Pace Wu PFW1

She did it again: Pace Wu was the Queen of Paris Fashion Week. This time she took in twelve shows giving twelve amazing front row looks.

Long may she reign.

Carven: She started off her fashionable week last Thursday at the Carven Fall 2013 presentation dressed in a summery organza cut-out embroidered dress from the Spring 2013 collection. Giving the pretty frock an edge, she styled the look with an interesting black clutch, which mimics the design on her dress, and open-toe lace booties.

Lanvin: Even though she looks divine, this chartreuse asymmetrical mini dress with a black bow on the shoulder from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with the same Lanvin ‘Arpege’ minaudiere the model carried on the runway, was my least favourite, as I’m not so crazy about the colour.

Viktor & Rolf: I adore this chic blue satin gown with a bow accent from the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2013 collection, but I wish she hadn’t opted for the white blazer as I’m curious to see the whole look, which differed from the gown which took to the runway. She styled her look with her favourite Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ ankle-strap platform peep-toes and a pink clutch.

Frank Ocean Fashion Week

As the new star of the fashion world, musician Frank Ocean made regular appearances during Paris Fashion Week. He was spotted in the front row at five shows – Dior, Givenchy, Margiela, Chanel (not pictured), and Valentino.

Christian Dior: To view the new Dior collection, Frank donned some Dior of his own. He arrived looking smooth in a Dior Homme white poplin cotton shirt and Dior Homme black wool garbadine pants. It was a clean look, which he finished off casually with a pair of black-and-blue Nike sneakers. This was my favourite look of the bunch. Frank also sported Dior Homme at the Grammys last month.

Givenchy: At the second show, he switched it up a bit by wearing the casual on top. He wisely swapped his sneakers for a pair of black shoes and flashy socks, and matched it with a pair of charcoal coloured trousers. To add that bit of casual, Frank wore a Givenchy black sweatshirt from the Fall 2013 collection under his black coat.

Maison Martin Margiela: For Margiela, Frank opted for a pair of ill-fitted burgundy pants and an untucked white shirt. A black topcoat and his Nike sneakers completed his look. Unlike his first two outfits, in this Frank looks a bit disheveled.

Valentino: Half of this look was great. The other half was not. Sporting one of the hottest trends of the season, Frank wore a great pair of slim-fit camo pants, along with his sneakers – again. Unfortunately, he matched it with a baggy P.A.M. T-shirt from the Spring 2013 collection that says, “Psychedelic Life.” Not a psychedelic shirt, Frank.

Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy - LAX

After attending several fashionable events during Paris Fashion Week, Amanda Seyfried was spotted arriving at LAX yesterday afternoon.

As I stated in a previous post, Amanda loves Givenchy.

Judging from this look she loves the menswear too, because she donned a textured Givenchy sweater with a Madonna and child motif from the Spring 2013 collection.

This could mean she owns so many Givenchy pieces that she’s already running out of womenswear options, but likely that she just loved the iconic piece.

Black jeans, black shoes with red laces and a black, white and grey Givenchy ‘Lucrezia’ bag completed her look.

This is just one of three that the actress has been seen carrying.

As you can see below, the bag comes in a variety of colours.

Givenchy Lucrezia Bag

You can buy Amanda’s Givenchy ‘Lucrezia’ bag in a varitey of colours from Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys.com, farfetch.com US, farfetch.com, Matches Fashion Global, Matches Fashion UK.

You can also buy Amanda’s Givenchy sweater from Bergdorf Goodman.

CR Fashion Book Issue 2 Cocktail Party

Carine Roitfeld launched the CR Fashion Book Issue 2 with a black-tie party held during Paris Fashion Week at the Hotel Shangri-La on Tuesday, to which she invited a host of celebs, including Kate Moss.

Jessica Chastain: The Oscar-nominated actress wore a black Givenchy Fall 2013 draped gown with sheer sleeves, which was accented with a thin black cable belt. The sleek look was styled with a gold clutch and coral lips.

Amanda Seyfried: The Givenchy-loving star wore a head-to-toe Givenchy look. Going against the all-black dress code, she added a light-blue lace blouse to her look, which consisted of a black leather and wool coat and black pencil skirt; she styled the look with Givenchy sandals and a Givenchy Rottweiler clutch.

Jessica Alba: The mum of two, who is becoming something of a front-row regular, followed the all-black rule to a T. Wearing a Valentino one-shoulder LBD with oversized velvet bows, she styled her look with black tights, black pumps and a black manicure. You would think those bows would be overwhelming, but I think Jessica makes this look work.

Black and White Celebrity Trend

What’s black and white and seated front row at Paris fashion week?

Celebs, of course.

One of the major trends which reigned supreme at the Spring 2013 shows was black and white, ranging from mod 60s looks at Prada and Louis Vuitton, stripes at Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana and Michael Kors, and classic pieces at Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Saint Laurent, with Alexander Wang, Balmain, Narciso Rodriguez, Victoria Beckham, Jil Sander, and Moschino also sending solid, patterned or striped black-and-white looks down the runway.

The celebs who have championed this trend this week were Nicole Richie, who attended both the Stella McCartney and Givenchy shows in black and white, and Jessica Alba, who also rocked the trend at Stella McCartney and Valentino.

Black and White Celebrity Trend2

Chanel’s front row is one place we shouldn’t be surprised to see celebs showcasing this Spring 2013 trend. The elegant Jessica Chastain wore a white ruffled blouse with a pencil skirt, while Milla Jovovich rocked a masculine black-and-white pant look.

Usually one to start trends, Anna Dello Russo also took to the front row at Chanel wearing a playful black-and-white look, which would’ve been better suited to Elle Fanning, methinks.

The best thing about this trend is that it’s easy to wear and affordable. You can rock it with the simplest staples, like vest tops, tees, skirts, pants and dresses.

Stripes might be the hardest look to rock; take it too far and you could end up looking like you are wearing prison stripes.
