Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

men 16 dec

Here is a quick look at some of the dapper gents taking to the red carpet this week.

Common: The actor attended the ‘Selma’ New York premiere alongside the lovely Tessa Thompson on Sunday (December 14), looking pretty sharp himself wearing a Calvin Klein Collection suit. While the cut and fit is to be admired, I can’t help swooning at how the oxblood hue is so heavenly against his caramel skin tone. Styled with a blush shirt and patterned tie, the look was completed by a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood lace-up shoes with a contrast trim.

Bradley Cooper: The actor was back to his super-sharp best, donning a black silky-smooth cashmere Tom Ford suit to the ‘American Sniper’ New York premiere. The look is simple and classic, which only serves to bring out those gorgeous blue eyes. While I prefer Cooper with a bit of stubble, this clean-shaven look does have me swooning.

Dan Stevens: The British actor attended the ‘Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb’ London premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square on Monday (December 15). The buttoned-up shirt tieless look doesn’t always work for me as it has a feeling of being not quite finished, yet with the slickness of the suit styled with the studded shoes, I would say Dan pulls this look off with great aplomb.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Men 5 december

Here is quick round-up of gents who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (December 4).

James Marsden:
The handsome actor attended the 2014 GQ Men of the Year party held at the at the Chateau Marmont in LA looking sharp wearing a Thom Sweeney navy mohair three-piece suit. Aside from by hypnotized by that rich navy hue, I’m also saluting the mix of burgundy and brown incorporated into this look. There is never a dull moment in menswear when James is around.

Richard Armitage: The actor suited up for the Paris premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’, held at Le Grand Rex on Thursday (December 4). Opting for the sartorial elegance of Ermenegildo Zegna once again, this time he looked even more dashing in a burgundy shawl-collar suit styled with a grey shirt and brown striped tie.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Solange Knowles In Humberto Leon for Kenzo, Eddie Redmayne In Alexander McQueen and Channing Tatum In Gucci

Best Dressed Of The Week - Solange Knowles In Humberto Leon for Kenzo, Eddie Redmayne In Alexander McQueen and Channing Tatum In Gucci

It was damn near impossible not to be entranced by Solange Knowles’ wedding gown created by Humberto Leon for Kenzo.

We never expected her to wear some big poofy gown. This gown couldn’t have been better suited to her style and personality.

When it came to the fellas, there was a battle between Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen and Channing Tatum in Gucci.

With just 1% splitting them, Eddie was the victor for you, but I was all about the slick navy three-piece suit offering of Channing.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw In Gucci - The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Celebrate The 2015 Golden Globe Award Season

Gugu Mbatha-Raw attended the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle’s celebration of the 2015 Golden Globe awards season held at Fig & Olive Melrose Place on Thursday (November 20) in West Hollywood, California.

The British actress wore a Gucci Fall 2014 pale-blue leather A-line dress accented with a ruffled placket.

Even with the plunging neckline this leather frock comes off as sweet rather than sultry. So far Gugu is yet to show that side of her.

Keeping the look simple, she styled the look with silver-metallic pumps and a hint of pale-blue via her clutch, eye makeup and earrings.

Bella Thorne In Gucci – ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ LA Premiere

Bella Thorne In Gucci - ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ LA Premiere

Bella Thorne joined Jennifer Aniston on the red carpet for the ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (November 20) in Hollywood, California.

It’s safe to say there is nothing androgynous about this sexy Gucci white halter jumpsuit with its plunging neckline and open back.

I have had my eye on this piece for a while for its crisp tailoring and sexy appeal.

Keeping the look minimalist, she added a few subtle jewels and silver Gucci sandals, with glossy waves and a nude lip rounding out her look.

Bella can be hit and miss, but this is a sure-fire hit making me long for this piece even more.

You may remember that Beyonce Knowles also wore this jumpsuit.

2014 Hollywood Film Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Lest we forget the gents who took to the red carpet for the 2014 Hollywood Film Awards on Friday (November 14).

Channing Tatum: Escorting his good lady wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, the actor looked so very handsome in his Gucci navy notch-lapel three-piece New Signoria suit with a white shirt, navy silk tie and black leather lace-up shoes. Tatum and Gucci continues to be a winning combination.

Jared Leto: The Oscar-winning actor opted for a smart double-breasted suit from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2014 collection. I love the styling of this look – yep, even the white Christian Louboutin New Platers Fiori shoes. I love how he can always marry looking smart with being uber cool.

Eddie Redmayne: The British actor joined his Alexander McQueen-clad ‘Theory of Everything’ co-star, Felicity Jones, at this event, looking as dapper as ever. Cut to perfection, his midnight-blue Valentino tuxedo with contrasting black lapels is yet another look for his hall of fame. I love the dual-colour pocket square. Sometimes it’s the little things that make an outfit.
