Lena Dunham In Marni & Allison Williams In Oscar de la Renta – The Today Show

Lena Dunham and Allison Williams made a guest appearance on NBC’s the ‘Today’ show yesterday morning, to promote the new season of ‘Girls’.

The co-stars appeared to have called ahead, as they both wore the colour of the moment: red.

Lena wore a Marni Fall 2012 wool crepe dress with puff sleeves which she styled with Rupert Sanderson ‘Irene’ black strappy suede sandals, recently worn several times by Jessica Chastain.

Allison’s donned an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 red sleeveless dress with a draped detail on the neckline, which was presented as a checked dress when it took to the runway recently.

Her dress is gorgeous, but her coral floral pumps are divine.

Jamie Wolf earrings and glossy wavy tresses complete her look.

Menswear Red Carpet Round Up

Here is a quick roundup of the menswear which took to the red carpet last night.

Richard Armitage: The actor may have taken a back seat to my first love Cate Blanchett; but he did look rather dashing on the red carpet attending the royal premiere of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’, at the Odeon Leicester Square in London wearing a classic Ermenegildo Zegna black shawl collar tuxedo with a dickie bow-tie.

Ewan McGregor: Joining Naomi Watts on the red carpet for ‘The Impossible’ special screening at Museum of Art and Design in New York City yesterday evening, Ewan wore a sharp pin-stripe dark suit. The suit was styled with a blue cotton poplin shirt and black-and-grey brogues from the Marni Fall 2012 collection. He sure does love those stand-out brogues.

Eddie Redmayne: Sans sexy face and sporting his signature lean-to-the-left red carpet pose, the British actor attended the Museum Of Moving Images salute to Hugh Jackman at Cipriani Wall Street on Tuesday in New York City dressed in a Thom Browne Fall 2012 black tuxedo with a bow tie. This promo tour has been great for the handsome actor. Could he be your BDMOTY (Best Dressed Man Of The Year)?

Elle Fanning In Creatures of the Wind & Marni – The Variety Studio: Awards Edition Event

You all pretty much hated Elle Fanning’s last red carpet look, so hopefully she managed to redeem herself when she attended The Variety Studio: Awards Edition event, held at a private residence in LA on Wednesday.

The young actress wore a simple Fall look, donning a burgundy Marni sweater from the Fall 2012 collection with a black A-line Creatures of the Wind skirt with a high waist and dainty bow accent from the Spring 2013 collection.

Keeping the styling super simple, the actress opted for Marni ankle-strap black wedges to complete her look.

Rashida Jones In Boy. by Band of Outsiders, Giorgio Armani & Marni – 2012 GQ Men of the Year Party

Rashida Jones also attended the 2012 GQ Men of the Year party at Chateau Marmont in LA on Tuesday evening.

The actress was one of the few who didn’t opt for a dress.

She donned her favourite red carpet piece: a black leather lapel blazer from Boy. by Band of Outsiders, with Giorgio Armani black satin shorts and a Marni Resort 2013 white blouse with a studded and crystal-embellished placket.

She added a pop of colour via her red satin Christian Louboutin clutch, with the rest of her accessories including a fabulous pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Decollete’ leopard-print pumps plus Dana Rebecca Designs and Crow’s Nest jewels.

Wavy locks and a red lip colour to rival her clutch completed her look.

Nieves Alvarez In Marni, MSGM & Angel Schlesser – Solo Moda

Sporting a side-swept ponytail, Nieves Alvarez gave us three more looks for her fourteenth Solo Moda show, which aired in Spain on Sunday.

A long-sleeve printed Marni frock with a high neckline and contrasting waistband with a jewel accent was styled with nude Jimmy Choo sandals and a Pandora ring.

Nieves’ second look was more interesting and playful, as she teamed an MSGM chevron-printed blouse with a ultra-short mini skirt, both of which are from the Fall 2012 collection.

The look is amped up with an awesome pair of Manolo Blahnik peep-toe ankle boots with stunning Pandora earrings which were perfectly colour-coordinated to her blouse, rose-gold Pandora arm-candy and an Alexis Bittar oversized cocktail ring.

For Nieves’ final look, the mood became more sultry with her wearing an Angel Schlesser Fall 2012 dress with a silver-embellished top and black silk drop-waist skirt.

Always one to find the perfect heels to complement her look, she donned D&G two-tone sandals with Alexis Bittar jewels providing the finishing touches.

Maria Jose Suarez In Marni – Pre-Dinner For The Global Gift Gala

Maria Jose Suarez attended the pre-dinner at Acqua for the Global Gift Gala in Marbella, Spain, this week.

The actress went from high-octane glamour to chic separates wearing a Marni Pre-Fall 2012 look.

Her geometric print crepe top with a contrasting neckline was styled with black Marni tapered pants.

Keeping her gold Swarovski clutch from the previous event, she added blood-red Casadei pumps and Pandora jewels.

I love the colour of Maria’s pumps; they are perfectly co-ordinated to this look. I just wish they didn’t feel so heavy with that triple-stacked platform.
