Camila Alves In Marchesa – ‘Gold’ New York Premiere

Camila Alves attended the world premiere of ‘Gold’ at AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theatre on Tuesday (January 17) in New York City.

King Midas himself would have been bowing at the feet of queen Camila with her extravagant gold lace gown by Marchesa.

She certainly took the theme of the film to heart with this grand, golden entrance.

Was it over the top and indulgently decadent? Some might say yes, but one can’t deny the sheer artistry of the gown.

Magpies everywhere will also be craving the sparkly baubles that adorned the look—from her statement earrings to the starburst bib necklace.

2016 National Board of Review

The National Board of Review Gala was hosted on January 4, 2017 in New York City and attended by a namedrop-worthy guest list.

Maggie Gyllenhaal: Graphic playfulness and an asymmetrical silhouette kept the actress’s Marni Resort 2017 dress fresh, but I would have loved to see a thin belt to provide some waist contouring.

Naomie Harris: Taking the plunge, Naomie nixed a dress in favour of a Brandon Maxwell Spring 2017 wide-leg jumpsuit that moved beautifully when she walked.

Amy Adams: Lovely in lace, the actress wore a Marchesa Pre-Fall 2017 embroidered dress that ultimately left me with the urge to cut off the bell sleeves while also securing a more nude underlining for the bodice.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum In Marchesa – ‘The Hateful Eight’ LA Premiere

Jenna Dewan-Tatum In Marchesa - 'The Hateful Eight' LA Premiere

Jenna Dewan-Tatum attended the world premiere of ‘The Hateful Eight’ held at ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome on Monday (December 7) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Marchesa Spring 2016 sheer tulle and lace gown accented with black bugle beads to heighten the dramatic nature of this piece.

As someone who lauds over Jenna’s style I really wanted to love this look, but I failed.

Had it been all black like Julianne Hough’s gown from the same collection I could’ve got on board with this, but I’m put off by the nakedness of this nude hue.

Teyonah Parris In Marchesa – ‘CHI-RAQ’ New York Premiere

Teyonah Parris In Marchesa - 'CHI-RAQ' New York Premiere

Teyonah Parris attended the ‘CHI-RAQ’remiere on Tuesday (December 1) in New York City.

The actress has never met a billowing ballgown or up-and-coming designer she didn’t love, but on this occasion the look was streamline and mainstream.

As I said before Teyonah always delights on the red carpet; and this Marchesa crystal and threadwork embroidered ombre styled with a silver clutch and Marchesa ‘Clara’ shoes was no exception.

Those who are familiar with Teyonah’s style won’t be surprised that this piece was imbued with a twirl feature which came curtsey of the black draped fringe cape.

This look would’ve been perfect for me had she worn a flesh-coloured undergarments.

Gwen Stefani In Marchesa – The Voice

Gwen Stefani In Marchesa - The Voice

Gwen Stefani was on double duty on ‘The Voice’, as the judge gave an emotional performance of her hit song, ‘Used to Love You’ (inspired by you know who).

Aside from the being perched atop a platform surrounded by fog and floral trees, the performance was made even more dramatic with her Marchesa Spring 2016 Grecian tulle gown with an over-the-shoulder cape detail and feather motif drape.

Some might say this was too bridal or that she looks washed out (I would blame the picture for that) but the video below shows how haunting beautiful this look really was.

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 14) in Culver City, California.

Jenna Dewan Tatum: As always, Jenna was head and shoulders above the rest looking elegant wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 spring-green strapless embroidered tulip dress with white degradé flowers. The styling – yes even the white shoes – made me swoon.

Reese Witherspoon: Sadly this is all wrong for Reese. Words I thought I would never say in reference to a Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 Couture piece. I guess this explains why she usually sticks to tried and trusted.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: From the sugary pink hue, to the poor construction of this Dior frock and the horrendous shoes, this was a no from head-to-toe from Rosie.
