Rita Ora In Marchesa – 2015 Oscars

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Rita Ora is one of the featured performers at the 2015 Oscars, and as such, she took to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (February 22).

Exuding drama in spades, the British songstress was the picture of opulent grandeur in a Marchesa midnight corset gown with gold-leaf embroidery.

Gorgeous Bulgari and Lorraine Schwartz jewels were rightfully in alignment with the magnificence of the dress and its long train.

Just as notable about this sculptural statement is that it oozed sophisticated without Rita’s sometimes-questionable style theatrics.

Plus, I loved the modernity delivered by her sleek, white-platinum pixie and nude lip.

Karolina Kurkova In Marchesa – 2015 Oscars

Karolina Kurkova In Marchesa - 2015 Oscars

Karolina Kurkova stunned on the red carpet of the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

Strutting out a Marchesa gown, the supermodel started the evening on the right foot in this pale-pink wonder.

She could have passed for a beautiful sculpture in the statuesque and regal design with an architectural, bustle-inspired ruffle detail at the back.

I loved this dress even more from its glorious backside, although I’m not sure how she manages to sit.

The styling couldn’t have been more on point either—from the Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals and Harry Winston diamond jewels, to her rose-hinted makeup and sleekly knotted ’do.

Blake Lively In Marchesa – Marchesa Fall 2015 Front Row

Blake Lively In Marchesa - Marchesa Fall 2015 Front Row

Blake Lively made her second appearance during New York Fashion Week at the Marchesa Fall 2015 show held at the St Regis Hotel on Wednesday (February 18) in New York City, where she was seated next to her BFF Anna Wintour.

Making the Marchesa Spring 2015 organza bird-print flared skirt the focal point, she styled the look with both complementary black – halter top and Gucci clutch – and yellow – Louboutin pumps – pieces.

I know some might take issue with this look, but I think she looks lovely.

This is much more flattering for her than her previous look, plus it showcases a daintier, softer side to her style we don’t see too often.

A selection of jewels, including ear climbers from Lorraine Schwartz, and a slicked-back do rounded out her look.

Joanne Froggatt In Marchesa – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Joanne Froggatt In Marchesa - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Joanne Froggatt attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11)  in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress, who won the award for ‘Best Supporting Actress for a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie,’ picked an embellished Marchesa dress for her award-winning night.

Though the gown is undeniably beautiful, the overall look was too busy for the ‘Downtown Abbey’ star. The milkmaid braids were too much with the beaded gown. Instead, a messy updo would’ve made a more cohesive look.

But the main problem with this ensemble is her earring choice. Between the dress and hair, Joanne’s outfit has an almost medieval theme; however, the pink dangling earring takes away from the look. A simple diamond stud would’ve made the world’s difference.

Katie Holmes In Marchesa – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Katie Holmes In Marchesa - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Katie Holmes looked stunning at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress wore a custom Marchesa aubergine draped strapless gown with a mid-length train.

The swathed prominence around the waist and hips is very flattering, giving Katie more of a womanly figure.

I think that her slicked side part looks ravishing with this outfit combination, but I would have preferred to see her hair pulled up in a bun. The ensemble would have been more complete with a strand of diamonds or tiny studs to brighten up the neckline.

Her smoky, taupe makeup and nude lip are very complementary to the gown’s eggplant hue.
