were a wiser alternative to the clichéd metallics.

Champagne gold Casadei pumps added a sweetness to the sharp tailoring above.

Critics might find the peplum and puffed shoulders to be dated, but the proportion of them and the juxtaposition of patterns makes them feel modern for me.

Michelle Monaghan In Mary Katrantzou – Hulu Upfront Brunch

Michelle Monaghan was at the 2017 Hulu Upfront Brunch on Wednesday (May 3) in New York City.

Finding inspiration in the whirl of intricate patterning, the actress donned a Mary Katrantzou Fall 2017 dress.

Despite the sheer elements of the design, the tapestry and velveteen textures did place this look in a very autumnal mood for me.

So, I was glad to see Michelle kept her makeup to a fresh-faced, springtime minimum to lighten the ensemble.

Annabelle Wallis In Mary Katrantzou – CinemaCon 2017

Like a breath of fresh air, Annabelle Wallis whisked into the CinemaCon 2017 fold on Wednesday (March 29) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

There was nothing I didn’t love about the electric vibrancy of her Mary Katrantzou Resort 2017 frock—from the allure of the blue lace bodice inset to the punchy chain link accent at the arm.

Of course, the radiating mash-up of scarf and tie prints in the fan-pleated skirt was the striking centerpiece.

Had we been left craving a bright splash of colour recently on the red carpet, this look certainly was the remedy. Even her red Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals successfully ventured outside the standard black or nude set.

Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

More starlets were also in attendance for the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (March 11) in LA.

Maddie Ziegler: The ‘Dance Moms’ starlet perhaps paid homage to her dancing background with the mini pom-poms on her Kate Spade New York ‘Pom Sweater.’ Her on-trend wide-leg trousers and mahogany L.K. Bennett heels showed a mature command of style despite her 14 years of age.

Noah Cyrus: Taking after sister Miley Cyrus, Noah made a style statement in her Girl Power tee paired with a velvety MSGM skirt. That was all fine and dandy, but the fuchsia sandals were lost on me as the colour made no sense at all.

Miranda Cosgrove: Miranda’s heavy black Prada heels also commanded a bit too much attention in her ensemble that featured a brightly hued Marc Jacobs dress with an Asian-inspired floral motif.
