Tom Hiddleston In Gucci & Eddie Redmayne In Burberry – ‘Early Man’ London Premiere

Tom Hiddleston and Eddie Redmayne were in attendance at the ‘Early Man’ London premiere on Sunday (January 14).

Tom Hiddleton: The actor’s beard will undoubtedly be the focus, but he looked suave in a navy Gucci suit. He kept things classic with the pale blue shirt and red speckled tie. The brown shoes were another debonair addition.

Eddie Redmayne: It’s easy to think that the actor is at a different event given that his Burberry look is much more casual. I think the duffle jacket would typically be better suited to a photocall, but I am making allowances as this is a family-centric premiere for an animated film and the look works with Maisie Williams’ Coach number. It’s a shame that the layers and his hair weren’t a bit neater.

Paloma Faith In Manish Arora & Gucci – The BRIT Awards 2018 Nominations Launch

Paloma Faith has such a gusto for dressing up so I am always intrigued to see what she will wear.

True to form, she made a few bold statements at the BRIT Awards 2018 Nominations Launch on Saturday (January 13) in London, England.

Firstly, the singer hit the red carpet in a highly decorative Manish Arora Spring 2018 gown.

The shape of this does play into her retro M.O., but the graphic print gives it a modern, almost holographic finish.

The design could have overwhelmed her small frame, but she managed to balance it out with a heavily teased crimped hairstyle without it looking comical.

Greta Gerwig In Gucci – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Just when I had started to believe Greta Gerwig had taken the minimalist path, she goes for maximalism in Gucci at the 2018 The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City.

The ‘Lady Bird’ actress stole the spotlight and ensured dazzling entrance in her Spring 2018 rose-gold sequin dress.

I love how the dress was able to flourish with her simple black Gianvito Rossi pumps and Cartier jewels, and how the silhouette was tempered with a black waistband.

While I’m embracing the sharp change in direction, I’m not so sure this will go down too well with the majority; especially when so many of you disliked a similar dress Cate Blanchett wore from this same collection.

Margot Robbie In Gucci – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Margot Robbie was also one-to-watch at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

With her own distinct twist on the black dress code, the ‘I, Tonya’ actress and nominee donned a bold-shoulder Gucci plunge gown enhanced by a profusion of silvery embroidery.

In this case, the bold shoulders really acted as a nice counterbalance to the relative busyness of the shiny bow and floral motif.

The glamour of the look was made complete with her styling that included an elegant Roger Vivier clutch and Roger Vivier sandals along with sleek waves and a deep magenta lip.

Dakota Johnson In Gucci – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Dakota Johnson joined a myriad of celebrities participating in the all-black dress code at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

The presenter opted for a Gucci ensemble, as many probably predicted. The Pre-Fall 2018 gown was a departure from the whimsical, multicoloured looks we have come to expect from the brand.

The dress did still have a fairy tale quality with the inky black velvet giving way to a shimmering tulle bustle with silver embroidery.

When she turned around, I was awestruck.

The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

There were many more stars in attendance at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party, joining Diane Kruger on Saturday (January 6).

Michelle Williams: As we might have predicted, the actress was dressed in a Louis Vuitton design—this one a basic variation on a sheath dress with a graphic pattern to add visual interest.

Issa Rae: Continuing her sunny-yellow mood from the 2018 AFI Awards, Issa donned a Rosie Assoulin Spring 2018 frock that featured a sense of girly playfulness in the oversized ruffle detail. With Monica Vinader jewels to round out the look, she kept the styling simple and sleek this time around.

Emma Watson: Emma debuted a short set of bangs that had a certain Sofia Boutella influence to go with her Osman Resort 2018 ensemble. The sharp look prominently celebrated the menswear trend, with Susi Studio loafers contributing to that theme.

29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Here are three dashing gents who joined a host of lovely ladies for the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala on Tuesday (January 2).

Armie Hammer: Positioning himself as the golden boy of the evening, there was plenty of old-school charm to Armie’s Dolce & Gabbana suit styled with Louboutin shoes to be had. We tend to tire of the predictable menswear offerings, so how does this colour combo fare?

Timothée Chalamet: Our best dressed male of 2017 started off on a classic note wearing a shawl lapel suit oozing plenty of elegance.

Kumail Nanjian: You can never label Kumail’s style as boring. I love how his J. Crew Ludlow shawl-collar tuxedo has so much vibrancy thanks to the tartan blazer. Some might find it comedic, but it’s refreshing bold to me.
