Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Officially showcasing her cropped hairdo for the first time on the red carpet, Anne Hathaway looked stunning whilst supporting Christopher Nolan at his Hand and Footprint Ceremony on Saturday in Hollywood, California.

Wearing a Givenchy Spring 2012 black sleeveless peplum halter dress with cascading ruffles was the perfect choice to not upstage the man of the hour.

Her stylish dress was coordinated with black Tory Burch ‘Rosemary’ open toe sandals (surprisingly not the popular Givenchy sandals) and minimal jewelry.

Light makeup for a fresh-faced look completed the look.

I guess this will kick-start the promo tour for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which hits theatres on July 20.

I hope she wears some McQueen and Valentino.

Summer is just beginning, but it seems as though we already have our shoe of the season.

Celebrities everywhere have been spotted wearing strappy Givenchy sandals.

Diane Kruger first sported the heels last month at the Cannes Film Festival, pairing the simple white heels with a girly coral Calvin Klein dress.

Proving their astonishing versatility, Cassie wore the very same pair the next day with a wildly different look.

Decked out in an exotic printed Salvatore Ferragamo jumpsuit, the simple sandals are a perfect balance to the bold look.

Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Connelly and Amanda Seyfried have all recently worn the sandals on the red carpet, while Fergie took the shoes in a casual direction for a flight to LAX wearing a sporty Alexander Wang ensemble.

In both black and white, these two-strap heels are the perfect subtle shoes to match pretty much any outfit.

Metallic accents give off a luxe feel, while the minimal coverage complements each ensemble without overpowering.

We expect to see many more Givenchy sandals stomp down the carpet in the coming months.

My heart sank when I saw Amanda Seyfried on the red carpet at the 2012 Tony Awards, held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City this evening.

This look will give me nightmares.

I don’t think I have ever disliked a look worn by Amanda Seyfried, but as the saying goes, “there’s a first time for everything”.

The actress donned a Givenchy Fall 2012 purple slip dress with gold embellished details which was accented with an orange belt.

Seeing this look on someone as gorgeous and flawless as Amanda proves my theory, this collection was always going to be difficult to translate well on the red carpet.

What was she thinking? And the Tony Awards of all occasions.

Apart from those Givenchy sandals, I can’t find one good thing to say about this look.

Can you?

Fred Leighton jewels and an orange Givenchy clutch accessorized her look.

Jennifer Hudson attended Samsung’s Annual Hope for Children Gala at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday in New York City.

The singer/actress and living proof that Weight Watchers does work wore a Givenchy Spring 2012 head-to-toe look.

She teamed a peach sleeveless silk shirt featuring a large pointed collar and a silver-tone metal top clasp fastening with a stretch fine jersey knit skirt with a circular cut-out hem.

Peachy Givenchy ankle-strap sandals, which we’ve seen on Cassie and Diane Kruger, plus a selection of gold jewels accessorized her look.

I love the look, but I’m not crazy about her curly hair. It feels so fussy for this chic ensemble.

I would’ve also loved it if Jennifer had opted for a natural nail colour: the lavender polish is jarring.

You can buy Jennifer’s Givenchy shirt from farfetch.com and S|sense.com.

Her Givenchy skirt is available in black from farfetch.com and in white from S|sense.com.

Since Diane Kruger wore these Givenchy heels in white they have sold-out, but Net-A-Porter.com and
Selfridges have them in black.

Asia Argento joined Marta Gastini on the red carpet for the ‘Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival yesterday evening.

The jury member from the 2009 Cannes Film Festival wore a Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture dress.

Her nude tulle open back dress embroidered with matte brown crocodile scales and studs was worn with a large brown crocodile belt and styled with slicked back hair.

Suede Givenchy sandals and heart-shaped ruby earrings completed her look.

Rooney Mara gave us no surprises on the red carpet as she posed for photographers at the 2012 Met Gala, held on Monday night in New York City.

Despite being seen shooting scenes for a new movie sporting lighter locks, the actress appears to have dyed the front of her hair a dark colour to give us the dark, moody glamour we have come to expect from her.

She wore a Givenchy Couture black asymmetrical one-sleeve lace dress with laser-cut leather details which was accented with a black leather belt.

A slicked-back bun, a dark pink lip shade, and black Givenchy sandals completed her look.
