Olivia Munn In Lanvin – American Ballet Theatre 2014 Opening Night Fall Gala

Olivia Munn In Lanvin - American Ballet Theatre 2014 Opening Night Fall Gala

Olivia Munn attended the American Ballet Theatre 2014 Opening Night Fall Gala, ‘Scarlett, Red, White & Blue’, held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City on Wednesday (October 22).

The actress wore a Lanvin Fall 2014 feathered frock which was a more playful look than we would expect to see on the red carpet at this event.

I’m sure some will be horrified that she took scissors to her frock, which sat just above the knee on the runway, but Olivia was clearly there to have fun, amping up the look with a bubblegum-pink lip, polka dot clutch and high bun.

Loving it or loathing it?

Gugu Mbatha-Raw In Lanvin – ‘Beyond The Lights’ Chicago International Film Festival Screening

Gugu Mbatha-Raw In Lanvin - 'Beyond The Lights' Chicago International Film Festival Screening

Gugu Mbatha-Raw attended a screening of ‘Beyond The Lights’ at the 50th annual Chicago International Film Festival at the AMC River East 21 on Friday (October 10) in Chicago, Illinois.

The British actress wore a demurely elegant Lanvin Resort 2015 knee-length LBD spliced with a white bow detail at the neckline giving this sophisticated look a girlish flourish.

With that gorgeous face, chic updo and diamond jewels, the look didn’t need much else, so simple black pumps provided the finishing touch.

I love Gugu’s style. Simple, elegant, without a hint of trying too hard.

Suki Waterhouse In Lanvin – ‘Love, Rosie’ London Premiere

Suki Waterhouse In Lanvin - ‘Love, Rosie’ London Premiere

Suki Waterhouse joined Lily Collins on the red carpet for the world premiere of ‘Love, Rosie’ held at the Odeon West End on Monday (October 6) in London, England.

The actress wore one of those shimmering pieces from Lanvin’s Spring 2015 collection and, while I like the long-sleeved frock, it was let down by some rather unfortunate styling.

Neither the leopard-trim coat or hot-pink Jimmy Choo clutch are working with this look for me. The coat feels like a forced attempt to make this look cool, and the clutch feels like a last-minute addition.

As always, her style is very hit and miss.

Lanvin Spring 2015 Front Row

Lanvin Front Row Spring 2015

Noomi Rapace and Kim Kardashian, who earlier in the day had taken their front row seats at Balmain, also attended the Lanvin Spring 2015 show alongside Ciara on Thursday (September 25) in Paris, France during Fashion Week.

Noomi Rapace: Upon looking at this Lanvin Pre-Fall 2014 striped suit paired with a fur stole, I’ve just realized it’s not the clothes that I object to; rather, it’s the unfortunate hair and makeup Noomi is working during fashion week.

Kim Kardashian: The reality star didn’t need to do much to ensure all eyes were on her, but just in case she opted to attend the show with at least two-thirds of her breast hanging out. While she is wearing a top under the blazer, the look leaves little to the imagination.

Ciara: I was hoping that Ciara could save this front row but I’m a fan of neither the oversized leather Lanvin Fall 2014 coat nor the makeup. I hope she finds her way back to glory soon. I haven’t really liked anything she’s worn since she made her return to the red carpet.

Zhang Ziyi In Lanvin – Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala

Zhang Ziyi In Lanvin - Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala

Zhang Ziyi joined Fan Bingbing on the red carpet this evening (September 19) for the Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala in China where she was the host.

While I was expecting an princess gown from Zhang Ziyi, she went left, and served up this laidback elegant Lanvin Resort 2015 look.

No bells, no whistles; just a achingly understated black and white silk blouse with a black maxi skirt oozing boho chic.

I love that she didn’t overdress, styling the look with some complementary accessories including a gold flower belt, silver jewels and Roger Vivier clutch.

Wavy tresses and a red lip rounded out her pitch perfect look.

J’adore. Some times less is more. Do you agree?

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While the constellation of actresses on the scene at the 2014 Emmy Awards had all of us focused on the range of red-carpet gowns and glam, there was plenty more eye candy to be had with the men in the mix at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday night (August 25).

Matthew McConaughey: Not one to ever be a shrinking violet, the ‘True Detective’ actor and nominee suited up in a bold blue Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with contrasting black lapels, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘New Orleans’ flats, and a Bulgari watch and cufflinks. Was it my favourite look of his? Perhaps not. It even drew ‘A Night at the Roxbury’ comparisons among the Twitter-verse. But, with that handsome gaze, he can pull off anything.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ Emmy winner couldn’t have accepted his trophy in more classic fashion. He wore top-to-toe Prada in a black kid-mohair tuxedo, with a two-button notch-lapel design and velvet trim on the collar. A white smoking silk shirt, black bowtie and black spazzolato lace-up shoes, plus a Bulgari timepiece, completed the look.

Ty Burrell: Channeling his own blue mood, the ‘Modern Family’ Emmy winner wore a custom Todd Snyder tuxedo that was made especially for his big night. The Italian wool design was a collaborative effort between Ty, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and the designer and boasts a unique shade of blue called ‘dusk,’ which nicely updates the tux from the more standard colourways of black and navy.

Jessica Pare In Lanvin – 2014 Emmy Awards

Jessica Pare In Lanvin – 2014 Emmy Awards

Jessica Pare chose an elegant Lanvin design for the 2014 Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday (August 25). The look was a dramatic departure from the youthful 60s style she flaunts on “Mad Men.”

Jessica’s black strapless gown featured a beaded strapless bodice and draped tulip skirt. Her accessories included Christian Louboutin ‘Gardnera’ peep-toe shoes and a graceful sliver pendant necklace from Fred Leighton.

Her chic slicked back hair was the perfect do for this look, putting the focus on her stunning figure.
