Jane Fonda In Mary Katrantzou – L’Oreal Cannes Event

Jane Fonda embraced print at the L’Oreal event during the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 12), joining Aishwarya Rai.

The legendary actress struck a pose in a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2018 gown which showcased the designer’s capability of creating patterns that enhance the body.

The clever abstract design is reminiscent of a peacock with the full skirt echoing the exquisite fan of colour of the animal’s tail, creating a luxurious finish.

Sarah Flint shoes and ornate jewels elevated the glamour.

Cate Blanchett In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Cold War (Zimna Wojna)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett was back on the red carpet at the ‘Cold War (Zimna Wojna)’ Cannes Film Festival premiere on Thursday (May 10) in France.

The president of the Cannes jury was clad in custom Mary Katrantzou which showcased the designer’s mastery of pattern.

The graphic black and white print juxtaposed with the joyous explosion of colour brings to mind an artwork in progress. The design is actually inspired by painting by numbers and builds on a print from Spring 2018.

This dynamic silk faille bespoke dress is a finished work of art with its smattering of sequins and Swarovski crystals hand-placed on the gown for more wow factor.

It’s a unique approach to embellishment and was as striking as any fully beaded style.

Balloon and mullet hems can divisive, but they come together here for an ebullient finish that I think will win over many.

If you are bored with cape gowns, this will be like a breath of fresh air.

Three precious butterfly rings set in colored titanium from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie Collection and gold Aquazzura Eclipse pumps completed her look.

Queen Maxima of The Netherlands In Mary Katrantzou – Kingsday Concert

Queen Maxima of The Netherlands put on a colourful display at the Kingsday Concert on Monday (April 9) in Groningen, Netherlands.

She was clad in a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2017 ensemble which had such dynamism.

The designer has garnered a reputation for her mastery of prints and this outfit demonstrates why. The style has elevated sporty stripes into an elegant, striking dress.

This is a look that I want to see from all angles, in motion and not.

Adding more dimension, she accessorized with a forest green clutch, heels and an embellished belt.

Kerry Washington In Mary Katrantzou – 4th Hollywood Beauty Awards

Kerry Washington joined Danai Gurira for the 4th Hollywood Beauty Awards on Sunday (February 25) in Los Angeles, California.

A vision of colour and digitally manipulated prints, this Mary Katrantzou metallic-jacquard mini dress is a nostalgic wonder.

I love how the green velvet panel provides a mysterious contrast to the swan pattern work, but I’m not on board with the hairstyle with this neckline, especially considering the ornate detailing.

I would’ve preferred something much simpler.

The look was perfectly styled with green velvet pumps.

Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’ Global Junket Press Conference

After the world premiere, the stars of Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’ continued the promo tour with a global junket press conference on Tuesday (January 30) in Beverly Hills, California.

Angela Bassett: Following her glowing fringe moment, the actress switched gears with this Dent de Man Spring 2016 suit from the label named for a mountain in West Africa’s Ivory Coast. This bit of relevance, combined with what was a bold translation of traditional menswear in an all-over batik print, made for such an impactful look.

Danai Gurira: I loved Danai’s world premiere entrance, and even though this Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2018 dress was far more subtle, it was lovely for a press conference. I like the slight fit-and-flare shape as well as the tonal bustier structure to add sophisticated allure to the design.

Lupita Nyong’o: Also offering up a patterned ensemble that took a completely different direction from her regal premiere gown, Lupita looked to the signature prints of designer Mary Katrantzou. The flirty silhouette of this Spring 2018 frock, with its shorter length and kick pleats, offered a sense of youthful exuberance—although it could also be called a bit twee, too. Did you miss the belt?
