Gerard Butler & Bradley Cooper – Wimbledon Men’s Final

Gerard Butler & Bradley Cooper - Wimbledon Men’s Final

It wasn’t just the women who were sitting pretty while attending the Men’s Singles Final between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London on Sunday afternoon; the guys looked pretty handsome too.

Gerard Butler: The Scottish actor cheered on his fellow countryman wearing a slick Hugo Boss suit. The look featured a chambray blazer, white shirt and white trousers styled with a navy tie, polka-dot pocket square and brown shoes. I’m struggling to love the brown shoes. Navy or some loafers would’ve been preferred.

Bradley Cooper: The American actor opted for a more classic look, wearing various shades of grey including a two-button notched-lapel suit and a striped tie, with black lace-up shoes providing the finishing touches.

Nicole Scherzinger In Hugo Boss – X Factor Cardiff Auditions

Nicole Scherzinger In Hugo Boss - X Factor Cardiff Auditions

Nicole Scherzinger looked super tanned and in good spirits yesterday afternoon while attending the X Factor Cardiff auditions, despite reports of her recent break up with Lewis Hamilton.

The judge arrived at the Mercure Holland House Hotel wearing a bright-red Hugo Boss trouser suit from the brand’s 20th anniversary collection which matched her lippie.

Possibly to distract us from the fact that her pants are way too long, the singer decided to wear her white Theory ‘Malory’ tank top as a crop top, with a selection of gold necklaces and Saint Laurent ‘Janis’ platform pumps completing the look.

Had she chosen to crop the pants and opt for sexy sandals I would have been more inclined to like this look.

BOSS Shanghai Fashion Show

BOSS Shanghai Fashion Show

HUGO BOSS hosted a spectacular event in Shanghai. The museum “Power Station of Art” venued an impressive fashion show presenting the BOSS Mens- and Womenswear Collections for Winter 2013.
They invited several guests from around the globe.

Carey Mulligan: The British actress posed alongside Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, CEO of Hugo Boss, wearing a BOSS all-black look featuring a blazer, a satin-trimmed bustier and tapered pants, with her favourite Brian Atwood ‘Aida’ sandals and a red lip colour completing her look. This is a really chic look; however, I wish she would wear a colour other than black.

Michelle Chen: The actress obliged, wearing a bold orange-hued strapless BOSS gown with a bronze clutch, which is in total contrast to the all-black look worn by Carey.

Gerard Butler: The handsome actor looked very dapper decked out in a classic BOSS black suit. I would’ve loved it had he selected one of the more colourful suits which were presented in this show.

‘Olympus Has Fallen’ LA Premiere Menswear Round Up

‘Olympus Has Fallen’ LA Premiere Menswear Round Up

On Monday night, the cast of ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ took to the red capret at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California for the LA premiere. Colour coordinating their looks, each of the four male leads arrived wearing navy suits.

Gerard Butler: After looking dapper in a three-piece suit at the New York premiere, the star of the film opted to put a small twist on a similar look. He stuck with the three-piece Brioni suit, but chose navy and a different type of waistcoat. The waistcoat was double-breasted and featured a shawl collar, while the suit itself was a typical two-button suit with peak lapels. He cleanly finished the look with a white shirt, navy tie, and black lace-up shoes.

Morgan Freeman: The classic actor donned a classic look with a few of his own personal accessories. His navy-notch lapel Brioni suit fit well, though I wish the pants were a bit shorter, and it matched nicely with his widely-knotted yellow tie. To give it his own attitude, Morgan added a pair of sunglasses and his earrings. He is also still forced to wear his white compression glove due to the car accident in 2008.

Aaron Eckhart: The 45-year-old actor, also in a navy two-button suit by BOSS, switched it up by styling his look with brown wingtip shoes instead of black shoes. Aaron looked great in a tailored suit with a white shirt and blue tie.

Rick Yune: In a lighter shade of navy, Rick cleaned up very well in a slim-fit, two-button suit. Along with the suit, he wore a white shirt and a blue tie with diagonal stripes. He also sported matching suede shoes, of which I wasn’t a big fan; that would have been a good place to give a pop of black or brown colour.

I couldn’t believe all four of them wore navy suits. Someone needed to step out of the box here. My favourite look was between Gerard and Rick, but I’m going to go with Rick because Gerard’s waistcoat was too distracting for me.

Eva Longoria In Boss – Conde Nast Traveler Celebrates The Leading Hotels Of The World 85th Anniversary

Eva Longoria In Boss - Conde Nast Traveler Celebrates The Leading Hotels Of The World 85th Anniversary

Eva Longoria suited up for Conde Nast Traveller’s celebration of The Leading Hotels Of The World 85th Anniversary, held at Mr. C in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

The actress, who we are more used to seeing don a pretty frock on the red carpet, wore a Boss ‘Jiana’ suit on this occasion.

