The Art of Elysium’s 3rd Annual Gala “Heaven”

This is an incredibly long post, so please click ‘read more…’ below to see the rest of the looks from this amazingly well dressed event.

I was starting to lose hope that I would ever see this amazing Marchesa Fall 2009 dress on the red carpet.

Olivia Wilde has fulfilled my wish by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing the strapless nude suede dress.

I love those embroidered floral details, the complementary taupe clutch and her nude Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps.

I don’t know much about Amber Heard, but I’m really impressed with her on the red carpet and shocked that she always manages to wear such big name designers.

Last night she looked sensational wearing this red Christian Dior Spring 2010 belted gown with a chiffon bodice and a satin skirt.

Since Charlize Theron has been M.I.A. on the red carpet in a while, I guess John Galliano might have been looking for an interim muse.

It’s not often we see 3 great Dior Spring 2010 looks in the space of 2 days.

Miss Dior herself – Marion Cotillard wore Dior to the Critic’s Choice Awards on Friday, then Chloe Sevigny wore Dior to the NY Times Style Magazine’s Pre-Golden Globe Awards Party on Saturday.

It’s always a pleasure to see Camilla Belle on the red carpet.

The actress wore a grey Valentino Spring 2010 dress with a satin bow detail on the hip.

I love the way the cape and skirt fan out.  It would’ve been amazing to watch this dress in motion.

I’m not sure about those stunning heels with the dress, but the heels are divine on their own.

On Friday I was worried that after Apphia Michael wore Viktor & Rolf to the Wallpaper Design Awards, that we would only get to see these pieces from this Spring 2010 collection inside magazines.

Anna Paquin delights us by wearing a strapless pink tulle dress with exaggerated hips.

She also blows my theory that only one of each look was ever made for this collection, as hers is pink to the runway’s grey and blue.

An Alexander McQueen knuckle duster clutch, Boucheron diamond studs, a Tom Binns necklace and black gladiator heels complete her look.Read More…

Audi Celebrate The Golden Globes With Nominee Anna Paquin

This event was held for Anna Paquin, but I was in lust Dita von Teese.

The burlesque star stole Anna’s thunder looking exquisite wearing a baby blue corset dress with a cone-shaped bra from Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2010 ‘G Spot’ collection.

I think we are going to see a lot of this “underwear as outerwear” trend popping up on the red carpet.

Let’s pray it’s continues to be tastefully done.

I’m very much appreciating the hairstyle change and those stunning blue earrings.

Yet another BDOTW contender. It’s getting packed already and it’s only Monday.

Anna Paquin looked nice and neat wearing a fitted navy sheath Gianfranco Ferré dress, accented with a lavender sash tied to the waist.

Her sash was complemented by a lavender crystallized Gianfranco Ferrè clutch and Jil Sander platform heels.

Dita and Anna maybe worlds apart in the style stakes, but they both look fantastic.

Stylist Liz Goldwyn wore a sexy Gianni Versace LBD, with criss cross leather straps with jeweled buckles from the Bondage 1992 Couture collection.

Runway To BET’s 106 & Park – Rihanna In Jean Paul Gaultier

Rihanna continues to promotion her new album ‘Rated R’ with a visit to BET’s 106 & Park to perform new single ‘Hard’.

Normally I can get over the crazy looks Rihanna wears pretty quickly, but I have a feeling this horror will be etched in my memory for a long while because this has to be the worst she has ever looked.

The Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 dungarees are incredibly unflattering, as they are in the style of harem pants.

Then she adds a hairnet into the equation, plus fishnet gloves and multiple chains and D&G boots.

I wouldn’t even clean my house in this get up. *shakes head*

Nobel Peace Prize Concert

This weekend in Norway the Smith family were the hosts of the Nobel Peace Prize Concert honouring President Obama.

What a truly genetically blessed family they are, from Will Smith to Willow Smith.

Although I’m devastated that her parents thought it was a good idea to shave half of her hair.

The boys wore velvet suits, whilst the girls wore gowns.

Willow wore a cute white and black gown, whilst Mummy – Jada Pinkett-Smith looked stunning wearing a burnt orange J.Mendel Fall 2009 gown with a classy updo.

I love how Jada styled her gown, which was presented as a one-shoulder gown on the runway.

Her version was less sexy and more appropriate for the occasion.

Natasha Bedingfield was one of the many performers at this concert.

She opted for an electric blue Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 criss cross halter dress paired with silver heels.

Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit enjoyed the concert looking beautiful wearing a maroon Prada dress which Reese Witherspoon wore in black back in March.

Runway To X Factor Week 5 – Cheryl Cole In Jean Paul Gaultier & Marios Schwab

On Saturday I couldn’t help but be disappointed watching Cheryl Cole walked onto the X Factor stage.

After her bold David Koma statement dress, her Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 sheath dress was tame in comparison.

I can only believe that the criticism of last weeks choice got to her.

Her JPG dress was instantly recognisable by the X on the bodice, which was featured on many pieces in the Fall 2009 collection.

Her dress appeared to be modified slightly from the runway, as her dress was embellished with black crystals to allow the dress to sparkle on screen.

She paired her dress with black platforms.

The dress was just OK, but the hairstyle felt very dated.

She should’ve pulled it back to show off the X and details on her dress.

I loved Cheryl’s burst of colour on Sunday nights show.

The judge wore a Marios Schwab shift dress with crystal-embellishments in an opening in the bodice from the Fall 2009 collection.

She interesting paired her dress with nude heels.

Again I had a problem with the hair.  On Saturday night it felt to dated, whereas her hair on Sunday nights show looked like the stylist got his inspiration from a local school playground.

You may remember that Sienna Miller wore a watered down and nearly unrecognisable version of this dress earlier this year.

Runway To MTV Studios – Lady GaGa In Jean Paul Gaultier

From your comments yesterday it’s clear that Lady GaGa is the equivalent of Marmite.

You either love her or hate her, and the feelings are very strong on both sides.

The eccentric star was spotted making her way to the MTV studios in New York City yesterday to promote her album “The Fame Monster”.

She looked the most normal I have seen her in a while dressed in a black Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 strapless dress accessorized with an Erickson Beamon necklace/belt contraption.

GaGa arrived at the MTV studio’s to appear on the Alexa Chung show. You can watch her interview here.

Lady GaGa also stopped by the BET studios to visit hosts Terrence and Rocsi on “BET’s 106 & Park”.

The singer wore another JPG look, this time it was a nude leotard with the cone-shaped bra which was made famous by Madonna.

She also wore her fish-net tights and John Galliano heels again.

Her interview for this show can be watched here.
