Kerry Washington In Louis Vuitton - ‘Django Unchained’ Berlin Photocall

I hate to sound repetitive, but Kerry Washington is having an amazing start to 2013.

The actress was in Berlin, Germany this afternoon for a photocall for her latest movie, ‘Django Unchained’.

Her Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 white-and-ivory calf-length dress is gorgeous and her styling is impeccable – as always.

This is the third run out of Marc Jacobs’ mostly chequered collection, and I’m surprisingly not bored, as I assumed I would be if I saw more than two of these pieces on the red carpet.

Adding a cutesy touch to her look, Kerry donned an LV white headband, styling the rest of her look with white Christian Louboutin pumps (I’m giving her a pass) and a dainty Vince Camuto bag.

I still think her Rochas look was my favourite, but this comes in a very close second.

I have a feeling I will change my mind by the end of the week as she still has the Berlin premiere and London to go.

Who Wore Louis Vuitton Better Kirsten Dunst, Huo Siyan or Alice Englert

Back in July, Kirsten Dunst hit the opening of Louis Vuitton’s latest boutique in Paris in a look from – what else? – Louis Vuitton’s 2013 resort collection. The actress paired the slightly casual maxi dress with a gold LV clutch, light makeup, and soft blonde waves.

The retro look of this dress is a tough one to pull off, but Kirsten got everything right with the accessory and styling choices.

Fellow actresses Alice Englert and Huo Siyan, however, didn’t show Kirsten’s flare for rocking the flower-child maxi look when they both donned the same dress this past fall.

Huo Siyan overshot her ensemble by copying the runway version of the look to the letter with a LV cardigan and blazer, which she wore to the L’Officiel 2012 China Elegance Awards in Beijing back in October.

She let the dress and layered pieces overwhelm her small frame. The result was too matchy-matchy and lacking any real sense of sophistication or high style.

Alice took to the red carpet in LA during early November for the screening of ‘Ginger and Rosa’ at AFI FEST 2012 and simply went too minimal. The dress looked too casual without any luxe touches or sense of sparkle.

The clear winner in this battle of the patterned maxi dresses is Kirsten Dunst.

Hailee Steinfeld celebrated her Sweet 16 at the Rolling Stone Restaurant and Lounge in LA on Saturday.

The pretty actress wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 romper.

Her black-and-ivory checked romper was styled with a bright-red Louis Vuitton clutch, which matched her nail polish, and nude ankle-strap Nicholas Kirkwod pumps with a red platform.

I loved this look until I got to the heels. The style isn’t the issue because what 16-year-old doesn’t want to wear platform heels on their birthday?

It’s more the colour.

I think even solid black would’ve worked better for me here.

Yay or nay on the heels?

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was back on the red carpet last night, joining Lea Michele and Diane Kruger at the party for The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013, held at Cecconi’s Restaurant in California.

On this occasion she wore a Louis Vuitton Resort 2013 dress.

The bi-colour look, with a warm-brown asymmetrical one-sleeve top and A-line white skirt with buttons going down the side, has me sitting firmly on the fence.

Gold accessories including a Jimmy Choo clutch, Swarovski earrings plus, Carla Amorim and Melinda Maria rings were the right choice, but the red Max Azria shoes – although I like the colour, I don’t like the style.

Had they been simpler I think I would be praising her for stepping out of the box, but they don’t flow too well with the rest of her look.

Yay or nay on her shoe choice?

Bérénice Bejo attended the ‘Populaire’ premiere at Cinema UGC Normandie in Paris, France yesterday evening.

The French actress wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 three-quarter-length sleeve dress.

Her ivory-and-ecru checked dress was styled with some punchy accessories, including red suede Christian Louboutin pumps, a silver crystal-embellished clutch and Anna Rivka jewels.

I don’t think she needed so much sparkle for her chic mod look. The pumps were enough to give this look an interesting edge.

Pace Wu was most definitely one to watch in the front row during Paris Fashion Week.

The Asian model/actress attended the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 presentation wearing a look from the brand Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Her green embroidered sleeveless dress with a lime green belt was styled with black pumps with a gold heel.

Lara Bingle wore the same dress a few weeks later at the SK-II skincare line event at David Jones in Sydney, Australia.

While open-toe boots give the look an edge, the furry collar, as worn by the model in the look book, is too comical on Lara.

As always, she was trying way too hard. This was an easy win for the elegant Pace Wu.
