Zendaya Coleman In Ralph Lauren, Marni & Chloe – Out In New York City

Both Saturday (December 9) and Monday (December 11) saw another string of New York City appearances from Zendaya Coleman, who has been busy promoting ‘The Greatest Showman’—and showing off her continued chic streak.

Empire State Building: On Saturday, she was atop the Empire State Building—and at the top of her style game, too, with this Ralph Lauren tuxedo coat worn over a Martin Grant Spring 2018 skirt that I loved for its bright, emerald hue that radiated with its jewel-toned mood. The styling was perfection, too, with her sleek bun and statement earrings—with the snow adding a cinematic touch.

Out in New York:
Her glamour waves returned with this Marni Marni Pre-Fall 2017 coat that may have fallen on deaf ears if it were not for the snappy, exploded houdstooth collar. Casadei ‘Techno Blade’ boots added another layer of sharp edginess to the dynamic look.

Out In New York: We all know Zendaya doesn’t hide from the retro vibes, and they were strong here in this Chloe Spring 2018 ensemble that was playfully fun and funky—especially when topped off with the geometric booties.

I was in love with the seasonal sophistication of the first and second look. Which one caught your eye?

Cate Blanchett In Marni & Louis Vuitton – IWC For The Love Of Cinema At DIFF

Cate Blanchett attended the jury meeting of the sixth IWC Filmmaker Award during the 7th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) on Thursday (December 7) in United Arab Emirates.

This Marni Pre-Fall 2017 look isn’t quite the tornado extravaganza of prints and colours we’re used to seeing from the Italian brand, yet there’s enough of a strong contrast which I find intriguing.

Who knew spots and houndstooth would work in perfect harmony like this?

Rita Ora In Marni – BBC Radio 1

Rita Ora made quite a colourful statement when making her way to the BBC Radio 1 studios in London today (October 20), to promote her new single ‘Anywhere’, which she shot in New York two weeks ago.

Looking like she just stepped off the set from ‘That 70s Show’, the singer turned heads wearing a Marni Fall 2017 nylon knit top, checked trousers, alpaca coat and calf leather sandals.

There is a lot of colours, patterns and textures to contend with here, but I feel like this pulls this off with great aplomb; after all this isn’t her first flirtation with 70s style.

Hit or miss?

Kate Hudson In Marni, David Koma & Johanna Ortiz – Out In New York City

Kate Hudson’s new buzz cut for her role in Sia’s upcoming film ‘Sister’ has been getting attention, but her recent outings in New York City have captivated me for their mix of layering and striking colours.

On Friday (September 22) in Manhattan, the actress donned a beautiful Marni Pre-Fall 2017 red wool coat. Given the balmy temperatures in NYC of late, Kate wisely opted to drape the jacket over her shoulders. The artful styling also allowed the David Koma Resort 2018 cut out jumpsuit to be appreciated with its contrasting stitching and ab reveal.

There was plenty at play with the coat’s striped lining, the leopard Claire V. bag, Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Betty’ sandals and oversized drop earrings, but it didn’t feel overdone.

For her second ensemble, Kate went for statement stripes while out in Tribeca on Saturday (September 23). The Johanna Ortiz Resort 2018 outfit echoed yesterday’s styling with its long coat, fitted top and flared pants, but the Michael Kors Collection slate Bancroft large snakeskin satchel and translucent sunglasses brought it down for daytime.

Jess Weixler In Marni & Roland Mouret – ‘Who We Are Now’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere & HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party

Jess Weixler attended the premiere of ‘Who We Are Now’ on Saturday (September 9) during the 2017 Toronto Film Festival before heading to the HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party where Emma Roberts was also in attendance.

‘Who We Are Now’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere: While swirling, abstract print of this Marni Spring 2017 dress was intriguing, the standard-issue black pumps kept the look more on an ordinary level.

HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party: Here, the precise tailoring signature to designer Roland Mouret was captured in the sharp lines of this Spring 2017 jacket intriguingly juxtaposed with the flowy movement of the scarf skirt. Yet again, I believe she missed an opportunity to elevate the look with her footwear, sticking to that more uninspiring black pumps.

Lily James In Marni – ‘Baby Driver’ Premiere After Party

Following the premiere Lily James attended after party for ‘Baby Driver’ on Wednesday (June 21) in London.

I love the relaxed feel of this Marni Spring 2017 dress. The asymmetric hem and cuffed sleeves are providing plenty of movement, but could the silhouette have been more flattering?

The almost Grecian draping of the fabric is particularly appealing and works well with the actress’s strappy black sandals.

If I could change one thing, I would have liked to have seen a bolder, tasselled pair of earrings to amp up the party vibe.

Models @ The 2017 Met Gala

The models had their moment at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City. Here, a look at how they made the night’s blue carpet their catwalk.

Bella Hadid: We’ve heard of the naked dress, but Bella had the naked jumpsuit of the evening in this sheer mesh Alexander Wang number that left precious little to the imagination.

Gigi Hadid: Her sister may have opted for the naked look, but Gigi just went plain nude in this sweeping Tommy Hilfiger gown—her version of a princess dress—that combined architectural tailoring with romantic femininity. To add an edge, Wolford fishnets did the trick for her leg jut that was likewise accessorised by Christian Louboutin heels.
