Hayley Atwell In Julien Macdonald - Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Hayley Atwell attended the Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London yesterday evening.

She wore a Julien Macdonald Spring 2014 white tulle gown with strategically placed feathers and embellishments which doesn’t work for me at all.

To start with, the dress doesn’t quite feel event appropriate for a theatre awards.

Like her last Julien Macdonald attention grabber, she’s a tad too well endowed for this dress, and the sparse feathers make her look half plucked.

When it comes to the styling, the red nails and lips are too stark for the look, and the gold jewels and Stark clutch don’t complement the silver embellishments on her dress.

It’s sadly an all-round no for me.

Nicole Scherzinger In Julien Macdonald - Sushi Samba Anniversary Party

Nicole Scherzinger attended the first-anniversary party of Sushi Samba in London yesterday evening.

Wearing a catsuit to end all catsuits, the going-commando trend continues with this Julien Macdonald Fall 2013 metallic-silver number with risqué cut-out panels accenting the sides and sleeves.
The look was styled with black pumps and oversized earrings.

With the high neckline perhaps she should’ve worn her hair up with this look, but I doubt anyone was admiring her tresses while she was wearing this getup, especially when she was dropping like its hot on the dance floor.

Lily Collins In Julien Macdonald - Glamour Magazine Women Of The Year 2013

Lily Collins was a vision in pale pink at Glamour’s 23rd annual Women of the Year awards in New York City yesterday evening.

The actress has recovered nicely — and quickly — from last week’s questionably Givenchy look with this particularly dazzling Julien Macdonald number. The Spring 2014 gown featured a plunging sheer front adorned with gold twig-like embellishments, dramatic leg slits, and sheer panels on the skirt, revealing just the right amount of skin and leaving a little mystery to be had as well.

Lily’s glamorous red-carpet choice was complemented by nude pumps, a bold berry-red lip colour, and her famously strong brows.

How do you feel about her latest look?

Lucy Hale In Julien Macdonald - 2013 CMA Awards

Lucy Hale attended the 47th annual CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee yesterday evening.

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star wore a Julien Macdonald Spring 2013 floaty layered grey-and-blush-coloured halter dress with a rise-and-fall hemline and a gold embellished neckline.

When we think of a Julien Macdonald dress we think of the look being overtly sexy, but here Lucy picked one of the designers tamer pieces which suits her sweet personality.

A selection of jewels from Joan Hornig, Dana Rebecca Designs and EF Collection plus a gold clutch and nude Ruthie Davis ‘West Palm’ sandals accessorized her look with a copper lip colour and side swept brunette waves providing the finishing touches.

Attitude Magazine Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other looks from the Attitude Magazine Awards held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London yesterday evening.

Abbey Clancy: The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star wore a black Julien Macdonald scoop-neck gown which I thought was fairly demure for the TV presenter – until I got halfway down her frock, which had sheer panels starting at her crotch.

Ellie Goulding: As always I find myself totally underwhelmed by the British singer. Even wearing this cut-out Roberto Cavalli gown with a thigh-high slit and uninspiring pumps, all I can think about is how bored I am with the same hair and makeup she works whenever she hits the red carpet.

Pixie Lott: A brown velvet onesie (I refuse to call this a jumpsuit) with animal print fur trims? Really?

Eliza Doolittle In Julien Macdonald - Attitude Magazine Awards

Eliza Doolittle attended the Attitude Magazine Awards held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London yesterday evening.

Like Myleene Klass, Eliza also opted for a sexy look. The difference is Myleene was just being sexy whereas Eliza was forcing the issue and trying way too hard.

Wearing a Julien MacDonald dress featuring a belly-grazing plunge and a central slit up to the inner thigh, one doesn’t need to pose in such a provocative way as the dress is already making the statement.

Had she reined in the pose, I could’ve applauded this risqué look.

Kurt Geiger London ‘Anja’ pumps and a butterfly accent clutch provided the finishing touches.
