Toni Garrn In BOSS – ‘Isle of Dogs’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Toni Garrn was back home for the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany this evening (February 15), where she took to the red carpet for the opening ceremony and ‘Isle of Dogs’ premiere.

This time last year, I was having heart palpitations and adding her gold BOSS look to my BDOTY list, this time around I’m admiring how she shimmered the night away in her chic monochrome sequined BOSS look, even though I didn’t get a repeat of the butterflies.

While I found Toni’s sleek accessories courtesy of Bulgari’s jewels sufficient, I feel it may not be enough to keep many intrigued.

2018 SAG Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Many of the fellows at the 2018 SAG Awards weren’t content to just wear the standard black tux, making for quite the scene-stealing list of looks on Sunday (January 21) in LA.

Noah Schnapp: The young ‘Stranger Things’ star continued to win my affection with a lesson in all that is dapper in his custom-made velvet tuxedo by Stella McCartney paired with Jésù-SégunLondon slipper-style shoes, a Brackish bowtie, and Mrs Bow Tie pocket square. What a charmer.

Sterling K. Brown:
The ‘This Is Us’ star won the best actor award, and his look was equally stellar in this Giorgio Armani tuxedo styled with a Chopard timepiece and cufflinks. This was a lesson in the appeal of classic style with a modern twist thanks to the shades and the slim-line, slightly cropped proportions.

Dacre Montgomery:
I liked this Giorgio Armani ensemble for its unorthodox twist on the traditional tux in the chocolate-brown hue and exaggerated shawl label. Wearing his dress shirt unbuttoned at the top added a rebellious flavour that actually echoed his ‘Stranger Things’ character quite well. Montblanc cufflinks completed the look.

HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more style darlings were at the HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Wednesday (November 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Serinda Swan: This Styland ensemble brought every bit of smoldering sizzle we’d expect from a hot-red gown except manifested in a suit, and I loved every minute of it—especially with the matching red lip and handbag.

Andrea Riseborough:
The event saw Andrea reinvent her look again, as she rocked a new Galaxina hairstyle with an equally galactic metallic jumpsuit. Directional makeup and decorative wrist cuffs completed the look that may split the vote—but I think we can all agree that there will be no boredom with this punchy, experimental look.

Olivia Culpo: Some may fault the visible cups underneath this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2018 gown. But, the wispy beauty of the tulle and its glinting embellishment had a sense of enchantment, regardless.

Gabrielle Union Promotes ‘We’re Gonna Need More Wine’

Gabrielle Union has been promoting her new memoir, ‘We’re Gonna Need More Wine’, in New York City over the past two days, leaving us spoiled for choice with her six different statement-making looks.

Mixing bold patterns is not for the faint of fashion heart, but here Gabrielle shows us precisely how it’s done in a checkered Hugo Boss outfit paired with a Stella Jean coat. Despite the wide-leg trousers and sweepingly long coat, the proportions all played together so well. A Michael Kors Collection bag provided a sophisticated finish.

For her second ensemble, in which she was seen outside the ‘Good Morning America’ studios, she made me look at chambray in a whole new sexy light with this Gabriela Hearst Spring 2018 dress. The patchwork effect of the Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 trench coat brought extra attitude to the look, which was imbued with an urban-western sense of glamour. Gabriela Hearst ‘Peter’ shoes and the Gabriela Hearst ‘Nina’ bag completed the effect.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s a look at the men who have recently walked the red carpet.

Chris Hemsworth: At the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ premiere in LA on Tuesday (October 10), Chris was casually sophisticated in a Hugo Boss blue suit that he wore so effortlessly with his unbuttoned dress shirt and burgundy Christian Louboutin ‘Greggo’ shoes.

Jamie Bell: At the ‘Six Days’ London premiere during the BFI London Film Festival, Jamie dressed in a Burberry suit that was traditional but polished.

Tom Hiddleston: I was in love with this Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 red and light-blue windowpane ‘Monaco’ notch-lapel suit—not only for its sartorially handsome spirit, but also because it was something different than the standard red-carpet suit. Colourwise and style-wise, it looked so sharp and smart on Tom at the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ premiere. Christian Louboutin ‘Roadie’ boots completed his look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here, a look at what the men have been up to on the red carpet lately.

Andrew Garfield: Joining Claire Foy for the ‘Breathe’ premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday (October 4), Andrew couldn’t have looked more dapper if he tried in this Tom Ford tuxedo. There’s just something about the classic refinement of a tailored-to-perfection tux that gets me every time.

Winston Duke: The actor also made the honourable list of People’s ‘Ones To Watch,’ where he joined Paris Jackson for the celebration in LA on Wednesday (October 4). With this Hugo Boss suit and pops of burnt-orange accessories, he proved his style is something to look out for, too.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Jake has been making waves as the handsome new face of Eternity by Calvin Klein, but on Tuesday (October 3), he brought his eternally fine form to the ‘Stronger’ premiere during the 13th Zurich Film Festival. This Gucci midnight-navy suit checked the box—and blue is most certainly his colour—but I would have loved to see him push the envelope just a bit more.
