Lily James In Gucci & Erdem – ‘Cinderella’ (Cenerentola) Milan Photocall & Premiere

Lily James In Gucci & Erdem - 'Cinderella' (Cenerentola) Milan Photocall & Premiere

Lily James’ next stop on the road for the promotion of her latest movie ‘Cinderella’ (Cenerentola) took her to Milan, Italy, where she attended both a photocall and the premiere on Thursday (February 18). As you can see from both looks, the princess theme has given way to sleeker, more modern looks, perhaps to highlight her new strawberry-blonde tresses.

Photocall: The British actress started off her day wearing a Gucci Spring 2015 halter dress. I love the marriage of the understated midi silhouette with a glamorous scarlet-red hue, which she kept contemporary with black strappy Christian Louboutin ‘Viennana’ sandals.

Premiere: She opted to forgo the expected gown for the premiere for an a Erdem Spring 2015 midi dress. Despite wishing this was floor length, one can’t help but be captivated by the opulence of this floral embroidered dress. Flavourful of romance with controlled sensuality, while I love the styling – which included Jimmy Choo ‘Elsa’ sandals – I’m unsure about the berry lip here.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

mens 1

Here is a roundup of some menswear red carpet looks, including a one more from the Grammys.

Robert Pattinson: Always one to keep menswear interesting, the British actor wore several shades of grey in his Gucci look, which included a ‘Signoria’ wool coat and a red tie. I’m sure he was a gentleman and offered said coat to co-star Alessandra Mastronardi, who wore a strapless Elie Saab gown to the same event.

Dane DeHaan: The actor was not to be outdone. The face of Prada wore Prada, wearing an impeccably tailored navy kid mohair two-button suit with a sky-blue Oxford shirt and navy satin bow tie. If only Prada’s women’s red carpet offerings could have the same 100% hit rate as the men’s.

Ryan Reynolds: Leaving his gorgeous wife and newborn at home, Ryan joined the evergreen Helen Mirren on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of ‘Women in Gold’. Sticking to classic black, the slim-fit suit was styled with a striped tie that almost gives a nod to collegiate style.

Alesha Dixon In Gucci – Britain’s Got Talent Birmingham Auditions

Alesha Dixon In Gucci - Britain's Got Talent Birmingham Auditions

Alesha Dixon joined Amanda Holden at the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions held at the Birmingham Hippodrome on Thursday (February 5) in Birmingham, England.

Braving the cold, Alesha wore an ivory Gucci halter-neck jumpsuit crafted entirely from silk-cady for a crisp silhouette. The look features a plunging neckline and open back for an edgy, sassy reveal.

Playing up the sultry effect, she styled the look with black chain-accented sandals, a gold choker and a selection of gold necklaces.

While I’m not too fond of the hair from the back, this look screams stylish and sexy in an effortlessly cool way.

You may remember that Beyoncé Knowles and Bella Thorne have both worn this Gucci jumpsuit, making this a threepeat.

Lily Aldridge In Gucci – Leather and Laces Party

Lily Aldridge In Gucci - Leather and Laces Party

Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge attended the Leather and Laces party held in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday (January 30) ahead of the Super Bowl.

The model took the invite literally by wearing a red broderie anglaise dress featuring a laced detail from Gucci’s Spring 2015 collection.

It would appear that the theme for her look was red, as both her shiny metallic sandals and Jenny Packham ‘Petal’ clutch matched her frock, but she opted to keep both her lips and nails neutral.

I know these style of dresses aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I think she totally rocked it, and this couldn’t be a more perfect occasion to rock this style of dress.

2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

Here’s a quick roundup of the men who took to the red carpet for the 2015 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday (January 15) in Los Angeles, California.

Eddie Redmayne: Giving just that little bit extra, which always sees him standing above his peers, the actor opted for a sharp Valentino shawl-collar tuxedo in his favoured slim-fit silhouette.

Jared Leto: Following the Globes, I was worried he had lost his mojo, but here he’s bursting with flavour. Standing out wearing a bright blue Costume National blazer accented with a pink carnation, you have to admire his courage in always doing something different. Thankfully opting for black trousers instead of going full blue, he did match his blazer to his sock with an extra kick coming from his Swarovski-embellished Louis Leeman loafers. On this occasion he swapped his man-braid for a man-bun.

Ethan Hawke: Yet to wear a black suit this awards season, the ‘Boyhood’ actor also stood out, donning a Lanvin light grey suit with black velvet piping. These top three will most definitely keep menswear interesting this awards season.
