Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Hailee Steinfeld, a few other stars were at Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon on Saturday (November 18) in LA.

Kat Graham: Ever so coordinated to the day’s signage, Kat donned a John Galliano Spring 2018 suit. But, what I loved even more was the cool, preppy edge she brought to the tailoring with Gucci ‘Brixton’ horsebit loafers and a matching, cream hat. It was so relevant and effortless.

Machine Gun Kelly: I’m really intrigued by what the entertainer is bringing to the scene. With this OAMC parka jacket, cropped plaid pants, and Reebok classic sneakers, he’s colouring outside the lines of unconventional style, yet without an overly zany sense of try-hard. I would have just skipped the bathrobe sash.

Sabrina Carpenter: Even those this sheer No. 21 Spring 2018 dress had an element of sportiness in the hoodie detail, I found the belt and black Casadei boots to be too harsh of contrast for its more ethereal quality. The same goes for the makeup look.

‘Kidnap’ LA Premiere

The LA premiere of ‘Kidnap’ took place on Monday (July 31) with these three gorgeous ladies in attendance.

Halle Berry: We all know Halle is the girl for the big occasion, but her ‘9 to 5’ style rarely thrills me. Her loose blouse and Faith Connexion camouflage print skirt reads “let’s get this over with”, even with the addition of the Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals.

Peta Murgatroyd: The Latin dancer put in considerably more effort donning a hot-pink Mugler suit with a popped collar. I love how the white t-shirt and Prada accessories keep this look cool and summer fresh.

Malea Rose: Rounding out a trio of looks, Malea brought some glamour to the table wearing a John Galliano gown. Simple and elegant, yet I want to remove at least one of those XIVKarats bracelets.

What are your thoughts on these three looks, other than they appear to be attending three different events?

Lily Aldridge In Vintage John Galliano & Zac Posen – Bvlgari Festa Party

To celebrate the launch of its new ‘Festa’ High Jewellery collection, Bvlgari hosted a two-day fete in the heart of Venice, Italy, with beauties including model Lily Aldridge in attendance.

Thursday (June 29): While her vintage John Galliano gown was stunning in its streamlined silhouette and depth of hue, it really served as a canvas to elevate the striking multi-colour Bvlgari jewels even more. They even took my attention away from the slight creases in the dress, no doubt a result of her being seated. Giuseppe Zanotti sandals rounded out the look.

Friday (June 30): Breathtaking Bvlgari jewels were also the centre of attention in Lily’s second look, by which a Zac Posen Fall 2017 red gown provided equal dramatic power to the sparkle quotient. The crease factor was also slightly at play here, but what I loved about this look was its sculptural prowess that was echoed in the curve of the necklace and her sleek bun.

Noah Cyrus In John Galliano – 2017 Billboard Music Awards

Noah Cyrus attended the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 21) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You may be surprised to learn that this look hails from the John Galliano Spring 2017 collection and not Alexander Wang.

Well, it looks like Galliano maybe trying to add an urban formula into is usual feminine aesthetic, as this look is bursting with street-cool impression with a slight unruly edge which doesn’t push too many boundaries or take this down a tacky path.

Chen Shu In John Galliano – ‘The Martian’ London Premiere

Chen Shu In John Galliano - 'The Martian' London Premiere

Chen Shu joined co-stars Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig and Jessica Chastain attended ‘The Martian’ premiere at Odeon Leicester Square on Thursday (September 24) in London, England.

The actress was the epitome of enchanting evening elegance, donning a striking John Galliano Fall 2015 cherry-red gown featuring one billowing sleeve.

Some might only find this appealing in motion, but I have to give credit to Che Shu for keeping this look interesting with her styling.
