Red Carpet Fashion Awards

On Saturday I couldn’t help but be disappointed watching Cheryl Cole walked onto the X Factor stage.

After her bold David Koma statement dress, her Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 sheath dress was tame in comparison.

I can only believe that the criticism of last weeks choice got to her.

Her JPG dress was instantly recognisable by the X on the bodice, which was featured on many pieces in the Fall 2009 collection.

Her dress appeared to be modified slightly from the runway, as her dress was embellished with black crystals to allow the dress to sparkle on screen.

She paired her dress with black platforms.

The dress was just OK, but the hairstyle felt very dated.

She should’ve pulled it back to show off the X and details on her dress.

I loved Cheryl’s burst of colour on Sunday nights show.

The judge wore a Marios Schwab shift dress with crystal-embellishments in an opening in the bodice from the Fall 2009 collection.

She interesting paired her dress with nude heels.

Again I had a problem with the hair.  On Saturday night it felt to dated, whereas her hair on Sunday nights show looked like the stylist got his inspiration from a local school playground.

You may remember that Sienna Miller wore a watered down and nearly unrecognisable version of this dress earlier this year.

Ginnifer Goodwin has never played by the ‘How to Style’ book.

She usually wears little known designers to ensure she keeps her individuality, but on this occasion she wore this grey lace dress from Chanel’s Resort 2010 collection.

The dress has an usual train at the front of the dress pinned with a silver brooch.

On most this would have been a disaster, but on Ginnifer without the turtleneck it some how works.

Leighton Meester is not afraid to venture away from Blair Waldorf’s headbands and cardigans.

We’ve seen her take risks wearing Christopher Kane, and now she dons a striking abstract print Marios Schwab Fall 2009 mini dress.

I love her wild adventurous side.

Here we have another fabulous Elie Saab Fall 2009 embellished LBD.

Sophie looked fabulous in hers, whereas Paula Patton looks very restricted.

Co-founder of fashion label Kova & T, editor-in-chief of Pop magazine – the first issue will be released in September – and fashion darling Dasha Zhukova has to be one of my Top 10 favourite fashionistas.

I haven’t blogged about her in a while but I was in awe of her two stunning looks from last week.

My favourite was Dasha’s multi-coloured Marios Schwab Fall 2009 dress with a 3D optical crystal-print. She totally made the dress her own by modifying it from the runway version to make it a one-shoulder dress.

She wore her stunning dress with a Pauric Sweeney clutch and Jimmy Choo Glenys python sandals.

Dasha attended the Tesla Launch Party recently wearing what I believe is a Chloé single breasted blazer, Sonny Crockett style, with a white tank, denim shorts, snakeskin heels, a gold clutch and a gold bracelet.

I  love this effortlessly sexy casual look.  I’m definitely going to recreate this look.

Can’t wait to see more from her.

Bryce Dallas Howard was one of those people you see on the red carpet, but didn’t pay much attention to.

That dramatically changed at the premiere of Terminator Salvation last night.

The red hair actress sure did make an impact, wearing a futuristic Marios Schwab Fall 2009 mini dress.

The slant neck dress, looks like it has beams of multi-coloured lights clashing over her dress. The dress also has a tulle overlay which is covered in clear sequins.

The look was completed with a matching beaded clutch, and Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

The Loubie’s kinda let the look down, but this is a brave choice, and I really like it.

Actress Moon Bloodgood also sparkled in her strapless Reem Acra Couture gown.

I love the details such as the sequins, the red belt, but the sheer pieces of the skirt, expose what’s underneath, and they look like spanx.

The one thing I really admire about Sienna Miller and Thandie Newton, is that they both support designers who present their collections in London.

Despite Sienna’s being wildly known for her bohemian look, I always saw her as a bit of a dare devil style wise. So I was surprised she didn’t wear this outstanding Marios Schwab Fall 2009 LRD, as it was presented on the runway, with the embellished double-layered openings.

Sienna wore a softer, less edgy version to The Mysteries of Pittsburgh New York screening last night, matching her bright red shift dress with red lipstick, tights and Roger Vivier black peep-toes.

I know you’re tired of me questioning tights with everything, so I won’t got there, as this another great look for Sienna. I make that 2 for 2.
