Janelle Monáe In Marc Jacobs & Kate Spade New York – Good Morning America

On Monday (February 20), Janelle Monae was up bright and early for her guest appearance on Good Morning America where she helped honor Raye Montague, the first woman to become a program manager in Navy history and the first woman to design a ship using a computer.

Janelle was on top form – as we would expect – hitting all her signatures: black and white, a bright red lip; and we can now add pearl-accented hair, and a love for checkered patterns and polka dots, as this is the second time she has worn her Kate Spade New York faux fur coat.

The only thing missing here is her love for stripes, but with two patterns already going on a third would’ve been overkill.

Cesare Paciotti sandals and 50s-style cat-eye glasses completed her look.

Is there too much going on, or only Janelle could make this work?

Ashley Tisdale In Kate Spade New York – DUO Launch

Ashley Tisdale was at the launch event for DUO on Thursday (February 16) in Hollywood, California.

There was something cutely chic about the prissy schoolgirl charm of her uniform-like Kate Spade New York black jumper dress with the white blouse and bow.

Prim turned quickly into angst-y punk, though, with her black sneaker platforms and their buckled ankle detail.

The quirk factor of those statement shoes is an acquired taste—and one I’m admittedly still trying to acquire.

What about you?

Anika Noni Rose In Kate Spade New York – Hollywood Today Live

Anika Noni Rose made an appearance on Hollywood Today Live on Tuesday (January 24) in Hollywood.

A shrinking violet she was not in this cheery, floral print frock from Kate Spade New York.

‘The Quad’ actress’s bold fuchsia lip and edgy hairstyle were both a fun twist for the look, but the big pendant earrings almost overcooked it.

I would have swapped them for a thin belt to further define her waist.

Olivia Palermo In Kate Spade New York – William Sonoma & Kate Spade New York Debut of the Tabletop Collaboration

Olivia Palermo attended a dinner in New York City hosted by Williams Sonoma and Kate Spade New York, celebrating the debut of the two brands’ tabletop collaboration on Thursday (January 12).

The style-setter wore a Kate Spade New York ‘Valerie’ blazer paired with the Kate Spade New York ‘Imagination Monster’ shoulder bag.

I love how she allowed the evening’s host brand to take the lead in her look, with the feathered-fringe jacket and whimsical bag receiving top billing against her white blouse with bell cuffs and skinny leather pants.

With a top knot to tie it all together, it was just right for a charming dinner party.

Her chic streak marches on.

Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 7th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 7th Annual Governors Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the presenters and guests who attended the 7th annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 14) in Los Angeles, California.

Cate Blanchett: Looking so very statuesque, the Australian actress wore an Armani Privé black asymmetrical modernistic with black velvet trousers. Her classic, yet modern look was styled with Casadei cut-out sandals.

Saoirse Ronan: The ‘Brooklyn’ actress brought some much needed colour to the event dressed in an Emilia Wickstead Fall 2015 pleated and printed frock styled with Alexander McQueen heels. I love the additional pop of pink to the lips.

Zooey Deschanel: While this Kate Spade New York colour-block fit and flare dress is perfectly in tune with Zooey’s style, I don’t feel it was quite right for this occasion. The look was styled with Wolford tights.

Olivia Wilde In Kate Spade New York & Houghton – Indie Contenders Roundtable

Olivia Wilde In Kate Spade New York & Houghton - Indie Contenders Roundtable

Olivia Wilde attended the Indie Contenders Roundtable presented by The Hollywood Reporter during AFI FEST 2015 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday (November 8) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Kate Spade New York bow-accented blouse paired with Houghton Fall 2015 windowpane-check trousers for a look that balanced feminine charm with mannish tailoring.

It was lovely to see how she transformed the runway presentation of the Houghton pants into a look that was less oversized and androgynous and more femininely refined.

Paul Andrew ‘Zenadia’ pumps lipstick-red suede pumps brought a subtle yet cleverly punchy finish to the ensemble.
