Gucci Spring 2015 Front Row

Gucci Spring 2015 Front Row

The front row at the Gucci Spring 2015 show, hosted today (September 7) during Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy, included a pretty trio of Gucci-wearing girls.

Kate Moss: Fresh from her appearance at the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 presentation on Monday, the supermodel punctuated her look with statement snake print. She paired the Gucci Resort 2015 green python leather coat with a black jersey dress, black suede platform high heel sandals and a pale-blue leather Jackie soft clutch. With minimal accessories and little fluff, it’s a very ‘Kate’ look, especially topped off with barely-there makeup and natural wavy strands.

Araya A. Hargate: Also jetting from the London Burberry Prorsum show to Milan, Araya was dressed in a Gucci Fall 2014 rose techno-fabric, short-sleeve frock with a pair of blue-python, high-heel boots with horsebit detail. With her round, oversized shades, I did love the spirited, retro stance she channeled.

Charlotte Casiraghi: The Monaco royal and the face of Gucci Cosmetics, which made its runway debut today, was the picture of effortless elegance, looking incredibly chic in a Gucci Fall 2014 black leather-trimmed sleeveless cocktail dress, sophisticatedly styled with impeccable makeup, naturally, and that great red lip.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick look at the dapper gents attending New York and Toronto Film Festival premieres this week.

Douglas Booth: The handsome continues to prove why we often hand him a best dressed title each time he steps out on the red carpet. With navy being the colour of the moment in menswear, the actor sets his own pace opting for a green Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit styled with an Armani timepiece to the ‘Riot Club’ Toronto Film Festival premiere.

Rob Pattinson: The British actor was also staying true to his favourite brand: Gucci. I do love it when guys do something a bit different. Here Rob styles his navy notch-lapel two-button Marseille suit with a navy evening shirt and brown leather lace-ups while attending the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of ‘Maps Of The Stars’ on Tuesday (September 9). The colours couldn’t be more perfect as we slowly move towards autumn and the suit, as always, was a perfect fit. The usual dishevelment gave way to sleeker grooming, so this gets a thumbs up all round from me.

Hailee Steinfeld In Calvin Klein & Gucci - 'The Riot Club' Toronto Film Festival Premiere & HFPA & InStyle's 2014 TIFF Celebration

Hailee Steinfeld attended the premiere of the film ‘The Riot Club’ at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, as well as the HFPA & InStyle’s 2014 TIFF Celebration yesterday, September 6 in Toronto, Canada.

Premiere: For her premiere look, Hailee wore a black Calvin Klein Resort 2015 dress with white floral bouquet detailing paired with black buckle sandals, a sleek, side-parted ponytail, bright fuchsia lips and smokey eyes. A black mani and pedi complete the classic-but-fun look.

Day Look: Earlier in the day, Hailee chose a butter yellow shirtdress from Gucci’s Resort 2015 collection. The same sleek ponytail and striking lip color pop against the sunny color of the dress. Whether it’s subtle or dramatic, I’m a big fan of Hailee’s red carpet fashion and beauty choices.

Jennifer Lopez In Gucci – 39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show

Jennifer Lopez In Gucci - 39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show

Jennifer Lopez attended the 39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show on Sunday (August 31) in Bridgehampton, New York.

Wearing a rare dress which falls below the knee, the singer donned a blooming floral-print dress from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

With its fall-like hues, this transitional piece may be coming early, yet this is a refreshing look from the diva.

Styled with a black leather butterfly-accented belt with studded detailing, she swept her hair up into a simple topknot and added gold hooped earrings, with smouldering eyes and pink glossy lips completing her daytime sexy chic look.

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While the constellation of actresses on the scene at the 2014 Emmy Awards had all of us focused on the range of red-carpet gowns and glam, there was plenty more eye candy to be had with the men in the mix at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday night (August 25).

Matthew McConaughey: Not one to ever be a shrinking violet, the ‘True Detective’ actor and nominee suited up in a bold blue Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with contrasting black lapels, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘New Orleans’ flats, and a Bulgari watch and cufflinks. Was it my favourite look of his? Perhaps not. It even drew ‘A Night at the Roxbury’ comparisons among the Twitter-verse. But, with that handsome gaze, he can pull off anything.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ Emmy winner couldn’t have accepted his trophy in more classic fashion. He wore top-to-toe Prada in a black kid-mohair tuxedo, with a two-button notch-lapel design and velvet trim on the collar. A white smoking silk shirt, black bowtie and black spazzolato lace-up shoes, plus a Bulgari timepiece, completed the look.

Ty Burrell: Channeling his own blue mood, the ‘Modern Family’ Emmy winner wore a custom Todd Snyder tuxedo that was made especially for his big night. The Italian wool design was a collaborative effort between Ty, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and the designer and boasts a unique shade of blue called ‘dusk,’ which nicely updates the tux from the more standard colourways of black and navy.

MTV Video Music Awards Menswear Roundup

MTV Video Music Awards Menswear Roundup

Lest you think last night’s 2014 MTV Video Music Awards #VMA were all about the ladies, a few men sauntered out their style profiles too at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Nick Jonas: The singer represented for the former Jonas Brothers, looking sharp in a lively Vivienne Westwood MAN navy windowpane waistcoat jacket and vest. Not taking the outfit too seriously, he wore slouchy black denim and black boots which offset the more buttoned-up effect of that riff on a period jacket.

Common: Also in Vivienne Westwood MAN, the rapper brought plenty of attitude to the evening with his brown sweater, complete with leather-look sleeves, black jeans and a pair of statement shades. He wouldn’t have been out of place on the ‘Star Trek’ set.

Sam Smith: Before taking to the VMAs stage for a soulful rendition of ‘Stay With Me,’ Sam was on the red carpet. His Gucci navy notch-lapel, two-button Signoria three-piece suit, worn tie-less with a white evening shirt and brown leather monk strap shoes, may not be the most memorable, but his performance most certainly was.
