Noomi Rapace In Givenchy – ‘Stockholm’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

It as a busy weekend in Tribeca, New York with a host of stars including Tessa Thompson, Lily James, Lea Seydoux, Alba Rohrwacher and Saoirse Ronan taking to the red carpet for the start of the annual Film Festival.

Noomi Rapace was also in attendance promoting her new film ‘Stockholm’ on Thursday (April 19).

The Swedish actress has never been afraid of fashion, often opting for bold strong looks which may not always work, but I always admire her confidence and bold choices.

Little else makes you feel quite as badass as a pair of leather trousers, and Givenchy’s Spring 2018 two-tone interpretation posses an urban cool finish, while taking away from any retro connotations the blouse was hoping to bring to the party.

I much prefer the look sans leather coat, but I feel the look works well either way.

Charlize Theron In Proenza Schouler & Givenchy – Global Teacher Prize 2018 & Global Education and Skills Forum

Charlize Theron was in Dubai this weekend, where she attended the Global Teacher Prize, plus she spoke at the Global Education and Skills Forum.

Global Teacher Prize 2018: As this was an event of importance which didn’t focus on the celebrities, Charlize respectfully added a black turtleneck sweater to her dual colour Proenza Schouler Fall 2018 v-neck dress. I was immediately enamored by the world-traveller feel and the chic appeal of this look. The jewels added a touch of glamour without over doing things.

R.I.P Hubert de Givenchy

Just last week we were celebrating Gal Gadot and Chadwick Boseman wearing Givenchy Haute Couture to the 2018 Oscars, so I was sad to learn that the French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, who created iconic looks for Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy, died at the age of 91 yesterday.

The Haute Couture designer upheld a standard of quintessentially romantic elegance in fashion for more than four decades. But if you look to Clare Waight Keller’s debut Givenchy Spring 2018 Haute Couture collection, it’s clear his legacy continues to inspire and will live on forever.

Upon hearing the news that Monsieur Givenchy had died Clare said, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of a great man and artist I have had the honour to meet and get to know since my appointment at Givenchy. Not only was he one of the most influential fashion figures of our time, whose legacy still influences modern day dressing, but he also was one of the chicest, most charming men I have ever met. The definition of a true gentleman, that will stay with me forever. My deepest thoughts are with his loved ones in this difficult time.”

Charlize Theron In Givenchy – Jimmy Kimmel Live

Following the ‘Gringo’ LA premiere, Charlize Theron stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (March 7) to promote the film.

She showed a softer side in a Givenchy Pre-Fall 2018 ensemble, which had a poetic romance with the sharp knife pleating of the skirt contrasting the feminine charm of the blouse.

As per the lookbook, she cinched the outfit with a leather belt, playing up the western nature of the accessory with a pair of tall boots.

I was charmed by the two-tone boots the look was originally styled with, but I find myself enjoying the sophisticated juxtaposition of the actress’s look, especially as she has punctuated it with bright red lipstick to tie in the belt.

Were you a fan of the boots?
