Karolina Kurkova In Lela Rose – Women of Impact Reception – Zurich Film Festival 2014

Karolina Kurkova In Lela Rose - Women of Impact Reception - Zurich Film Festival 2014

Karolina Kurkova attended the Women of Impact Reception on Friday (September 26), which was the second day of the Zurich Film Festival 2014 in Zurich, Switzerland.

Standing with her film-producer husband, Archie Drury, the supermodel struck a breezy, effortless pose in a Lela Rose Spring 2015 white frock.

Freshly picked from the runway, the metallic windowpane-print, wrap dress was actually rather modified from its original version, both shortened in length and sans the cutout sliver of midriff that has become nearly ubiquitous now.

It was sophisticatedly classic and event-appropriate, with a bright Lee Savage box clutch and the pop of a red lip tying the ensemble together. Even the white pumps did their part, although I could see a soft-metallic shoe working just as well.

Reality TV Stars Love…One-Sleeved Dresses

This week both Paris Hilton and Stephanie Pratt have been out and about promoting themselves wearing very similar dresses.

The dresses are one-sleeved and I’ve noticed that this is very much becoming a trend amongst the reality TV starlets.

Kim Kardashian also favours the one-sleeve look.

Paris wore a Lipsy VIP asymmetric animal sequin dress when she appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman” yesterday.

Whilst earlier this week Stephanie jumps on the Brian Litchenberg wagon very late wearing the same one-sleeved dress which Katie Cassidy and Paris Hilton have previously worn.

Are we liking this look or are we over this look?

Burberry Prorsum vs. Lipsy

We were all very excited to watch the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 presentation as it was beamed live via the internet last September.

We drooled over the updated trenches which had twists, ruching and came in cute pastel colours.

A knotted Burberry Prorsum trench from Net-A-Porter’s international would set you back £2,395.

Lipsy London have been inspired by the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 collection to present their own Lipsy ruched shoulder mac which will only set you back £70.

Prices to suit all pockets.

Who Wore Lipsy Better? Alexandra Burke or Rachel Adedeji

Last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke first wore this Lipsy fringe detail dress to “Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball” in London on 6th December.

I must say I love her hair. The blunt fringe really suits this look.

And then she ruins it with the ankle boots *sigh*.

This dress gives Alexandra a really nice shape but I wish she’d worn something a bit more festive.

X Factor contender Rachel Adedji then wore this dress last week to “Capital Rocks” in London.

Where to start? Those boots? If you insist on wearing boots on the red carpet at least wear some that fit.

Rachel’s boots are baggy around her legs, which makes this look sloppy and badly put together.

I’m not crazy about the earrings either and in fact think that both girls are lacking some much needed accessories.

Alexandra wins this round for me, although I’m not blown away by either.

This dress is available to buy from ASOS US and ASOS.com

Who Wore Lipsy London Better? Sacha Parkinson, Michelle Keegan or Lucie Jones

“Coronation Street” actress Sacha Parkinson arrived at the “Inside Soap Awards” in London back in September wearing a grey Lipsy London bejeweled heart layer dress.

She paired her dress with a matching grey clutch and black patent platform pumps.

Sacha’s colleague, Michelle Keegan wore the same dress in a cute peachy colour when she attended the “Pride Of Britain Awards” in London a few weeks later.

The actress wore her dress with a black blazer, an adorable feathered clutch and platformed ankle boots.

Former “X Factor” contestant Lucie Jones also wore the peachy version when she walked her first red carpet at the UK premiere of Jim Carrey’s new movie “A Christmas Carol”.

She toughen up her cutesy dress with a leather jacket and strappy black sandals.

I much prefer the peach colour so that leaves out Sacha.

I wanted to vote for Michelle as I loved her smart blazer look, but I don’t like the ankle boots, so Lucie wins this for me.

This bejeweled heart layer dress is available to purchase from Lipsy London in slate grey and peach for £175.

