Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Following her spine-tingling Whitney Houston tribute at last weekend’s Grammy Awards, Jennifer Hudson performed ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ with Ne-Yo at the 2012 NAACP Image Awards on Friday.

She also joined Ne-Yo to present the Vanguard Award to ‘Star Wars’ director George Lucas wearing a Maria Lucia Hohan gown.

The beautiful baby-blue silk gown dress features a draped bust and a twisted chiffon detail on the waistline.

Normally I would find a necklace of this size bothersome with this neckline, but I love it on this occasion.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle and a beautiful pink lip colour completed her look.

Jenna Dewan wore a similar gown to the Golden Globe Awards.

Maria Lucia Hohan continues to be a hit with celebrities, as she dressed her third celebrity in seven days when Emmanuelle Chriqui hit the red carpet to attend the 2012 NFL Honors in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday night.

The ‘Entourage’ star opted for a cool emerald-green jumpsuit, which is a change from the chiffon gowns we have mostly seen so far from the Romanian designer.

Her look could easily be confused with being a dress, as it has a draped portion across the front.

Wavy locks, Amrapali earrings and a snake bangle completed her look.

Vanessa Hudgens brightened up the tropical jungle that was the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA last night for the West Coast premiere of her latest movie, ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’.

She was very much the belle of the ball wearing a canary-yellow Maria Lucia Hohan gown which looked glorious against her olive complexion.

The strapless silk mousseline gown is one of her best red carpet looks to date and most definitely a BDOTW contender.

Soft curls, oversized gold statement earrings, a stack of gold bracelets, a diamond encrusted ring and a black clutch with gold hardware including a tiger-head clasp for an added jungle-esque touch completed her look.

Very often I find Katherine Heigl’s red carpet looks to be quite blah, but that wasn’t the case as she attended the Paris premiere of her latest movie, ‘One For The Money’, on Tuesday.

She looked gorgeous wearing a soft lavender Maria Lucia Hohan silk mousseline gown with a ruched, woven detailed bodice and a revealing neckline.

Her floaty gown, which also has an open back, was paired with stunning Sutra diamond pear-shaped earrings and statement rings.

A side-parted updo with a wavy curl and flawless makeup completed her look.

Is this BDOTW worthy?

Emma Roberts attended the 2011 CNN Heroes: All-Star Tribute, which was held on Sunday in LA.

The actress wore a Maria Lucia Hohan black-and-nude silk mousseline ballerina dress with lace detailing and a full skirt.

Celebs seem to love the Romanian designer’s flirty dresses and Grecian gowns.

Emma’s falls into the flirty category as her dress has a sweetheart neckline and an open back.

Black accessories including leather Casadei pumps and a satin Kotur clutch complemented her dress whilst her earrings added a touch of sparkle.

Wavy curls and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.