The tuxedo-inspired blush suit was styled with a pale-pink Monika Chiang shirt with a black leather collar.

I can get behind the black Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps, but the patent-leather envelope clutch is too big and heavy for her look and her voluminous ponytail doesn’t quite work with the slick nature of the look.
Nude glossy lips and diamond stud earrings provided the finishing touches.

Do you like Eva’s menswear-inspired look?

2013 Grammy Awards Menswear Round Up

Grammys Mens 1

While the Grammys are always a stage for wild fashion from the women’s side, the men typically tend to stay on the classic side – with a few exceptions, of course. The menswear always has a lot of diversity, ranging from dapper to disgusting. This year featured a lot of monochromatic looks and, unfortunately, a lot of bad tailoring.

Justin Timberlake: He’s back and he’s looking better than ever. Suiting up in collaboration with Tom Ford was clearly a wondrous decision. Justin made his return to the Grammys wearing an impeccably tailored Tom Ford black tuxedo with a hip twist on the jacket. His shawl collar was matched with a white-edged black pocket square and a droopy black bow tie. What made this outfit so perfect, though, was the way he was able to honour the old school while staying so modern. He kept his look classic with the black studs on his shirt, those amazing black-and-white loafers, and white dress socks. And he even wore a black cummerbund. He’s easily my best dressed of the Grammys.

Frank Ocean: Prior to performing at the Grammys wearing a custom yellow Band of Outsiders tuxedo, Frank wore a Dior Homme navy wool broadcloth Teddy jacket with silver buttons, paired with a navy wool and silk round neck sleeveless sweater, and navy wool broadcloth slim pants for the red carpet. Both looks showcased his cool, laid-back style.

Ed Sheeran: The red-haired English singer gave a grand performance on stage, but not so much on the red carpet. Ed wore a poorly tailored Burberry navy tuxedo with a two-toned notch lapel. The problem was that his tux fit terribly: the waist was not tailored; the sleeves and pants were too long; and those shoes did not work. I’m all for sneakers with a suit, and I like those particular sneakers, but the rest of his outfit is so bad that it distracts from his shoes. A little more effort next time, Ed.

2013 SAG Awards Menswear Round Up

2013 SAG Awards Menswear Round UpWith gowns galore parading down awards-gala red carpets, it’s always hard to focus on the tuxes—no matter how handsome they and their inhabitants are. But at the 2013 SAG Awards, hosted last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, the men had their moment. Like many of the girls, some of the guys played with color—albeit to mixed success. But it all made for a far more entertaining and colorful show.

Eddie Redmayne: The ‘Les Miserables’ star continues to deliver great red-carpet performances. The British actor carried off a slimly tailored tuxedo by BOSS Black, rendered in a luxe brown, crushed velvet. He paired it with a white shirt and matching dress shoes from the label. In a sea of black and blue, this delicious chocolate color was a smooth statement—so was Eddie’s cool-boy coif.

Bradley Cooper: The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor and nominee chose Tom Ford for his big night. The midnight navy color of his single-breasted tux, featuring a black satin shawl collar, reminded me of some of the similarly colored gowns seen last night, such as the one from Jennifer Lawrence. I wish his black bow tie didn’t appear crooked, throwing the polish of this look awry.

Cory Monteith: This ‘Glee’ cutie stepped outside the norm with his Calvin Klein tuxedo paired with a sleek set of black Christian Louboutin loafers. His cufflinks and tie bar were by Ox and Bull Trading Co. and his timepiece from Versace. The exaggerated peak lapel in black contrasted sharply with the light heather grey of the single-breasted jacket. But was Cory red-carpet-royalty or just prom-king ready?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Lucy Liu In Carolina Herrera, Emily Blunt In Michael Kors & Eddie Redmayne In Hugo Boss

BDOTW

Your favourite this week, by one per cent, was Lucy Liu’s Carolina Herrera strapless floral ball gown, which she wore to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

You loved the bold floral print, her styling of this look and the fact that the petite actress had so much fun posing and walking around like a princess in her gown.

My favourite, by far, was Emily Blunt. Her Michael Kors gold lace gown with sexy cut-outs fit her like a glove and was one of the few refreshing looks in a sea of fairly predictable gowns.

Top that off with some stunning ruby jewels and flawless makeup and I was completely in awe of her breathtaking Globes look.

HUGO_FASHION_SHOW_MBFW_2013_21

When it came to the fellas, there was no such divide in opinions. Eddie Redmayne, the golden boy of red carpet menswear dressing, has pretty much dominated this poll since its inception.

We clearly can’t get enough of his dapper slim-fit suits. On this occasion, he won wearing an ink-blue Hugo Boss suit.
