Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Couture Award
Of course one of the Olsen twins had to wear a Couture and standout on the red carpet at the 2010 Elle Style Awards.

Ashley Olsen wore a modified Christian Lacroix Spring 2010 gown which had a very long train which she paired with Fendi heels.

Susie Bubble tweeted “Accidentally stepped on this gal’s long tulle dress”.

LOL at Susie for totally not recognising Ashley on the red carpet.

It was a big gown for Ashley, but for once she didn’t appear to be drowning in it.

Sister Mary-Kate opted for a black Lanvin ensemble with a black fur shrug.

Both were not in the mood for talking much, so her PR told us what they were wearing.

She said, “Ashley’s wearing La..Lacr..Lacro..” to which we all said in union “Lacroix” to which she laughed and thanked us.

The twins received the “Style Icon” award for their unique and individual fashion personalties, which they are clearly showing off here.

Best Tribute Dress Award
As I predicted in an earlier post, Naomi Campbell did wear Alexander McQueen to the 2010 Elle Style Awards last night.

The model looked stunning in her snake print Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 mini dress as she collected her “Outstanding Contribution” Award.

This award was presented to her for her 25 year career in fashion, and for her work as global patron of ‘The White Ribbon Alliance’ – the charity aiming to reduce maternal mortality in the world’s poorest countries.

Red Blooded Woman Award
Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley brought a lot of glamour to the 2010 Elle Style Awards red carpet last night.

She glided down the red carpet giving plenty of sexy face to the paparazzi wearing a stunning red Christian Dior Spring 2010 gown.

You may remember that Amber Heard wore this same belted gown to the Art of Elysiums Gala earlier this year.

I’m not fond of exposed underwear, but this is done in a elegantly sexy way plus I love how Rosie wears the gown slightly off-the-shoulder.

She was one of the best on the night for me, as her look had plenty of wow factor.

Best Black Award
Leona Lewis walked the red carpet at the 2010 Elle Style Awards wearing a black Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2009 dress with a keyhole detail.

Unlike Claudia Schiffer and Claire Danes, she opted to break up the black by adding nude heels and a dash of red to her lips.

Even though we’ve seen this look before on Leona at a book signing last October, I still really like the look.

On this occasion she adds more accessories to the look.

It feels like she’s got more attitude and it also feels like she’s in character.

I love the hat, but I may have lost the fingerless lace gloves.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Award
I’m not sure what Jamie Winstone does, but for the second night in a row she was out to have fun.

Last night at the 2010 Elle Style Awards she ditched the Monroe look she sported at the BAFTAs, for a more youthful look wearing a gold and black detailed Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2010 strapless dress.

She struggled pronounce to designers name, but her companioned helped her out.

Jamie is a big ball of energy and it was clear from the moment she arrived that she was there to have fun.

Oscar the Grouch Award
Pixie Geldof was wearing Vivienne Westwood when she arrived at the 2010 Elle Style Awards in London last night.

Even though I knew it was Westwood, I wanted to get closer look because I couldn’t quite believe that her hair was green.

On closer inspection when I asked her who she was wearing it was green.

More so than theses picture portray.

I wanted to ask why, but I thought it would be too rude. Now I’m wishing I did.
