Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer – 2015 Time 100 Gala

Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer - 2015 Time 100 Gala

Laverne Cox attended the 2015 Time 100 Gala at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, on Tuesday (April 21) in New York City.

The ‘Orange Is The New Black’ actress had a very inconsistent awards season, so I was delighted to see her back on track with this stunning Marc Bouwer Fall 2015 gown.

Figure-hugging, dazzling, styled perfectly and in a hue which makes her skin glow; what’s not to love?

Christina Aguilera In Marc Bouwer – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Christina Aguilera In Marc Bouwer - 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Christina Aguilera attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Like Solange Knowles, she also did the turtle-neckline long-sleeve white gown thing, wearing a piece from Marc Bouwer featuring a broken-glass-effect pattern.

I can’t say I’m particularly enamoured by the look, but considering Christina’s past looks this one ain’t half bad.

It possesses plenty of drama in hushed tones, amped up with a selection of opulent jewels; for Christina this is a win.

Toni Braxton In Marc Bouwer – 2015 Grammy Awards

Toni Braxton In Marc Bouwer - 2015 Grammy Awards

Toni Braxton attended the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8) held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The singer wore a Marc Bouwer Fall 2015 pure white gown featuring an embellished panel which did a good job of preventing this look being all about the twins.

With a central slit cut to the upper thigh and a flowing train, the look was styled with silver mirrored peep-toes and her signature finger waves hairdo.

For me, the slit was perhaps one element too far for this look as the top half revealed enough skin.

‘Selma’ And The Legends Who Paved The Way Gala

'Selma' And The Legends Who Paved The Way Gala

The ‘Selma’ and the Legends Who Paved the Way Gala was held at Bacara Resort this past Saturday (December 6) in Goleta, California.

Tessa Thompson: The actress was pretty in a pink Giulietta Spring 2015 dress with a pleated, cutout skirt, which she paired with white Oscar Tiye sandals and a Swarovski clutch. With a distinct ’40s flair, the retro mood was prim but not too proper with its skin-baring keyhole detail that put some sultry into all that sweetness.

Oprah Winfrey: Taking lavender out for a spin, the entertainment mogul wore a Marc Bouwer Couture draped gown with embellished waistband matched to her eye shadow.

Angela Bassett: Leaving the pastels (and the dresses) for Tessa and Oprah, Angela instead suited up in a more mannish black-and-white ensemble. While the outfit was nothing to write home about, she attempted to fancy it up with a fringed tassel necklace and a cerulean-blue clutch. I’m not sure it exactly worked.

With a ladies-who-lunch number, an evening gown, and a business suit, it’s hard to tell just exactly what the dress-code was for this gala.

Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Laverne Cox stunned on the red carpet at the 2014 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards at Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 10) in New York City.

The ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress, who was honoured at the event, looked breathtaking in an electric-blue velvet Marc Bouwer gown featuring a sheer yoke detail to add a hint of sex appeal.

While the hair is perhaps a bit too busy for my taste, I love the blue eye makeup and edgy ear cuffs she added to this look.

Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer – 2014 Emmy Awards

Laverne Cox In Marc Bouwer - 2014 Emmy Awards

After attending the 2014 MTV VMAs on Sunday night, Laverne Cox was back on the red carpet for the 2014 Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday (August 25).

Embodying a completely different style, the ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress went from high-octane shine at the VMAs to sleek Grecian goddess in this white, custom Marc Bouwer plunge gown.

The sleek draping and the diaphanous train that trailed behind her were beautiful, and the effect was one of ultimate sophistication.

Her styling was on point, too, reflecting the more refined classicism of the gown with Stuart Weitzman heels, a few sparkling Fred Leighton jewels and a romantic, rolled updo.
