Marios Schwab Fall 2011

Marios Schwab was the other British designer showing his Fall 2011 collection during Mercedes-Benz Russia Fashion Week in Moscow yesterday, in association with Rainbowwave showroom and the British Fashion Council.

After missing this show in London due to jet lag, I was excited I had a second chance to enjoy this beautifully structured collection.

I marveled at the fabulous cuts and the lady-like nipped in waist on the wool and leather looks which had soften from the Spring 2011 collection despite the harness details.

High-waisted pants, bubble shaped puffer jackets, silk blouses and a gorgeous flowing stone coloured maxi dress were some of the highlights.

Swarovski pearls were the key detail through-out this collection which brought texture to this smooth, elegant collection.

These looks will be go down well with celebrity fan Kylie Minogue, but I would also like to see others like Freida Pinto, Carey Mulligan, Reese Witherspoon, Leighton Meester, Sarah Jessica Parker, Heidi Klum and Zoe Saldana wear this collection too.

Kylie Minogue In David Koma & Marios Schwab – “Aphrodite” Mexico Album Promotion

Kylie Minogue is currently in Mexico to promote her new album “Aphrodite”.

The album which includes the Spanish version of “All The Lovers” was presented to the press at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City.

Kylie looked gorgeous wearing a David Koma LBD from the Spring 2011 collection.

The last time we saw Kylie wearing a David Koma dress she wore an elaborate zig-zag zipper dress, but this time her LBD was less flamboyant.

It was very sexy with a revealing sheer panel and leather waistband, yet cute with A line mini skirt.

For some reason I’m not liking Kylie’s Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly leopard print pumps, and I think that’s because they look like novelty slippers in this picture.

Kylie Minogue was spotted signing autographs for fans outside Four Seasons Hotel.

She wore yet another Spring 2011 look. This time it was by Marios Schwab.

Her blue dress with lace panels and a lace trim on the hem is nice enough, but it looks a tad too tight on the bust.

YSL pumps complete the look.

Marios Schwab Spring 2011

Marios Schwab’s Spring 2011 started with the sound of bikes revving before Nirvana “Smells like teen spirit” starting playing.

From the camisole dresses, to the choppy wigs and chunky Ergun Dundar ankle boots it smells more like Courtney Love.

The collection had a soft romantic side against a structured utilitarian spirit.

The romance came from the fluid silks and lace trims with the harder edge coming from the leather harnesses and tattooed images of snakes and symbols.

Apart from the dresses we saw tattooed leggings, fitted shift dresses and leather pants.

Favourites: tan leather dress and sleeveless dress with tattoo print top

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Courtney Love, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Jessica Alba and Rihanna

2010 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner – Jessica Alba In Marios Schwab

Jessica Alba was one of my favourites to walk the red carpet at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington DC last night.

The “Valentine’s Day” actress looked very sophisticated wearing a Marios Schwab Fall 2010 dress.

As well as a central split her black column dress had interesting details which included a peplum on the hips to help emphasis her waistline, and half-circle Swarovski stones embedded in the neckline.

With her hair pulled back the actress added a gold braclet and a matching Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch to complete her look.

Runway To 12th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards – Anna Paquin In Marios Schwab

Were Anna Kendrick and Anna Paquin really at the same event?

Because you could get to more different look at the 12th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.

Anna arrived in a stunning Elie Saab gown, whereas Anna arrived wearing an futuristic Marios Schwab Fall 2009 mini dress.

Anna seems to be the current red carpet bad girl who’s going against the grain.

At the SAG Awards you’ll remember she wore an reptile print Alexander McQueen mini dress which many of you didn’t think was event appropriately, well oops she’s done it again.

I love this look mostly because she tried something different and I just love that print.

The icing on the cake would’ve been if she’d tied her hair back in a tight pony and lost the necklace.
