Zoe Saldana In Givenchy - 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Zoe Saldana attended the 2013 Vanity Fair party held at Sunset Towers in Hollywood, California on Sunday.

The actress wore the second most tragic Givenchy look to hit the red carpet this weekend, or should I say this dress was the worst of the two – I will have to toss a coin to decide.

While Amanda Seyfried’s was overworked, Zoe’s, who has one of the best bodies in Hollywood, was unflattering and aging.

It’s kinda pretty from the breastbone up, but the black satin skirt would’ve flowed better without the tiered detail.

I’m surprised the usually flawless Zoe allowed this to happen.

Amanda Seyfried In Givenchy - 2013 Vanity Fair Party

Amanda Seyfried performed with her ‘Les Mis’ cast at the 2013 Oscars on Sunday wearing a dramatic red Givenchy gown with Kwiat ruby and diamond jewelry.

She also wore the same gown to the 2013 Vanity Fair party, which was held at Sunset Towers in Hollywood, California.

Her custom-made tulle gown with a red leather belt was my least favourite on the night, mostly due to the construction of the bodice.

It looks complicated, overworked, and not too comfortable either.

She fared much better in her Alexander McQueen red carpet gown.

Florence Welch In Givenchy Couture GrammysFlorence Welch, who’s a lover of the dramatic and detailed, didn’t disappoint in a head-to-toe emerald green look at Sunday’s 2013 Grammy Awards at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

The dual nominee walked the red carpet in a custom gown that was modified from a Givenchy Fall 2009 Couture design.

Offering a fresh and oversized spin on the studded trend, the gown lit up the night’s events with a full-on sequined design. Adding a sultry element to the dress was a thigh-grazing slit that showed just the right amount of skin.

The singer accessorized with matching green strappy sandals and a box clutch, also by Givenchy. In addition to a bevy of rings, the look was finished with gilded nails, a moody red lip colour and face-framing strands of the singer’s famous red locks.

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy - The Hollywood Reporter Nominees' Night 2013

Jessica Chastain changed into a second look for The Hollywood Reporter Nominees’ Night 2013 celebrating the 85th Annual Academy Award Nominees, held at Spago in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

The actress wore a Givenchy Resort 2012 dress.

Her textured sateen v-neck sleeveless dress, with a draped overlay at the bodice and a sculptural peplum waist, was styled with the same Christian Louboutin nude pumps she wore to the luncheon early in the day.

Kohl-rimmed eyes and pink lips provided the finishing touches.

With so many stars rushing to wear the latest Pre-Fall 2013 look, it’s refreshing to see Jessica wear a look from a previous season.

In saying that, you may remember that this look was also previously worn over a year ago by Ashley Greene and Kim Kardashian.

Kate Mara In Givenchy - 'Side Effects' New York Premiere

Kate Mara joined her sister, Rooney Mara, for the New York premiere of ‘Side Effects’, held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Thursday evening.

You’ll be delighted to see that Kate sported a new hairstyle, wearing her hair down for a refreshing change.

Her Givenchy black jersey drop-waist dress with a double-layered flounced skirt was styled with black Nicholas Kirkwood heels with a white swirl detail on the platform, and a gold Judith Leiber clutch.

Barely-there makeup, including a nude lip colour, provided the finishing touches.

Do you appreciate this small side-step out of her comfort zone, or is it more of the same for you?

Claire Danes In Givenchy - 2013 SAG Awards

Claire Danes showed off her post-baby body on the red carpet at the 2013 SAG Awards in a one-shouldered black and white gown.

A winner of the evening for her work in ‘Homeland’, the star’s Givenchy dress was unique thanks to its asymmetrical art deco-inspired embellishment down the side from hip to hemline. And I enjoyed the simplified geometric design of Claire’s red carpet version over the runway look.

I love that she went with a bodycon silhouette, but wish the structural draping between the body of the dress and long sleeve had been equally as snug-fitting.

To carry the dramatic look into her beauty, the actress opted for a soft, face-framing hairdo and an oxblood-hued lip.
