James Franco In Gucci - Hollywood Walk of Fame Unveiling

James Franco was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday afternoon in California.

The star of ‘Oz: the Great and Powerful’ looked incredibly handsome in a Gucci Resort 2013 cornflower-blue suit.

The blue colour combination was perfectly executed and the entire suit was nicely tailored.

James wisely opted to have his pants cut short to accentuate his Gucci brown loafers.

He has been seen in a Gucci suit at least three times since mid-February most notably at the LA premiere, the Japan premiere and the Moscow premiere.

The actor joins Ryan Gosling and Robert Pattinson in going gaga for Gucci.

BDOTW Oscars copy

Dior was the winner this week, but we picked two very different gowns.

You selected the beautiful princess-y gown worn by Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, while I picked the sleek peplum gown worn by Charlize Theron.

BDOTW Oscars Men

No surprised that you voted Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen, as he has pretty much dominated this poll since time began.

I picked Channing Tatum. Partly because he looked so dapper in his black three-piece Gucci suit and partly because I have a major crush on him.

2013 Oscars Menswear Round Up

While the women looked absolutely gorgeous at the 2013 Oscars, the men used the biggest black tie event of the year to showcase some truly dapper looks. A large majority of the men stuck to the classic black and white, as opposed to navy and grey, and it paid off. With all the cleaned-up looks, it was surprising to see that the most popular trend of the night was facial hair. From full beards to scruff, the men of the Oscars made a manly statement.

Channing Tatum: Before dancing with Charlize Theron in the opening, the popular actor donned a nicely fitted Gucci made-to-order navy three-piece tux with Martin Katz studs and cufflinks. His outfit featured a classy shawl lapel and shirt studs. He rocked his tux all night with a huge smile thanks to his glowingly beautiful pregnant wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

Eddie Redmayne: Here’s the one you’ve all been waiting for. The always-dapper Eddie Redmayne arrived in a slim-fit Alexander McQueen black tuxedo with wide peak lapels. Like he’s shown over the past few months, Eddie knows how a suit should fit, and this tux fit perfectly. Finishing off his look with a tribute to the old school, he wore gold studs and, my favourite part, black tuxedo slippers.

Ben Affleck: That fantastic beard is back. The director and producer of Best Picture winner ‘Argo’ wore a Gucci black three-piece tuxedo that featured peak lapels. With his black bow tie, Ben wore a white shirt with a wing-tip collar. The pants could have been a bit shorter, but what he lacks in tailoring he makes up for in facial hair. Ben’s wife, Jennifer Garner, also wore Gucci to the event.

Li Bing Bing In Gucci -2013 Vanity Fair Party

Li Bingbing attended the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars party, hosted on Sunday evening at the Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

The Asian brand ambassador for Gucci wore a turquoise pants suit from the brand’s Spring 2013 collection.

Li always looks stunning in her Gucci attire, and this vibrant jewel tone looks beautiful with her skintone.

I do think the voluminous ruffles on the sleeves overtake her petite frame a bit, but she still manages to work it out.

Jennifer Garner stood out from the sea of muted dresses on the red carpet Sunday at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’ actress wore a custom Gucci gown that looked stunning against her ivory skin.

The actress carried a Roger Vivier clutch and wore Neil Lane jewelry and in a year when most of the stars on the red carpet are taking a simplistic approach to their styling, her $2.5 million worth of jewels and dramatic ruffles evoke the spirit of years past when opulence was more du jour.

I love Jennifer’s brown smokey eyes and slightly messy updo, but her matte nude lips are just begging for at least a little shine.

Menswear Midweek round up

Chris Hemsworth: At the 2013 Foxtel Launch at Fox Studios in Sydney on Wednesday, the 29-year-old actor sported an Ermenegildo Zegna grey peak-lapel suit. He also added a white pocket square to match his unbuttoned white shirt. Chris’s suit was nicely tailored to show off his muscular frame, and usually I would prefer to have one more button done up, but he makes it work with ease.

James Franco: I like that James Franco is experimenting with suits. On his last outing he wore a rich brown-and-blue windowpane suit. For the ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Japan premiere he stood alongside the gorgeous Rachel Weisz wearing a jade-green Gucci suit. Styling the suit with a more familiar white dress shirt, black tie and leather lace ups, I kinda wish the tie and shoes had been in a different colour.

James D’Arcy: The English actor attended a gala screening of ‘Cloud Atlas’, which he starred in, at the Curzon Mayfair in London on Monday. To the screening, James wore all Prada; his Prada navy tela-mohair suit was matched with a blue-and-white striped shirt. James styled it with a bordeaux micro-dot tie and black brushed-leather lace-up shoes for a dashing look.
