Princess Beatrice In Jonathan Simkhai & Princess Eugenie In Erdem – Royal Ascot

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie both attended day 3 of the Royal Ascot – also known as Ascot Ladies Day — on Thursday (June 21) in England.

Princess Beatrice: It’s been a while since I really loved a look from the royal, and this monochromatic look Jonathan Simkhai is no different. The New York based fashion designer is known for his cutting edge designs, but this feels a bit frumpy on Beatrice. Out of the three who stuck to a simple black and white colour palette, only Ciara nailed her look. As you can see she gave her Pop & Suki box bag its third outing of the week.

Princess Eugenie: There was something a bit deja vu about this silk floral number from Erdem. As Erdem is Eugenie’s favourite designer, I guess her style is suddenly feeling all too familiar. The look was paired with a Sally-Ann Provan hat and studded shoes.

Jonathan Simkhai and Janet Mock celebrate International Women’s Day

Celebrities turned up to help Jonathan Simkhai and Janet Mock celebrate International Women’s Day on Thursday (March 8). The duo invited friends to a special dinner to participate in The Standard’s Ring Your Rep initiative, while benefiting Swing Left.

Nikki Reed: Demonstrating that sophistication and athleisure aren’t mutually exclusive, she projected a luxe casual air in a longline jacket and track bottoms. The tailoring and vertical white stripes had a flattering lengthening effect.

Jaime King: The actress reinvigorated classics with the sweeping hem of her Jonathan Simkhai trench coat encircling a pair of cropped blue jeans. Nicholas Kirkwood sliders added a pop of freshness and a modern finish.

Tasya van Ree: The artist toughened up a black button-down with the form-fitting trousers and vertiginous strappy shoes. The final flourish was her signature hat. It was sleek and chic.

2018 amfAR Gala New York Red Carpet Roundup

The glamour was at a high at the 2018 amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday (February 7) where lovely ladies joined Lucy Hale, Olivia Culpo and Halsey.

Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese beauty had a princess moment in Armani Privé Spring 2006. The glistening tulle was accented with the embellished straps. You’ll be forgiven for thinking that the Chopard jewels were part of the original look as they coordinate so perfectly.

Joan Smalls: Forgoing the glitzy gown, the model donned a Dolce & Gabbana suit with John Hardy jewels. The stark black piping against the muted brocade fabric creates a dynamic display of contrasts, but I wish she saved this ensemble for another event. Against the high octane dresses, it feels a touch out of place.

Coco Rocha: Projecting slinky glamour, the Canadian model showcased the pockets on her Greta Constantine Pre-Fall 2018 dress. There are details aplenty on the gown so I was thankful she lost the coordinating gloves from the lookbook version.

Rachel Brosnahan In Jonathan Simkhai – RUFFINO Wines + DANNIJO ‘Always Sparkling’ Dinner

Rachel Brosnahan attended the RUFFINO Wines + DANNIJO ‘Always Sparkling’ dinner which served as a pre New York Fashion Week event on Tuesday (February 6).

‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel ‘ actress tends to favour soft, pale hues (much to your disliking), but she looked beautiful wearing this baby blue dress from Jonathan Simkhai’s Spring 2018 collection.

I love how the inserts bring a contemporary feel to ladylike the silhouette, and how the molten-metallics of her Nicholas Kirkwood sandals and Dannijo jewels amp up the look for this after dark event.
