The Jil Sander Spring 2013 collection can be summed up in a few words: simple, clean lines.
Jil, who returned to her namesake line in February after eight years, reminded us of her signature design aesthetic by serving up tailored separates, sleeveless dresses, oversized blazers, tulip skirts, A-line coats and pinafores, with plenty of cocoon shapes and oversized pockets on a mostly black, white, navy and maroon colour palette with the odd pop of red.
I loved a lot of this collection, but my favourites were presented towards the end with a selection of white pieces accented with iridescent polka dots.
Pale faced models sported a center-parted ponytail.
Key accessories included wristlet clutches, booties and two-tone knee-high boots with an asymmetrical zipper.
Front Row: Anna Dello Russo
Favourites: White shirt paired with white polka-dot skirt and white bell-sleeve blouse with red tulip skirt
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman, Leelee Sobieski, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett
