Olga Kurylenko In Marchesa – ‘Oblivion’ London Premiere

Perhaps in homage to the snowfall we have been experiencing in London today, Olga Kurylenko took to the red carpet at the BFI IMAX in London this evening as Snow White for the ‘Oblivion’ premiere.

She wore a winter-white Grecian-style Marchesa Pre-Fall 2013 off-the-shoulder gown, featuring a contrast re-embroidered black lace and sheer neckline, gathered sweetheart bodice, and a draped full-length skirt.

Her ethereal gown was styled with sultry smoky eyes and a simple ponytail, which was centre-parted and rolled at the sides.

A black-and-gold Stark ‘Seductress’ Swarovski crystal clutch and diamond star De Beers earrings provided the finishing touches to her look.

Some of you have stated that Olga’s looks have not been that memorable so far, so how do you feel about this look?

I’m now undecided which to put up for BDOTW. The Elie Saab or this beauty.

Marchesa Fall 2013 On ModaOperandi

Olivia Munn In Marchesa – 2013 Oscars

Olivia Munn took to the red carpet at Sunday’s 2013 Oscars at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Olivia looked regal in a gown from Marchesa Fall 2013.

The actress joined Salma Hayek in trying out the baroque trend for fall with a ruby-hued gown with intricate gold embroidery on the bodice of the sweetheart silhouette. I loved the delicately folded layers of red satin that so elegantly flowed into a glamorous train.

Olivia paired her dress with a beautifully simple updo in a deep side part with ruby lips.

Fan Bingbing In Marchesa – 2013 Oscars

Ripping her red-carpet confection straight from the Marchesa Fall 2013 runway of New York Fashion Week just days ago, Fan Bingbing made a bold entrance at the 2013 Academy Awards, hosted this evening at the Dolby Theatre in California.

It’s no surprise that designers Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman’s most recent collection has hit the Oscars. The romantically theatrical aura of creations like Fan’s fuchsia number certainly are worthy of a red carpet.

That said, I wasn’t totally on board with the Chinese actress’s interpretation of this architecturally extravagant gown, which was undoubtedly a challenge to fit into a limousine—or through a doorway.

It came rather close to overwhelming the petite star. And that black clutch, while lovely, was a harsh distraction.

But the Chopard jewels, in complementary shades of pink and magenta, were beautiful.

She finished the look with a structured high updo and a pink lippie.

Marchesa Fall 2013

The Marchesa Fall 2013 collection was even more grand and romantic than previous seasons.

Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman served up luxurious pieces many starlets will be clamouring for, especially with the Oscars around the corner – in fact, I’m sure some of the gowns are making their way to LA at this very moment.

The show opened with a bold red embroidered coat before swiftly moving on to tea-length dresses – some with sheer balloon sleeves – off-the shoulder gowns, and one-shoulder gowns with asymmetrical tiers, plus many satin gowns with tulle hems.

The romanticism was really captured with the slow movement of the models and the flowing trains of the last few looks. You couldn’t help but be entranced as the fuchsia strapless gown made its way around the runway.

Gold floral embroidery featured heavily within this collection; the detail up close was simply exquisite.

Marchesa’s range of bags extended once again this season. Larger bags with chain accents and envelope clutches featured in this collection, with Christian Louboutin providing the footwear.
