Olivia Wilde In Mary Katrantzou - 2015 Global Citizen Festival In Central Park To End Extreme Poverty By 2030

Olivia Wilde attended the Global Citizen Festival to end extreme poverty by 2030 in Central Park on Saturday (September 26) in New York City.

Displaying her true colours in more ways than one, the actress paired the rainbow-inspired, op-art stripes of her Mary Katrantzou Resort 2016 multi-hued skirt with a festival T-shirt showing her solidarity for the cause.

What’s more, she upped the ante on urban hip-hop edge with a black leather biker jacket and sneakers, entirely making this look her own.

On paper, it shouldn’t work. But in execution, she delivers this look with a punchy hit of glorious attitude.

Lizzy Caplan In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Sleeping With Other People’ LA Premiere

Lizzy Caplan In Mary Katrantzou - 'Sleeping With Other People' LA Premiere

Lizzy Caplan joined Alison Brie at the ‘Sleeping With Other People’ Los Angeles premiere held at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California on Wednesday (September 9).

Whereas Alison flaunted her sexier side, Lizzy worked her angles in a decidedly more covered-up Mary Katrantzou Resort 2016 gown that was no less attention-grabbing, though.

With the vibrant conglomeration of colourful florals paired with bold op art stripes and geometric patterning, this look certainly saw the actress continuing to indulge her current love of prints.

With such a strong explosion of hues, she completed the ensemble on a simpler note with a black Jimmy Choo ‘Ciggy’ clutch, Bionda Castana pumps, and a pulled-back bun.

Visual delight or sensory overload?

The actress wore a Mary Katrantzou Fall 2015 layered dress that was rendered in lush baroque prints which were infused with vibrant colours.

I would’ve loved Kerry in the runway version, however, her sheath dress was event-appropriate.

Enhancing the blue tones of her dress with aqua earrings and blue eyeshadow, Kerry completed her look with Christian Louboutin ‘Altressa’ black woven pumps.

Who Wore Mary Katrantzou Better…Shailene Woodley or Natalie Dormer?

Who Wore Mary Katrantzou Better Shailene Woodley or Natalie Dormer

Shailene Woodley wore a Mary Katrantzou Pre-Fall 2015 frock while promoting ‘Insurgent’ on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ back in March, before Natalie Dormer wore the same dress earlier this month while attending the ‘Game of Thrones’ panel during Comic-Con.

I had to go with Shailene on this one because I much preferred her shoe choice.

Shortening the dress was also a good call as the original length comes across as mumsy on Natalie.

Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

amfAR Paris Red Carpet Roundup

amfar paris

There were many more celebs who joined Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the red carpet for the amfAR dinner, hosted at the Pavilion LeDoyen during Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture on Sunday (July 5) in Paris, France.

Karlie Kloss: The model went from runway to red carpet without skipping a beat, wearing the same finale look from the Atelier Versace Fall 2015 collection which she presented. A smoothless transition if I ever saw one.

Olivia Palermo: When it came to Olivia’s marigold Dior look, the word smooth was nowhere in the equation. The words crumpled, creased, needed-a-steam spring to mind. Creases aside, this is such a harsh colour for Olivia and not a flattering style.

Taylor Schilling In Mary Katrantzou & Philosophy – ‘The Overnight’ New York Premiere

Taylor Schilling In Mary Katrantzou & Philosophy - 'The Overnight' New York Premiere

Taylor Schilling attended ‘The Overnight’ New York premiere at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema on Thursday (June 18) in New York City.

The ‘Orange Is The New Black’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou Fall 2015 bustier with black Philosophy tapered trousers.

I love how this look marries finesse with a contemporary edge, as the bustier injects a cool feminine structure to this outfit.

The only thing I would ditch here is the pink Corto Moltedo clutch which attempts to derail the contemporary edge.
