Diane Kruger In Hugo Boss – 2014 Met Gala

Diane Kruger In Hugo Boss - 2014 Met Gala

I was wondering if Diane Kruger was starting to lose her edge following her last red carpet look, but she dialled up the glamour for the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

Wearing Hugo Boss, her ice-blue fully embellished gown with Bauhaus-inspired embroidery and a pleated overlay was both magical and heavenly.

Styled with a complementary Edie Parker ‘Jean’ pearl-white clutch, she completed her look with glossy lips and smouldering eye makeup.

Solange Knowles & Margot Robbie In Hugo Boss – Boss Hong Kong Grand Opening

Solange Knowles & Margot Robbie In Hugo Boss - Hugo Boss Hong Kong Grand Opening

HUGO BOSS hosted an event to celebrate the grand openings of its two new BOSS Stores at Central Building and on Canton Road in Hong Kong.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the openings was attended by Solange Knowles and Margot Robbie.

Solange Knowles: Still working that directional ‘fro, the singer donned a shimmering gold filled jacquard sleeveless Boss dress from the Fall 2014 collection. The pops of red really enliven the look, giving it an edge. The rest of the styling included a black box Rauwolf clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ black sandals.

Margot Robbie: The actress’s look was considerably more classic, working a timeless old-Hollywood screen-siren look. She also wore a Boss dress from the Fall 2014 collection; the black embroidered mesh design cut at a modest tea length was styled with black pumps, a black clutch, IPPOLITA’s Stardust branch reef ring and a punchy pink lip, which is definitely the trend of the week.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Jennifer Connelly In Givenchy Couture & Douglas Booth In Hugo Boss

Best Dressed Of The Week - Jennifer Connelly In Givenchy Couture & Douglas Booth In Hugo Boss

Jennifer Connelly in her stunning Givenchy Couture gown was the runaway winner, taking 50% of the votes this week, and no doubt she made it onto several BDOTY lists.

The only person who came even marginally close to her this week was Emmy Rossum.

When it came to the guys the race was a little more closely fought, with Chris Evans and Douglas Booth battling it out, with Douglas’s Hugo Boss look the eventual victor.

So the best-dressed cast on the red carpet this week goes to ‘Noah’, will they win best dressed cast of 2014?

‘Noah’ Berlin Premiere Menswear Roundup

'Noah' Germany Premiere

Here is a quick roundup of the ‘Noah’ Berlin premiere, where Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman joined co-stars Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson on the red carpet at the Zoo Palast.

Douglas Booth: The British actor was feeling blue once again, wearing a Hugo Boss two-button suit styled with an open Hugo Boss white shirt and Boss ‘Carmons’ black lace-up shoes. Would you have preferred this look with a tie, or do you love this more laidback approach?

Logan Lerman: Working several shades of grey, the young actor wore a Prada Uomo Spring 2014 grey two-button suit with a charcoal stretch-popeline shirt and a slate-grey kid-mohair tie.

Both looks work perfectly for the actors, plus I love the contrasting styles; however, I love how Emma and Douglas were so well colour-coordinated.

Reese Witherspoon In Hugo Boss – Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Reese Witherspoon In Hugo Boss - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Reese Witherspoon attended the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday (March 2) in West Hollywood, California.

Usually I find her style to be a tad mumsy, but between her Giambattista Valli look at the Film Independent Spirit Awards and this sexy Hugo Boss Fall 2014 plunging neckline dress, she’s making me eat my words.

Reese styled her black-and-grey paillette embroidered silk dress with Christian Louboutin black sandals, Irene Neuwirth earrings and a Roger Vivier ‘Cerniera’ clutch.

Sexy and chic. Do you agree?

Film Independent Spirit Awards 2014 Menswear Roundup

Film Independent Spirit Awards 2014 Menswear Roundup 1With a myriad of menswear looks on the blue carpet, the guys mostly nixed the standard black suit in favour of more colourful options at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California yesterday (March 1). Not that I was complaining.

Matthew McConaughey: Taking his flashy jackets to another level, the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor and Best Male Lead winner wore an allover metallic bronze three-piece suite by Dolce & Gabbana. Skipping the tie, an unbuttoned black button-down shirt had nothing on those attention-grabbing, cobalt-blue Tod’s shoes. Do you like the razzle-dazzle here?

Jared Leto: Like Matthew, Jared picked up a win for his work in ‘Dallas Buyers Club.’ The actor-musician was dressed in his standard rocker-grunge edge wearing separates including a black leather biker Balmian Homme jacket and black skinny jeans. Of course, a shirt was tied around his waist—this time, a red plaid Saint Laurent one—and he topped off the look with a black-and-white striped scarf and black Giuseppe Zanotti combat boots.

Michael B Jordan: The always-sharp dresser didn’t disappoint in his cream-coloured Dolce & Gabbana suit, paired with a quirky printed button-down shirt, a black pocket square, black brogues and a rose-gold Piaget watch. The ‘Fruitvale Station’ actor always manages to combine sartorial polish with a punch of attitude.
