2017 Art of Elysium HEAVEN Gala

The Art of Elysium celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala themed Stevie Wonder’s HEAVEN, hosted at Red Studios on January 7, 2017 in Los Angeles, California, where a wonderland of looks took to the red carpet.

Camilla Belle: As the evening’s honoree, Camilla Belle took my breath away in her Schiaparelli Fall 2016 Couture gown that had the fanciful whimsy of a skirt embroidered with colourful creatures and the sharp elegance of an architectural bodice. Her sculptural top knot was the perfect finish.

Hailey Baldwin: The starlet definitely turned heads as she left no feather unturned in her extravagant orange Jonathan Simkhai Resort 2017 cutout creation paired with matching sandals, no less.

The Paley Center For Media’s Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television

The Paley Center For Media's Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television

The Paley Center For Media’s Tribute To African-American Achievements In Television was held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 26) in Beverly Hills, California.

Yaya DaCosta: The actress/model was a vision in yellow, but sadly my smile was turned upside down upon sight of the illusion panel on her Maria Lucia Hohan gown.

Brandy Norwood: The singer/actress wore an Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2015 dress which I love for the floral print and embroidered details and the obi-style belt. The look was styled with pointy blue Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and a Swarovski ‘Kiosque’ clutch.

Tyra Banks: She can smize, but she can’t dress to save her life. Unflattering and dated as per.

Bella Thorne In Maria Lucia Hohan – 2015 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Bella Thorne In Maria Lucia Hohan - 2015 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Bella Thorne attended the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (August 30) in Los Angeles, California.

The teen star wore a Maria Lucia Hohan densely pleated silk-tulle bustier-style dress, made all the more sensual with cut outs and a thigh high slit.

While the super thin gold shoulder straps have me worrying about her support, I have so say this dress was worthy of the event, but I just wish her hair lived up to the glamour of the look.

Phillips House jewels and platinum Stuart Weitzman ‘Legwrap’ sandals provided the finishing touches.

Emily Ratajkowski In Maria Lucia Hohan – ‘We Are Your Friends’ LA Premiere

Emily Ratajkowski In Maria Lucia Hohan - 'We Are Your Friends' LA Premiere

Emily Ratajkowski attended the LA premiere of ‘We Are Your Friends’ at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (August 20) in Hollywood, California.

After a succession of looks which saw her leap outside her comfort-zone, one can’t begrudge the actress for going super glam and showcasing the twins at the LA premiere.

While perhaps only Blake Lively and I won’t mind that Emily didn’t follow the legs or boobs rule, you have to admire this Maria Lucia Hohan gown which showcases the designers mastery in Grecian draping.

Feather-light and densely pleated, swathes of silk-tulle wrap beautifully around her body, while she does little to upset the balance by adding just Jimmy Choo sandals to the look.

2nd Annual Unite4:humanity Event Red Carpet Roundup

2nd Annual Unite4humanity Event Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2nd Annual unite4:humanity Event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (February 19) in Los Angeles, California.

Beth Behrs: I’m loving everything about Beth’s SAFiYAA suiting look, especially the black and blue printed jacquard blazer. I would’ve preferred cigarette or cropped trousers, but this wide-leg pair give the look a cool vibe strengthened by the kohl-rimmed eyes and sexy bed-hair. Pointy silver pumps and a Thalé Blanc clutch accessorized her look,

Sarah Hyland: You’ll be surprised to learn that this striped strapless dress is by Maria Lucia Hohan. Yes, she’s finally serving up something new, which is perfectly showcased by the ‘Modern Family’ actress. Sweetly alluring, the bodice is very much the focal point, imbuing head-turning charisma in this elegant retro design.

Amy Poehler: Sticking to safe black, this Tadashi Shoji look serves her well. Both the pattern design and leather belt steer this look on the side of ladylike elegance. I can’t remember the last time I liked an Amy look as much as this.
