Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I recently viewed the Anna Dello Russo collection for H&M in London.

The fun, playful collection is steeped in ADR’s fashion DNA…over-the-top glamour.

I had a lot of fun trying on these pieces, especially the chain-accented sunglasses with gilt frames.

I also saw ornate silver jewels with emerald stones, aqua travel bags with gilt motifs, and a lot of gold including earrings, serpent bracelets, clutches with aqua stones, chokers, key chains, charm bracelets, necklaces, earrings and cuffs.

The footwear includes over-the-knee dominatrix boots, gold ankle boots and strappy sandals with diamante detailing and, surprisingly, ballet flats.

This collection wouldn’t be complete without an OTT headpiece. Hat lovers will be delighted that Anna included one of her must-have street-style pieces, a veiled feather hat.

Anna promised that “you will turn an ordinary day into a sensational fashion week day”.

Lana Del Rey performed at H&M’s private concert held at The Wooly last night in New York City.

The singer wore an all-black H&M ensemble featuring a black silk dress with a floaty chiffon sheer floor-length skirt teamed with a sharp black blazer.

She styled the look with Ferragamo ‘Berg’ wedges with red nails providing the only pop of colour.

Her signature bouffant with soft waves completed the look.

The only thing I like about this look are wedges.

As we know, Lana Del Rey, one of the biggest names in music, will be the face and voice of H&M this autumn.

Here are some additional images from her print campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Lana wears a mix of pieces from the H&M autumn collection ranging from a green sweater to printed leggings, a tweed biker jacket, wool faux-fur-trimmed coat and tweed figure-hugging faux-leather-trimmed dress.

In each shot her hair is styled in her now signature beehive bouffant.

I particularly love the printed pieces and the beige-embellished skirts. The wine-coloured leather-look pants caught my eye too.

Kate Beckinsale continued to promo her new movie ‘Total Recall’ yesterday in Dublin, Ireland, where she was spotted heading to the RTE TV studios for a round of interviews.

The British star looked effortlessly chic in a peach H&M top paired with an aqua-blue Diane von Furstenberg pencil skirt.

This is the perfect outfit to showcase her summer style.

Her chic colour-block look was styled with nude Christian Louboutin spike ‘Pigalle’ heels and gold Melinda Maria earrings.

I have to say this is one of my favourite looks from Kate so far.

After weeks of speculation, H&M have confirmed Lana Del Rey as the face of their upcoming autumn campaign, in addition to their holiday ads.

In this sneak peek at the campaign, which debuts in September, we see the singer wearing a pale pink angora sweater and nude jeans with her now trademark bouffant and cat-eyes.

H&M’s PR manager Chloe Bowers released the following statement:

“We were looking for a style icon and singer to model our autumn/winter 2012-13 collection and Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice. We think she shows our fall fashion in a very inspiring way. The theme of the campaign is a modern and feminine woman with a soft attitude. Curves and waist are important in autumn’s silhouette.”

Aside from these sultry photos, Del Rey has also recorded the song ‘Blue Velvet’ for the collection’s commercial.

H&M adds, “The mood is very LA noir.”
