Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It’s rare to see celebs wearing the same vintage piece, but we all know that Rachel Zoe has a huge vintage Halston collection.

At the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party back in March, Marisa Tomei wore her deep blue bugle beaded vintage Halston dress from Decades with a black satin obi sash tied to the waist.

Her look was paired with Sergio Rossi heels and H Stern jewels.

Rachel Zoe wore her dress to the CFDA Fashion Awards with the Casadei 3504 triple platform pumps she made famous with her A list clients.

Although I wish Marisa wore her dress without such a wide belt, I do love the deeper plunge.

I don’t think I can ever truly love or even like a look with those Casadei heels, so Marisa wins for me.

I’ve often wondered why we’ve haven’t seen much of Sarah Jessica Parker wearing Halston, but I guess she was waiting for a big occasion like the Costume Institute Gala.

The “Sex And The City” walked the red carpet wearing a Halston Heritage Archive Starburst pleated silk lame dress in blush champagne for her big night out.

I adore the colour on her.

Like most of the ladies tonight she’s glowing.

I’m normally not a fan of large hair accessories, but I like that it adds a youthful touch to her look.

Diamond earrings and a large selection of bracelets complete her look.

Jennifer Lopez brought the sun out in New York City this morning when she made an appearance on the “Today” show with Matt Lauer.

The singer/actress was on the show to promote her new film “The Back-Up Plan”.

In the rom-com Jennifer plays a woman who gets artificially inseminated the same day she meets the man of her dreams.

When I saw the Halston Fall 2010 presentation I instantly thought Leighton Meester would be the first to wear a look from the collection.

But Lopez is the first, wearing a stunning red mini dress with a bell-shaped skirt from the Halston boat neck epaulette dress from the Fall 2010 collection.

She’s even beaten Sarah Jessica Parker who is the Creative Director of the brand.

Lopez is glowing.

I love everything about this look from her honey blonde highlights to her Christian Louboutin Luly sandals.

I keep saying it, but Jennifer is back.

Sarah Jessica Parker helped launch the Halston Heritage Collection at The Bay in Toronto yesterday.

The “Sex And The City” actress – who is now the Creative Advisor for Haltston – arrived wearing a purple Halston Heritage bandage dress paired with a black Marchesa tuxedo jacket which was recently presented in their Fall 2010 collection.

The rest of SJPs look included a Halston Heritage slouchy bag, and silver satin Ferragamo pumps.

Sarah Jessica Parker introduced us to Halston Heritage last year as she wore 2 looks from the collection on the set of “Sex And The City” 2.

I loved the white dress she wore on set whilst carrying a drool worthy Chanel purse.

But my favourite was the shimmering purple dress she paired with Christian Louboutin Gino T-Strap pumps and a Louboutin hobo.

The hip diffusion line by the legendary American luxury house of Halston has gathered huge acclaim thanks SJP.

The collection is available online at Net-A-Porter US, Net-A-Porter International, Bloomingdale’s .

Amy Adams and Marisa Tomei were the blue belles of the Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday night.

Actress Amy Adams wore a blue silk chiffon Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti paired with a black clutch.

Her maternity style is so elegant.

Marisa opted for a vintage Halston gown from Decades Inc.

Her deep blue bugle beaded gown was accented with a black silk satin obi sash.

Her look was paired with Sergio Rossi heels and H Stern jewels.

Penelope Cruz wore a Armani Privé Spring 2005 black gown with a mermaid tail.

I like the lace the detail around the bust a shoulder line but I’m a little bored by Penelope in black again.

I feel that she’s trying to channel her Spanish roots here but it somehow looks a little messy.

Glenn Close sparkled in this black Oscar de la Renta floor length Fall 2009 dress.

I just feel it isn’t special enough for the Globes.

The bust line of the dress and the bare shoulders make her arms look too muscular.

Rose Byrne wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress in a deep purple with a bow detail at the waist.

I’m glad Rose decided to wear the dress in this colour but I apart from that I’m left feeling a little bored.

Kate Hudson walked the red carpet in a Marchesa Bridal Spring 2010 gown with sculptured band bodice and bottom flared skirt.

I just can’t make you my mind about this. Part of me is thinking “what the hell?” and the other part doesn’t mind it so much.

I’ve never really got why stars wear bridal looks on the red carpet but I’m actually quite drawn to the sculpting on the dress.

The shoes are way too heavy though.

Jaime Pressly is shimmering in this Kevan Hall Spring 2010 dress with a split up one side.

I prefer this dress on the model as I feel that it has more of an impact against brunette hair.

I don’t think the champagne coloured clutch compliments this dress at all.

Jenna Fischer wore a dress from Halston’s Spring 2010 collection.

I like it but I don’t love it. I just can’t see how this dress is event appropriate. This is a star’s chance to shine and this dress is never going to deliver that moment.
