Nicola Roberts In Markus Lupfer – Naomi Sheldon’s ‘Good Girl’ Photocall

Nicola Roberts attended a photocall for Naomi Sheldon’s award-winning debut play ‘Good Girl’ held at Trafalgar Studios on Tuesday (March 6) in London.

The singer wore a Markus Lupfer top and skirt from the Pre-Fall 2018 collection.

I love the slinky, sultriness of the devoré velvet fabric and how the floral print ensured a sophisticated finish, but I wish she had elevated the look further with some strappy heels or sleek pumps.

While slouchy boots are very much en vogue, they are far too heavy for this look.

Laura Carmichael In Markus Lupfer – Autograph Collection Hotels Short Film Award

Laura Carmichael stepped out at the inaugural Autograph Collection Hotels Short Film Award on Thursday (February 15) in London, England.

The former ‘Downton Abbey’ star was clad in a Markus Lupfer Resort 2018 dress.

The style has plenty of interest between the striped panels and the printed base so I can understand why she opted for a more restrained approach when it came to accessorizing.

The Kooples ‘Emily’ bag and black ankle-strap shoes play up the vintage, almost flapper-like quality of the piece without taking away from the details.

It has a feminine polish that’s very much in her wheelhouse, but part of me wishes she would have added at least one accessory from the lookbook to recapture some of the joy.

Madonna In Saint Laurent & Markus Lupfer – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Madonna was the lead guest on Monday’s ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ where she promoted her new live album, and her MDNA Skin launch.

Making a grand entrance – in unique Madonna fashion – the iconic singer was decked out in a Saint Laurent Fall 2017 blazer which is not only feels opulent due to the crystals, but also fits her rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic.

My favourite part of this look is her Markus Lupfer ‘Lips’ t-shirt, as the signature motif is clearly a tongue and cheek poke at her famous gap-teeth.

Partnered with Mother ‘The Super Stunner Ankle Fray’ jeans, The Kooples studded belt and shades, I love how the Judith Leiber Couture ‘Katerina’ crystal skull bag almost acts like her sceptre.

She is the Queen of Pop after all.

Gemma Arterton In Markus Lupfer – ‘The Escape’ Toronto Film Festival

Gemma Arterton brought some menswear inspiration to the Toronto Film Festival, where she attended ‘The Escape’ premiere on Tuesday (September 12).

She dressed up a black V-neck with a gray Markus Lupfer Resort 2018 blazer and shorts and Jimmy Choo pumps.

I’m enamoured with the way Gemma opted for a relaxed take on suiting, but I find myself missing some of the lighter frivolity of the printed blouse and drop earrings. Do you agree?

Ruth Wilson In Markus Lupfer & Johanna Ortiz – HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration & ‘Dark River’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Ruth Wilson was one of the many lovely ladies who graced the Toronto Film Festival, first attending the HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration on Saturday (September 9) then the ‘Dark River’ premiere on Sunday (September 10).

HFPA And InStyle’s TIFF Celebration: Dressed in Markus Lupfer Pre-Fall 2017, the actress’s teal bra was visible under a gossamer-thin white tank top. The sheer top was juxtaposed by the high-shine red skirt and leopard print shoes. The tank top felt too casual for the event and the teal lingerie felt out of place, or like a missed opportunity.

‘Dark River’ Premiere: Ruth brought out her party skirt for the premiere by donning head-to-toe Johanna Ortiz Resort 2018. The striped T-shirt layered over the blouse with billowing sleeves tempered the foiled metallic ruffles of the skirt. The entire look was literally wrapped up with the oversized black bow fashioned around her waist. There are many juxtaposing elements, but I wish Ruth had experimented with something as impactful in her previous look.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Markus Lupfer & Emilia Wickstead – Royal Germany Visit Day 2 & 3

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge continued making the rounds—and the wardrobe changes—during Day 2 of her royal visit to Germany on Wednesday (July 20).

Claerchens Ballhaus’ Reception: With her Prada scalloped sandals fast becoming a new favourite for the Duchess, she paired them with a Markus Lupfer Pre-Fall 2017 dress that likewise provided a less structured, more laid-back silhouette. I love her step towards elegant edginess in this artsy print, with a metal belt rounding it out.

Maritime Museum: We will be more familiar with this style of look from Catherine, in which she relied on one of her go-to designers, Emilia Wickstead, for this bespoke frock. The ladylike profile of the structured dress and swing skirt will always be an impeccable look for her—no matter how many times we see it. She did explore a new, exuberant palette in this bright lavender shade partnered with a contrasting red clutch.
