Elizabeth Banks In Jason Wu – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ After-Party

Elizabeth Banks In Jason Wu - ‘The Hunger Games Catching Fire’ After-Party

Elizabeth Banks joined Jennifer Lawrence at the Royal Courts of Justice in London for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ after-party following the photocall and world premiere earlier in the day.

The actress, who you deemed best dressed at the premiere by an overwhelming majority, opted for Jason Wu again, swapping her ballgown for this party-perfect pale-sage metallic organza bias-draped layered frock from the Spring 2014 collection.

Opting to keep the same hairstyle, she decided upon a lighter lip colour on this occasion, selecting a shimmering nude hue which matched her Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps.

I already can’t wait to see what she wears to the Berlin premiere this evening.

Elizabeth Banks In Jason Wu – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ World Premiere

Elizabeth Banks In Jason Wu - 2013 London Hunger Games Premiere

Elizabeth Banks brought a veritable ray of sunshine to the UK premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ hosted this evening at Odeon Leicester Square in London.

The actress completely commanded the red carpet in her bold and beautiful, custom-made Jason Wu strapless confection, a yellow extravaganza of a glam ball gown that still served up sexy appeal with its peekaboo side cutouts.

But it was really the dress’s bright, zesty citron shade—a delicious lemon curd of a hue—that stole the show, so much so that too much added sparkle would have been an unnecessary distraction.

So, Elizabeth maintained a more minimal jewelry approach, wearing just an on-trend Gaydamak hand cuff and a Jacob & Co. ring, also accessorizing with a Nancy Gonzalez clutch and Brian Atwood heels. She polished off the look with a sleek, side-parted updo and a coral-red lip.

Jaime King In Jason Wu – 2nd Annual Baby2Baby Gala

Jaime King In Jason Wu - 2nd Annual Baby2Baby GalaNew mom Jaime King also stepped out for the 2nd Annual Baby2Baby Gala at The Book Bindery in Culver City, California on Saturday evening.

The ‘Hart of Dixie’ actress, who gave birth to her son just about a month ago, literally sparkled in her enviable post-baby bod, wearing a shimmering, sheer-effect Jason Wu Spring 2014 metallic-laced frock.

She complemented the glamorous bias-cut, slip dress with even more sparkle via an unnecessary choker necklace and a few bangles, along with a spit-slick high ponytail.

But, without throwing on the runway’s trench coat, it’s almost as if she otherwise tried to dial down the dazzle with her more casual shoe selection. Still, the black and cream, ankle- and toe-strap sandals just seemed at odds with the rest of the look.

Motherhood is obviously agreeing with Jaime, as she looks stunning. But the ensemble itself feels a bit overwrought and over-the-top for the occasion.

Too glittery or not?

Julianne Moore In Jason Wu – ‘Don Jon’ New York Premiere

Julianne Moore In Jason Wu - 'Don Jon' New York Premiere

Julianne Moore joined Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet at SVA Theater yesterday evening for the ‘Don Jon’ New York premiere.

Opting for a striking black gown from Jason Wu’s Resort 2014 collection, the short-sleeved frock featured a sheer bodice and botanical embroidery which is the first thing to catch your eye.

Adding just a gold Fred Leighton bangle, a sophisticated updo provided the finishing touch to her chic red carpet look.

NYFW Spring 2014 Red Carpet Wish List Part II

NYFW1

Alexander Wang: Zoe Kravitz is a huge fan of Alexander Wang, so the question when looking at the collection was ‘What would Zoe wear?’ My choices were somewhat limited due to the amount of colour on display as Zoe loves to wear black, so I settled on this black strappy dress with a flared skirt. I hope she proves me wrong and selects something other than black from this collection.

Altuzarra: Allison Williams is always a goodie two-shoes on the red carpet. I would love to see her in this sexy, slightly undone look to spice up her red carpet game.

Reese Witherspoon In Jason Wu – ‘The Devil’s Knot’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Jason Wu - 'The Devil's Knot' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Reese Witherspoon attended ‘The Devil’s Knot’ premiere during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival at The Elgin on Sunday in Toronto, Canada.

The blonde actress wore a Jason Wu Resort 2014 botanical-printed wrinkled-chiffon dress featuring a strappy front with a deep v-neck and a solid satin A-line waistband.

It’s been a long while since I have been excited about a Reese Witherspoon red carpet look but this look really makes me go week at the knees, especially when styled so beautifully with those green Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps, Tiffany & Co jewels and her black Jason Wu ‘Karlie’ clutch.

To completed her look her blonde hair was twisted at the nape of her neck for a more adventurous style than we are used too from Reese.

Thumbs up all-around.

Front Row @ Jason Wu Spring 2014

Designer Jason Wu’s always anticipated NYFW show took place yesterday, and as usual, his front row was graced by several notable ladies.

Jessica Pare: The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a Jason Wu Resort 2014 lace overlay illusion dress and looked every bit the Wu posterchild in the sleek and chic ensemble.

Maria Sharapova: The tennis star paired her long-sleeved Jason Wu dress with black peep-toe booties and Joan Hornig earrings.

Alicia Keys: The singer also wore black, and her Jason Wu short-sleeve dot-yoke peplum top paired with a black pencil skirt was playful and flattering.

Jason Wu for Lancôme

Jason Wu for Lancome

It was no surprise back in February when news broke that designer Jason Wu would be collaborating with Lancôme on a cosmetics line–after all, the designer has never shied away from bright colours and distinct beauty looks at his runway shows. And while it’s been a long wait to see what the color genius would offer, the wait is over, now that the Nordstrom-exclusive cosmetics line has debuted (timed to coincide with New York Fashion Week).

The 15-piece collection offers classic, feminine colours and several nods to Wu’s favorite accent colour–blue–in fact, the collection’s sole mascara is navy blue–playing perfectly to both Wu’s aesthetic and the current trend of coloured mascara.

The entire collection is packaged in another Wu-signature hue–gray, and features the Jason Wu logo and the Lancôme rose.

And more good news? Although this collection is limited edition, Wu has already created a second collection set to debut some time in 2014.

You can shop the Jason Wu for Lancôme collection exclusively at Nordstrom.com.