Alexandra Burke Loves Lipsy London

Alexandra Burke may have the No.1 single in the UK – which was the fastest selling single of the year – but she still loves shopping the high-street.

This weekend at the ‘Girlguiding UK’s Big Gig’ at Wembley Arena the singer was spotted wearing two Lipsy London one-sleeved dresses.

She walked the red carpet wearing a Lipsy London mesh one shoulder dress which she paired with knee-high suede boots.

She later performed wearing a Lipsy London VIP asymmetric animal sequin dress.

My favourite of the two is the blue dress. It kind of reminds me of the one-sleeved blue sequined Balmain Fall 2009 dress.

TV Quick & TV Choice Awards

Patsy Kensit was easily my Best Dressed at this event wearing a red and black feather print Alexander McQueen cowl neck gown.

If you look to your right, you will see that I loved this gown so much I added it to my favourites this week.

As with any McQueen piece, the gown has a dramatic print which is both seductive and haunting.

I can’t help wishing she saved this stunning gown for a grander occasion.

Billie Piper also looked fab – excluding the Alexa Chung two-tone hair.

Speaking of Alexa, this is very much a look that Alexa would have channeled pre-grubby chic.

I love the ivory blazer and studded sandals, which she pairs with black jeans.

Ex-Eastenders actress Gillian Taylforth has obviously been looking after herself, as she appears not to have aged since I last saw her on the BBC show 10 years ago.

Can you believe she’s 54?

She looks outstanding wearing a coral plunging gown.

Speaking of ex-soap stars  many others attended this event last night.

A red carpet event in London would not be complete without a Lipsy London dress, and ex-Coronation Street actress Angela Griffin was the one to provide that for us wearing an ivory Lipsy London strapless dress with bejeweled pockets.

Ex-Eastenders actress Lauren Crace wore a black strapless dress, with strappy sandals whilst carrying a Topshop floral glitter clutch.

Gemma Atkinson wore a red French Connection ribbon dress, which looks a lot like a Herve Leger bandage dress.

Whilst Michelle Collins opted for something more sophisticated wearing a lace mini cocktail dress.

Other stars included Emmerdale’s Emma Rigby wearing a blue harem pants jumpsuit accented with a black bow tie.

Keely Hawes brought the ankle boot with cute dress trend to the UK.

Eastenders actress Danniella Westbrook opted for a long-sleeved dress covered in multi-coloured paillettes which I love.

Nina Toussaint-White from Eastenders opted for a cute embellished baby-doll dress.

The winners on the night are as follows:

Taylor Swift Stylish In London

Earlier this week Taylor Swift was in the UK to play at Virgin Media’s V Festival.

Before arriving in London Taylor twittered, “About to take off. Next stop: London. Or as I like to call it… FUN-don.”

So she was expecting to have a great time, and it looks like she did.

On a shopping trip around Notting Hill the singer was spotted wearing oversized shades, Frye sandals and a cute floral Lipsy London backless sundress.

This dress is currently on sale reduced from £50 to £30.

Lipsy are currently offering Free Standard UK Delivery on all orders. Simply use the Promotion Code: BANKHOLIDAY.

This offer ends at Midnight Monday 31st August 2009

Taylor has developed an impressive personal style and this is evident in her other looks.

On her way to her performance on breakfast show GMTV, she wore a floral dress with brown cut-out heels.

A blue and green Rebecca Taylor dress with aqua Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps were paired together for dinner at Hakkasan with Katy Perry.

On another night out she wore a violet Tracy Reese iridescent sculpted dress paired with a yellow bag, and black peep-toes.

On her way to V Festival she looked cute wearing a navy dress with a white print, paired with her Frye sandals again.

With the number 13 written on her hand, Taylor signed autographs for her fans outside her hotel.  She was dressed to enjoy our summer wearing a simple black and white tee, with a striped A line skirt.

Looking this good you’re always welcome back to London Taylor.
