Louis Vuitton ‘Series 2′ The Exhibition

Louis Vuitton hosted their ‘Series 2′ The Exhibition in Hollywood, California, on Thursday (February 5), inviting their favourite girls along with a whole host of stars, some wearing the luxury label for the first time.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress put her best ankle boot forward, standing out head and shoulders above the herd wearing an intricately embroidered lavender leather LV look styled with her ever-present LV clutch. Just when the union was starting to wane, this look sees my love reignited.

Michelle Williams: Having lent her face to Louis Vuitton several times now, the actress continues to manage to balance her dainty style with an edgier vibe in the brand’s unique pieces. Working a Zosia Mamet-esque hairstyle, the part-printed frock was styled with ice-white sandals.

Dianna Agron: My words are few for this look: No and what were you thinking? From the contrasting garish prints and the granny tights, I would only save the bag from this look.

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – ‘Aloft’ (‘No Llores, Vuela’) Madrid Photocall & Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 'Aloft' ('No Llores, Vuela') Madrid Photocall & Premiere

On Wednesday (January 21) Jennifer Connelly was in Madrid, Spain, to promote her new movie, ‘Aloft’, whose original title read ‘No Llores, Vuela’ in Spanish.

Photocall: At the photocall held at the Ritz hotel, the actress opted for chic separates, pairing a printed top with an A-line leather skirt, which is a fundamentally sleek design, giving her daytime look edgy elegance. The look was, of course, styled with Louis Vuitton ankle boots.

Premiere: For the premiere, the actress was able to snag a look from the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2015 collection even before Style.com could publish the pictures. No real surprises there. Continuing on the leather-trimmed theme from recent collections, Nicolas Ghesquière’s visionary approach to femme design is rendered in this mini daisy print dress, which marries sensuality with a cool edge. Keeping the LV ankle boots she wore earlier in the day, the look was topped off with a patent-leather LV clutch.

Felicity Jones In Louis Vuitton – ‘The Theory of Everything’ New York Screening

Felicity Jones In Louis Vuitton - 'The Theory of Everything' New York Screening

Felicity Jones attended MoMA’s Contenders Series screening of ‘The Theory Of Everything’ held at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday (January 6) in New York City.

It’s always a happy moment at RCFA HQ upon seeing the British actress wearing colour, and on this occasion my favourite colour: electric blue, selecting a Louis Vuitton sleeveless dress.

Beautifully fitted in the bodice and flared at the skirt, this piece transcends a fluid feminine silhouette.

Opting for tights again, the look is given a contemporary twist with patent-leather LV booties.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Louis Vuitton – 2015 People’s Choice Awards

Chloe Grace Moretz In Louis Vuitton - 2015 People’s Choice Awards

Chloe Grace Moretz attended the 41st Annual People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre LA Live on Wednesday (January 7) in Los Angeles, California, where she picked up the ‘Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress’ award for ‘If I Stay’.

The young actress is one of my faves as she’s always styled to perfection, opting for current pieces, often with an edge, and impressive footwear.

On this occasion the look feels a bit been-there-done-that because we’ve seen various versions of this Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 look already on the red carpet.

At this point I can’t wait for the Pre-Fall 2015 collection to come out so celebs can move past this much-worn Spring 2015 collection.

Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton – ‘Testament Of Youth’ London Premiere

Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton - 'Testament Of Youth' London Premiere

Alicia Vikander posed on the red carpet this evening (January 5) for the London premiere of ‘Testament Of Youth’ held at the Empire Leicester Square.

The Swedish actress wore look from the most popular red carpet brand of 2014: Louis Vuitton, selecting her second look from the Spring 2015 collection.

While the 70s inspired peasant dress crafted from crisp white cotton and finished with perforated panels, girlish ruffles and contrasting black detailing is fresh and youthful with plenty of feminine flare, it doesn’t, as least for me, quite befit a movie premiere.

It’s not that I’m expecting an Elie Saab gown; just something that feels not so casual. This would’ve been perfect for tomorrow’s photocall and or a Disney premiere.

Do you agree?

On the plus side, for once I actually adore these Louis Vuitton boots.

Most Worn Brand 2014 – Louis Vuitton

Most Worn Brand 2014 - Louis Vuitton

Hardly a day has passed in the fashion universe when the Louis Vuitton letters have been missing from the red carpet. The constellation of stars who wore the venerable French label are as numerable and varied as the ensembles themselves.

Call it a mild obsession among the celebrity set.

Among the devotees who pulled off the edgier, fashion-forward statements were Nicole Kidman in a custom, floral-embellished red gown, along with French beauty Adèle Exarchopoulos in full-on flower-power mode. Likewise Julianne Moore upped the ante and the edge factor in her burgundy leather top and sparkling, spiral skirt, also custom. Even designer Victoria Beckham stepped foot out of her own eponymous label for Louis Vuitton, wearing a more mannish vest and trousers combo.

The most dedicated darlings of the brand—and really, to its designer, Nicolas Ghesquière—were rarely, if at all, dressed without that LV monogram on the tags, even favouring the more eccentric Spring 2015 collection on many occasions. Charlotte Gainsbourg tops the list of Nicolas’s most faithful, often donning the top-to-toe runway looks or custom-made creations like a two-piece, sequin gown at the Venice Film Festival.

Jennifer Connelly was right at her heels, as she plucked out look after LV look, including a particularly interesting trompe l’oeil mini and lace tights. Michelle Williams drank the designer Kool-Aid, too, stepping outside her standard style in outfits including a white leather dress, whimsically printed in lipsticks, nail polish, eyelash curlers and the like.

We may not have always liked what Louis was dishing out—especially not those leg-stumping ankle boots. But there’s no denying that 2014 was a power year for the powerful brand.
