Roselyn Sanchez In Maria Lucia Hohan & Paula Patton In Helmut Lang – 9th Annual AAFCA Awards

Roselyn Sanchez and Paula Patton put on a coordinated display at the 9th Annual AAFCA Awards on Wednesday (February 7) in Los Angeles, California.

Roselyn Sanchez: The Puerto Rican singer-actress brought bohemian elegance with her Maria Lucia Hohan gown and Gilan emerald tassel earrings. I’m sure the sheer skirt will be an issue for some, but it ties in the details on the bodice. And without the lace, it would have just been a plain strapless dress.

Paula Patton: Contrasting the femininity of the gown, the actress donned a Helmut Lang suit. The piece on its own is sharp yet sensual from the crisp tailoring and high hemline, but I’m afraid it’s suffering from too many competing elements. The statement earrings fight with the shirt and tie. Plus, the ruffled socks and Gianvito Rossi shoes make it feel almost like a performance piece. Simplicity would have been best.

Nabiyah Be In Maria Lucia Hohan – ‘Black Panther’ World Premiere

Nabiyah Be, who stars in Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’, joined her co-stars Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira for world premiere on Monday (January 29) in Hollywood, California.

This metallic pleated gown will need no introduction, as it’s not only a familiar design by Maria Lucia Hohan, but it’s also the same gown Kate Hudson wore to the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Nabiyah shimmering frock was styled was styled with Alexandre Birman sandals, a Maasi-style choker from Tawapa and Jen Hansen earrings.

2018 NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more beauties—and bold looks—in the mix at the 2018 NAACP Image Awards on Monday (January 15) in Pasadena, California.

Logan Browning: The actress channeled her softer side in a Maria Lucia Hohan ballet-pink gown with lace accents. I like the feminine, romantic quality of the design, but also the modern edge she brought to it with metallic accents including the belt and spherical clutch.

Marsai Martin: High-low gowns are nothing new, but this Pantora Mini design was rendered in such a vibrant shade of emerald green that it made a statement with the fun and frills appropriate for the young ‘Black-ish’ starlet.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The red carpet was alight with stylish stars at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards on Thursday (November 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Kristen Bell: It may be autumn, but the actress kept the spring spirit alive in a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 dress. The yellow and blue blooms had an ebullient mood which was enhanced with Jennifer Meyer jewels and white heels.

Andrew Garfield: Cutting a dapper figure, the ‘Breathe’ actor broke away from coordinates, pairing a brown and navy check jacket with slim navy trousers. A dark blue sweater completed the ensemble, presenting a modern alternative to a suit and tie.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ actress’s love of fashion is apparent in many of her outfits, including this vintage Pierre Balmain dress from Shrimpton Couture. She committed to the glamorous retro theme with red Christian Louboutin pumps and a Les Petits Joueurs bag.

Kelsea Ballerini In Michael Kors Collection & Maria Lucia Hohan – 2017 CMA Awards

Kelsea Ballerini joined Michelle Monaghan, Ruby Rose and Brittany Snow at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee.

There were lots of princess moments at the country awards show, but this one stood out to me for its unique silhouette. The ‘Unapologetically’ singer was clad in a custom Michael Kors Collection gown. The design merged prim and sultry elements thanks to the long sleeves and golden embellishment juxtaposed against the V-neckline and ab cut-out.

Her sculpted waves and a gold hair clip played upon the whimsical charm of the dress.

End Of The Week Red Carpet Roundup

There were so many looks this week, that we’re going to cram them into this final post.

Josephine De La Baume: Attending the ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ world premiere, the French actress opted to infuse her red carpet style with high-voltage seduction courtesy of this Self-Portrait devore mini dress from the Fall 2017 collection. I’m not usually a big fan of platform shoes, but I find myself buying what she’s selling as these Miu Miu Mary Janes add a playful vibe.

Martha Hunt: I love the fashion forward feel of this Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh black cropped blazer and sequin dress from the Fall 2017 collection with simple black pumps. Worn to the World of Children Awards, this was a truly intriguing look I have to say.

Ajak Deng: This saffron yellow Roksanda ‘Tamiko’ jumpsuit from the Fall 2017 collection gave me so much joy at the ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ world premiere. I love the relaxed nature of it all with the chunky heels adding a utilitarian flavour.

Angel Ball 2017

The Angel Ball 2017, which fundraises for the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for cancer research, happened on Monday (October 23) in New York City bringing out numerous celebrities dressed to the nines.

La La Anthony: The multi-hyphenate wore a Rani Zakhem Spring 2017 Couture gown with gold embellishment that gave the black base a night sky effect. The earrings enhanced the glistening fabric, but I would have preferred it without the belt.

Karolina Kurkova:
The model oozed sophistication in a black column gown. It might not have spoken as loudly as other ensembles, but the Chopard jewels and a joyful yellow clutch helped make it a memorable look.

Maria Menounos:
Recalling disco heydays the journalist and host dazzled in a Maria Lucia Hohan gown. Not bothered with boobs or legs, the dress had a down-to-there neckline and thigh-high slit. Maria’s soft makeup and topknot helped put a modern spin on the rose gold pleated gown.
