Helen Hunt In H&M – 2013 Oscars

Helen Hunt took to the red carpet in a surprising design at Sunday’s 2013 Oscars in Los Angeles.

Nominated for ‘The Sessions’, Helen could have had any designer of her choosing but she opted for a gown by H&M to support the mass retailer’s global green initiative which she style with a Swarovski clutch.

Minus the navy colour and satin material, the strapless column silhouette looked similar to her look from the SAG Awards. I love an affordable gown as much as the next gal but I wish the material hadn’t wrinkled so much before her red carpet strut. Wrinkles aside, I think the dress worked well on Helen.

While the actress opted for a look from a mass retailer, she sparkled in upwards of $700,000 in jewels from Martin Katz with a multi-strand silver necklace, statement-making bangles, and stud earrings.

Sophia Bush In H&M Conscious – Global Green USA’s 10th Annual Pre-Oscar Party

Sophia Bush swapped the red carpet for a greener and grassier one, as she attended Global Green USA’s 10th annual pre-Oscar party, hosted at Hollywood’s Avalon on Wednesday.

Playing into Global Green’s sustainability message, the actress appropriately dressed in an exclusive suit from the H&M Conscious collection.

This tailored two-piece, which will be in H&M stores this spring, is from the brand’s ethical clothing range; it’s made of organic cotton.

I can definitely appreciate the eco fashion message and the fresh zeal that this crisp, ultra-white suit delivers.

Sophia’s accessories add a punch of natural inspiration, too, what with her gemstone-embellished clutch, her hammered metal bracelets and horn earrings, and her nude pumps.

A dark fuchsia smile rounded out the look with a dose of colour. I’m still not in love with Sophia’s blunt bang. That heavy fringe is the only distracting downer here.

David Beckham’s H&M Bodywear TV Ad

H&M invited me to view their new ad to launch the David Beckham Bodywear collection, which was directed by Guy Ritchie at the Soho Hotel in London yesterday.

It was quite a fancy affair, with champagne, canapés and popcorn.

After the first viewing of the ad, the PR asked us if we wanted to watch the ad again; we all said yes for, erm, research purposes of course.

The ad shows David waving goodbye to his three sons (actors) in his dressing gown, which becomes caught in the door of the Range Rover.

He chases the Range Rover, jumping over hedges, which leaves him shirt-less, running through gardens, tennis courts and swimming through a pool which leaves him soaking wet.

Just when you think he is going to catch up with the car, it speeds off again and the ad ends with a coach full of tourists snapping the topless Becks before he continues to chase the car in his slippers.

The ad will air for the first time tonight in the UK on Channel 4 at 9.50pm.

Kristen Stewart In BCBG Max Azria & H&M – ‘On The Road’ Vanity Fair Screening

Kristen Stewart attended Vanity Fair’s screening of ‘On The Road’, held at the Skywalker Ranch in San Francisco, California on Friday.

She pumped up the glam factor in a sleek BCBG jacket, skinny H&M leather pants and oxblood-hued (befitting Kristen’s vampire fame) Christian Louboutin pumps.

In recent years, Kristen has built a reputation of taking a devil-may-care attitude to dressing for the red carpet (remember those Converse sneakers?).

But this refined ensemble proves that she is consciously stepping into the limelight in a big way.

Even though the look is on the casual side, Kristen ties her red pumps in with a bold red lip, and the subtle shine of the pants add a dash of sexy playfulness.

Plus – we love that Kristen is opting for brands like H&M that her core fan-base can totally relate to.

Gwai Lun-Mei In Maison Martin Margiela with H&M – 2012 Golden Horse Awards Press Room

Gwai Lun-Mei had changed out of her Alexander McQueen gown at the Golden Horse Awards when she showed off her trophy in the press room.

On this occasion, she wore a black Maison Martin Margiela with H&M dress.

I can’t say I’m crazy about this fusion of two dress, with the one side longer than the other and the one strappy shoulder, but Lun-Mei makes this complicated look work.

This could be down to the fact that she didn’t try too hard, opting just to add simple pumps and a tie belt.
