Emma Watson In Christian Dior & BOSS – HeForShe Campaign Launch & After-Party

Emma Watson In Christian Dior & BOSS - HeForShe Campaign Launch & After-Party

Emma Watson attended two events on Saturday (September 20) for the HeForShe campaign held at the United Nations in New York City following her appointment as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

If I were Emma, when picking out my looks for these events I would’ve been thinking, what would fellow UN ambassador Angelina Jolie do? Tailored, conservative, muted colours and non-revealing.

Emma did all those things, adding chic into the equation.

HeForShe Campaign Launch: The first look was a Dior Resort 2015 heather-grey silk coat dress accented with a Dior silver-metal belt. The asymmetrical hemline adds a modern feel to the classic look, with the impeccable tailoring giving the piece a couture-like feel. Simple black Jimmy Choo ‘Abel’ pumps and Eva Fehren jewels completed her look.

HeForShe VIP After-Party: It may have been a party, but Emma’s look stayed strictly conservative. At first glance this is a classic BOSS LBD; however, the modern elements included a sheer back and skirt for adding subtle allure. The lip was a deep shade of red, with an M2Malletier green clutch also adding a pop of colour. The look was completed with Jimmy Choo ‘Abel’ pumps and a Jennifer Fisher gold choker.

I love how she managed to keep both looks interesting while still event appropriate.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Keira Knightley In Michael Van Der Ham, Kate Bosworth In BOSS & Eddie Redmayne In Burberry Prorsum

bd2

Keira Knightley in Michael Van Der Ham and Kate Bosworth in BOSS were your best dressed this week.

You were swept away by the dark romance of Keira’s look – which saw her make a brief and welcome change from the expected – as much as you were blown away by Kate Bosworth’s matchy red ensemble, which was my personal favourite this week.

When it came to the gents there was no such competition, as the clear favourite was Eddie Redmayne in Burberry Prorsum. Even the suaveness of usual favourite Douglas Booth couldn’t come close to Eddie’s well-styled brightly coloured suit, which for some would be a risk, but this is standard practice for Eddie.

BOSS Spring 2015 Front Row

BOSS Spring 2015 Front Row

Many young stars flocked to see Jason Wu’s first spring runway show as BOSS’s new creative director. Of those on the front row of the Spring 2015 BOSS show were Zoe Saldana and Kate Bosworth.

Zoe Saldana: The pregnant actress wore head-to-toe BOSS, and opted for an easy, elb0w-length black v-neck dress. She paired the look with black and white sandals and a large white handbag.

Kate Bosworth: Kate also went with head-to-toe BOSS, and the dreamy seafoam colored satin, sleeveless dress with sheer overlay skirt is a fun and feminine choice. I also love her coral lip color with the dress, and that she, too, opted for the same black and white sandals as Zoe.

Kate Bosworth In BOSS – ‘Still Alice’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Kate Bosworth In BOSS - 'Still Alice' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Kate Bosworth attended the premiere of her film ‘Still Alice’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on Monday (September 8) in Toronto, Canada.

For the occasion, the blonde beauty wore a custom red, strapless BOSS gown with a satin belt and sequin skirt details.

With it, she wore Kurt Geiger ‘Britton’ pumps and a gold Lee Savage ‘Space’ clutch.

I love that Kate decided to go with a complete monochrome look here, and she is definitely ravishing in red.

Matte red lips, that flawless, radiant skin and just a touch of mascara, coupled with the long, sleek hair makes this look modern and oh-so-chic.

Oh, and I’ll take her posture, if I could, please!

January Jones In BOSS – ‘Good Kill’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

January Jones In BOSS - 'Good Kill' Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

January Jones returned to the red carpet for the ‘Good Kill’ photocall and premiere, hosted during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Friday (September 5).

Photocall: While at the Palazzo Del Casino, the actress selected a BOSS Fall 2014 ivory silk dress with sheer chiffon detailing, contrasted by Casadei black suede wrap-around, lace-up sandals and her adorable wavy long bob. Déjà vu has likely set in already, as this is a repeat feature just worn recently by Caroline Issa at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. Still, it maintained all the subtle chic factor that we saw in its first run.

Premiere: Staying in the light colour palette, January debuted a BOSS fully micro-beaded, custom V-neck column gown, accessorized with on-trend Jack Vartanian black diamond ear climbers and a Le Vian diamond ring. The shimmering, statuesque slinkiness of this gown had me at hello, although I could have done without the beehive updo.

Which look captured your attention?

GQ Men Of The Year Awards Menswear Roundup

GQ Men1

Even though the girls grabbed plenty of stares at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, hosted in association with Hugo Boss at The Royal Opera House in London, England on Tuesday (September 2), the evening was about the guys, after all. Many in the handsome bunch were naturally dressed to impress.

Douglas Booth: Rather appropriately attired in a bespoke BOSS Made to Measure suit to accept his Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man award, the actor didn’t leave anyone guessing as to his sartorial cred. He was as charming as ever in this navy-blue number. The perfect bow tie was my favourite part—the icing on the cake.

Dan Stevens: The British actor and one of the evening’s presenters wore a Dior Homme Prussian blue slim, shawl-collar tuxedo with a white cotton wing-tip tuxedo shirt and black patent leather derbies. The colour of the suit was obviously selected to bring out his intense baby-blue gaze, which helped detract from the fact that the black satin bow tie was rather oversized.

Benedict Cumberbatch: The Actor of the Year winner took a monochromatic approach in an all-black three-piece Spencer Hart suit and tie. He could have done better for his big night.

Caroline Issa In BOSS – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Caroline Issa In BOSS - 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Caroline Issa attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England.

Widely known as a street-style darling, the Tank Magazine executive fashion director has a lot more feathers in her cap: along with columnist for The Telegraph, and much-courted fashion consultant, now she can add designer to her resumé as her Nordstrom Signature x Caroline Issa collection will launch in 53 Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com in February, just in time for Fall 2015 Fashion Week.

Caroline wore a typically chic and understated look, selecting a Boss Fall 2014 ivory silk dress with chiffon inserts styled with L.K. Bennett accessories.

I love how this look exudes dressed-up girlish flair. I marvel at how she nails it every time.

This night wasn’t going to be the night where she wore her hair down, sticking instead to her signature simple bun, with barely there makeup rounding out her look.
