Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Angie Harmon was glowing like an Oscar statue at the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball which took place at Cipriani 42nd Wall Street in New York City last night.

The actress wore a Jean Fares Couture gown.

Her beaded silver and gold ombre gown feels very Las Vegas showgirl and doesn’t feel quite in tune with the evening and the rest of the attendees.

Whilst Angie would’ve wanted to stand out as the host, I think she does it for all the wrong reasons.

I can picture Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton in this look.

Angie can do better than this.

Carrie Underwood was the host of the 2011 CMA Awards.

She arrived in Reem Acra, but she went onto have 8 costume changes whilst hosting the show.

One of my favourite looks was this Zuhair Murad Resort 2012 gown.

The heavenly floral-print gown with a rise-and-fall hemline also features a beaded detail at the waist.

Her ultra-feminine look was teamed with a cutesy pink hair accessory which I didn’t favour.

Best Earrings Award
Marcia Cross made a long awaited return to the red carpet at the 2011 ALMA Awards last night.

The Desperate Housewives star supported her co-star Eva Longoria, who was the host on the night.

Marcia looked breath-taking wearing a Jean Fares Couture gown.

The navy lace strapless gown with a sweet-heart neckline and bow accent was paired with most dazzling berry earrings which was complemented by a matching cuff.

That gorgeous red hair was swept over one shoulder as she completed her look with glossy lips and smoky eyes.

I wish the clutch had either matched the colour of her earrings or been navy blue.

A navy blue embellished Swarovski clutch completes her look and she gets a perfect 10 from me.

Michelle Rodriguez wowed me at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during 2011 Cannes Film Festival this evening.

I make that twice in one year.

The actress seems to be taking the red carpet more seriously these days, which was perfectly showcased by her wearing this Jean Fares Couture gown tonight.

I love the pretty pink colour on her. I don’t think she’s ever worn anything this delicate.

The open back dress looks to be paying an homage to Celine Dion’s Oscar tuxedo don’t you think?

As well as having embellished pockets, the gown also has embellishments cascading down the back.

I have to say I love this effort from her, despite the gown being too long at the front.

Most Disappointing Award
Carrie Underwood is the other singer I look to for something special at Country Music Awards, but at the 2011 Academy Of Country Music Awards she failed me.

The blonde singer wore a purple Jean Fares Couture gown which does nothing for me or her.

The gown with embellished with jeweled pockets is gorgeous on the model, but falls flat Carrie as it’s too old fashioned for her.

This gown would look great on Paris Hilton or Victoria Silvstedt, but it’s not a look I favour for Carrie.

I don’t hate it, but I’m far from being impressed by this look.

One-Of-A-Kind Award
Essence Atkins arrived at the 2011 NAACP Image Awards wearing a one-of-a-kind Jean Fares Couture gown.

The “Are We There Yet?” actress sparkled on the red carpet in a silver sequin one shoulder gown, with hints of bronze sequins on the shoulder and side of the gown.

It’s a nice enough gown, but I’m far from being wowed by this look.

The gown wants to be dramatic, but it’s doesn’t quite get there.
