Hilary Swank In Lanvin – Los Angeles Confidential Party

Los Angeles Confidential magazine celebrated its Women of Influence issue with cover star Hilary Swank on Thursday (April 13) at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in California.

The actress was a striking presence on the red carpet, oozing elegance in a gorgeous Lanvin Pre-Fall 2018 dress.

I love the modern style of the dress, the warm hue and the carefully considered accessories (which included Jennifer Meyer jewels), but Hilary is killing the major detail on the dress with her placement of her clutch.

Hannah John-Kamen In Lanvin – ‘Ready Player One’ LA Premiere

Hannah John-Kamen joined Olivia Cooke, Jaime King, Sofia Vergara and Kat Graham at the ‘Ready Player One’ LA premiere on Monday (March 26).

The actress sculpted a striking silhouette with this black jumpsuit from Lanvin’s Sprnig 2018 collection.

Minimalist in aesthetic and artful in design, I love the dramatic twist with the flowing train to create a high-impact look.

Hearts on Fire statement earrings and Christian Louboutin shoes provided the finishing touches.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A group of handsomely outfitted guys have been out and about lately, as they make the red carpet rounds. Here’s the midweek roundup.

Timothee Chalamet: I love this up-and-comer’s style, as he always appears effortlessly nonchalant yet completely pulled-together on the red carpet even in a super-sharp Gucci Resort 2018 checquered suit that assured he stood out among the crowd at the 2017 GQ Men of the Year Party on Thursday (December 6) in LA.

Chadwick Boseman: At the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ LA premiere on Saturday (December 8), Chadwick joined a constellation of actresses—and held his own in a Ports 1961 Fall 2017 ensemble. The unexpected, directional striped detail is what sold the look to me for this monumental premiere.

Nick Jonas: Looking as spiffy as ever, Nick dressed in a Ermenegildo Zegna Couture suit for the ‘Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’ LA premiere on Monday (December 11). I really like how the cropped proportions, crew-neck shirt, and suede boots brought a whole new, cool-suave perspective to this look.

Gigi Hadid In Lanvin – Out In London

After Gigi Hadid was promoting her Gigi Hadid x Maybelline collaboration in London earlier this week, the model was seen out in in the capital yesterday (November 8).

I love how she brought such seductive ease to this Lanvin Fall 2017 bustier blouse when partnering it with the boyish flair of cropped, faded denim.

With her draped coat, diamonds, and metallic pumps serving as willingly elegant counterparts, this was an ode to glam street-style that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Dressy-casual meets cool-girl style, and I’m all for this union.

Gabrielle Union takes Menswear Spring 2018 Paris Fashion Week by storm

Gabrielle Union has taken the Menswear Spring 2018 edition of Paris Fashion Week by style storm, as she’s had more outfit changes than some models with a record seven looks and counting. Equally impressive, Dwayne Wade has been a style-forward partner-in-crime almost every step of the way.

Valentino Show: At the Valentino show on Wednesday (June 21), Gabrielle started off the whirlwind week with a relaxed note in a breezy, flowing Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 floral gown. Sure, it was a glorified maxi dress, but I was so pleased to see it without the runway’s sweater top. Plus, it translated beautifully on her. Dwayne Wade stood close by with his best, trend-forward attitude in place. He suited up in a Valentino plaid ensemble that was embroidered and chain-accented for additional edge. It was likely no accident that the three-piece suit’s plum-and-mint colour palette referenced Gabrielle’s dress.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Lanvin – Apple Music’s Planet of the Apps Party

Gwyneth Paltrow joined Jessica Alba for Apple Music’s Planet of the Apps Party at Soho House on Monday (June 12) in West Hollywood, California.

While I’m not happy that Gwyneth has opted to follow Victoria Beckham’s trend of excessively long trousers, I do love how they, combined with the Lanvin Fall 2017 top with lace ruffle detailing, create a perfect balance of modern femininity and contemporary style.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the rare slick back ponytail, and I simply adore the bold red lip also.

‘Rough Night’ New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Between Scarlett Johansson’s silver glitz, Demi Moore’s pastel plisse, and Zoe Kravitz’s red-haute jumpsuit, the dress code was an eclectic one at the ‘Rough Night’ premiere in New York on Monday (June 12). A few additional stars contributed more variety to the mix, too.

Jillian Bell: Channeling girly frill, Jillian wore a Marchesa Notte Pre-Fall 2017 floral-festooned frock that had a distinct sugary flavour. The silver metallic shoes were perhaps selected to add some edge but they didn’t exactly fit in.

Ty Burrell: Keeping it simple in a khaki-hued suit, Ty dressed for summer in an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture ensemble finished with the darker punch of a chocolate-brown tie and dress shoes.

Ilana Glazer: In theory, I appreciate Ilana’s bold approach with this Lanvin Spring 2017 look. But, in execution, it fell short with the deep plunge hitting at an awkward point and the creased pants falling a bit long.

Did you like any of these looks, or was it a rough fashion night for you?
