Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Jenny Packham – The Place2Be Wellbeing Schools Awards Reception

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Jenny Packham - The Place2Be Wellbeing Schools Awards Reception

Before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit the US next month, Catherine was flying solo on the red carpet yesterday (November 19) evening for the Place2be Wellbeing in Schools Awards Reception held at Kensington Palace in London, England.

The Duchess wore a Hobbs textured crepe overlay top in an embroidered polka-dot design with a subtle peplum waist detail accented with a belt and paired with a Jenny Packham Fall 2013 teal-blue silk knee-length skirt.

Styled with her favourite Jimmy Choo pumps and Cassandra Goad ‘Temple of Heaven’ earrings, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by this look.

While I would’ve loved the full runway look had this been a gala or a dinner party, her top is actually a really interesting choice, especially when paired with the belt.

Event and season appropriate without being boring? Colour me impressed.

Kim Sears In Hobbs – Wimbledon Championships

Kim Sears In Hobbs - Wimbledon Championships

Kim Sears was spotted headed to Court One on Day Three of the Wimbledon Championships earlier today (June 25) in London, England to watch fiancé Andy Murray take on Blaz Rola.

The tennis WAG, who has often been compared to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge for some strange reason (perhaps it’s the hair), wore a look from one of Catherine’s favoured brands: Hobbs.

Her tri-colour swallow-print daytime-chic dress was styled with Burberry wedges and a white Aspinal ‘Marylebone’ bag.

I think it is no coincidence that she’s wearing head-to-toe British labels.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs – Uluru

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs - Uluru

Following her Roksanda Ilincic look earlier in the day, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge changed for a romantic stroll around the base of Uluru with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge on Tuesday (April 22) in Ayers Rock, Australia.

The Duchess recycled her Hobbs fit-and-flare ’50s-inspired grey and white dress, styling it with a white woven belt, espadrille wedges and the beaded necklace she was presented with while walking around the base.

I know many of you are so very bored with her looks, but despite their repetitiveness they have at least been event appropriate, and this is a perfect example.

If you are waiting for her to wow you, I would advise that you don’t hold your breath.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs – St Patrick’s Day Parade

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs - St Patrick's Day Parade

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the St Patrick’s Day parade at Mons Barracks on Monday (March 17) in Aldershot, England with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge to visit the 1st Battalion Irish Guards to present the traditional sprigs of shamrocks to the officers and guardsmen of the regiment.

They say it’s not easy wearing green, but Catherine, aka Kate Middleton, stepped out donning the colour from head to toe.

Taking a break from the Emilia Wickstead coat she’s worn to this event for the past two years, Catherine chose the pine-green Hobbs ‘Persephone’ double-breasted trench on this occasion.

She styled the look with a Gina Foster hat, Cartier shamrock brooch, green suede pumps and a green clutch.

Should she have broken up the green with brown perhaps, like she did in 2012, or does this head-to-toe showing work for you?

I have to say it is the best of the three and even deserves a spot on the BDOTW list.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs – Princess Cruises Naming of the Ship Ceremony

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs - Princess Cruises Naming of the Ship Ceremony

Who would’ve thought becoming pregnant would be the catalyst for Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s style?

Since announcing her pregnancy she has worn a wide array of looks, mostly coat dresses; however, the looks have been interesting and noteworthy, like the Hobbs ‘Dalmatian’ mac she wore today for the Princess Cruises Naming of the Ship Ceremony in Southampton, England.

Catherine looked very stylish arriving in her Hobbs animal-print coat before smashing a £1,250 Nebuchadnezzar of Moet et Chandon against the ship saying “I name this ship Royal Princess. May God bless her and all who sail in her.”

The coat was styled with a black hat, black pumps, and a white clutch.

Are you finding yourself impressed by Catherine’s style?

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs – Grimsby Visit

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Hobbs - Grimsby Visit

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was visiting the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England yesterday to meet young people who had turned their lives around with the help of the Prince’s Trust.

The Duchess, who is 21 weeks into her pregnancy, wore a Hobbs coat, accented with a narrow belt, over her barely visible bump.

This is not the first time she has worn this chocolate three-quarter-length coat, you won’t be surprised to know.

She first wore it on Valentine’s Day back in 2012, when it sold out instantly, and again on Christmas Day. This time she teamed it with printed dress.

Annoushka pearl earrings and black pumps completed her event-appropriate look.

I can see why Kate likes recycling this look so often. This is a great colour for her, plus the coat is doing a great job of concealing her baby bump.
